Like other reviewers here I had a bad experience dealing with Jeremy. At first he was great but that was before I had paid him. Once paid he was nothing but rude and obnoxious. Yelling and getting hot mad just because I asked him for what I paid for, no more. I never got a thing. It says above they may be closed and I hope they are. If they are closed there's very good reason for it. The list of reasons is too long. If your reading this consider yourself lucky you haven't gone here yet and find a place that will treat you right before and after you spend your money with them....

Never got my title, never got listed as the legal owner of a car I bought from them years ago, now I can't even contact them to get my paperwork sorted out. If they are still open, I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I had a great experience here with purchasing my Toyota. I can see why a lot of people may have had a rough experience here. I admit, I was pretty cautious after seeing the reviews here, and even more so when I arrived. It has the look and feel straight out of a Better Call Saul episode. You drive into the lot with Mars' crater size potholes. Some of the vehicles have flat tires. And the sales guys look like they just rolled out of bed to greet you. But for me, it's all about the car itself, and about how dealership is willing to work with you. I think a lot involves taking all the proper steps of buying a used car before making your purchase and not just listening to what any salesman tells you. 1) Get access to the Car Fax history (I received this from both my credit union and Vancouver Toyota) 2) Get a pre-purchase inspection from a reputable mechanic. I actually did not need to haggle these guys. And trust me, I love to haggle! The Camry hybrid I purchased was already priced well under KBB, 1 owner, under 100k, clean title, and fully loaded. They allowed me to have a pre-purchase inspection done at Vancouver Toyota which took 4 days to get the appointment. Well worth the $150! That checked out really well. Then they gave me a fair value on my trade-in without even driving my vehicle, which was right inline with what I was looking to get for it. I used my own financing through my credit union, and they were patient in working through that process which took a lot of back and forth, and resulted in them driving out to Gresham to pickup the check. Gary, the owner, is very personable and great to work with. Ray, kept good follow up throughout the process. Again, I can see how this place gets its negative reviews based on appearance, perception, and organization, but my experience overall was a great takeaway. After searching almost a month all over Oregon and Washington for this specific Toyota, I don't think I could have found a better one with this low of miles for this price! Again, if you plan on paying thousands for a used vehicle, it's worth it to pay the extra $100-150 to get a pre-purchase inspection at a reputable mechanic first!

I wouldn't even give these guys one star. I tried to test drive a vehicle and they told me that I could only test drive it if I was wanting to buy now. I've been to a lot of car lots before, new and used, and never heard of this so called "policy" so I for one do not recommend this place as the owners attitude was very rude and inconvenient (this is my opinion). A few years ago we were at this dealership and were able to test drive two or three vehicles. I'm not sure if it's under new ownership or if policies are made on the Fly depending on their desire to sell a car. Regardless, in my opinion I would definitely detour from buying from this dealership. There's a level of confidence and trust that is important when you buy a car and I do not have any level of either with this dealership. Protect yourself go somewhere else. In all fairness. I did say "what an a__hole as we were leaving. However if the attitude fits.....I did call later and apologize for the comment. Save yourself the trouble, go somewhere else.

My son bought a car from J & M Auto sales and the transmission went out before he even got it home. He tried to call the dealership and they wouldn't return his call. I had him file for consumer fraud with the Attorney General after speaking with my lawyer and reading these reviews where the majority of them claim a similar experience. I urge anyone else who has had this happen to file a claim of consumer fraud with the Attorney General and protect others from this shameful business.

AWESOME! Bought A Chevy Aveo 2010, runs like a dream! They gave it to there mechanic for a full check. I did not have a car for the day while waiting for mine to be ready, then I got a call from my Mother saying she thought she had a stoke. Dean and Jeremy got right on it and gave me a beautiful Ikea for a loan to get my family and take my mom to the hospital. It was a long day, but I was at ease because I now consider J and M family! : )

I had a good experience at J & M. My Salesman Joe was great and got me into a super cute car that runs great! They worked with me on the down payment I needed and financed me in house with ZERO interest! Even with my TERRIBLE credit history. So far so good with J & M! I will def be back again when I need another car!
