This dork was bothering my sick girlfriend who was having an asthma attack in the parking lot. I had literally just gone inside to pick up her asthma medication.
We tried to go in the store together after to get her some tea and food but my girlfriend ended up throwing up and having another asthma attack so I walked her out, and on the way out another security guard with a dark skin complexion asked us “you guys were in here all that time and didn’t get anything?” which I feel like was not only unnecessary but almost kind of insinuating we were shoplifting or just walking around aimlessly.
I went back inside the store to continue shopping to get my girlfriend some tea and food while she waited in the car and she called me when I was checking out to tell me the security guard that had been staring at her earlier, had walked by her car again staring at her again which bothered her because she is embarrassed of her asthma and was trying to utilize her learned breathing techniques. He then began to approach her vehicle and tried engaging with her while she was in a medical crisis.
I was very fed up at that point and I left the store and without buying anything and yelled at the security guard to get away from her vehicle immediately. He then approached me and equipped his pepper spray and started to threaten to assault me with it. I have shopped at this store for years and my mother in law worked here for over 10 years as well.
Both security guards were out of line with the way they were treating us and the one who approached our vehicle should definitely be fired. I will be making a police report and reporting this incident along with pictures to the security agency that Fred Meyer uses. We should be able to pick up medication and have an asthma attack in the parking lot without being harassed by grocery store security. Absolutely ridiculous.

I some how always see crazy posts about this location but I've not ever been here for any of those issues thankfully. I love this location however I hate that they removed the healthier section from the produce area. The store is always clean and cool. Security is very active. Pharmacy is really great. Staff is pretty great.

My barbeque pork wouldn't scan in the self check out line. The lady that helped me couldn't see the numbers they were so small so between the 2 of us and the photo we got it done! I love Fred Meyers1
