I took my car here to get checked because I was noticing my steering wheel shaking and whole car vibrating while I drove it. It was inconsistent but happening often enough to be concerned. Knowing it’s an older car, I thought for sure it would be something obvious to diagnose and fix. Well, turns out that was not the case for A1. They supposedly drove my car several times over the span of 2 full days and couldn’t recreate the issue. I asked if they fully inspected it to see if they could see anything concerning, but the guy there (Ricky/Rocky maybe?) assured me the car was in great condition for its year and there was nothing visibly wrong with it. I was advised to just “wait it out” until something worse happens, which doesn’t really seem like safe advice to tell a customer… but I digress. They ended up charging me $180 which I thought was absurd, but I was trying to be understanding of their time. I had to trust their professional opinion and move on.
Later that SAME day, I had to drive out to Ridgefield and the car started shaking about 10 minutes into the drive. It actually got so bad that I had to pull over because I thought for sure the wheels were going to go out of control and take me off the road! Long story short, someone I knew offered to take a closer look at it and they immediately discovered issues with the brakes, roters, and the alignment. Go figure. If A1 would’ve taken the time I paid them for to look deeper for the issue they would’ve discovered this. Instead they took my money with no explanation or help whatsoever.
I don’t normally go out of my way to write reviews, but as a woman looking for help in a male dominated industry known to rip-off women, I really rely on reviews to find good service. Overall, I feel very taken advantage of and will not trust this place again.

I brought in my Toyota for an assortment of codes popping up. The A-1 team diagnosed the problem and explained the reason that parts needed to be fixed. They serviced my car, were clear with the price, and answered all my questions with care. They were honest and empathetic to the stress that car issues can present. Thank you A-1 Vancouver!

A really great business who took the time to attach the damaged skid plate and bumper trim under my car while I wait for the collision place to do the remaining work. I had people stopping me to ask if I knew I was dragging them under my car. I did and needed to avoid any further incidents or conversation for a few more weeks.The office was neat, orderly, and the professionalism was a great touch to my hectic morning. The time spent there was brief but the fact it was done so quickly is appreciated.
