We have been bringing our fur babies here for decades.
They are kind, quick, have a wonderful attention to detail, and are happy to listen for a long as it takes to answer questions both in person and on the phone.
I've called many times with concerns and the staff are patient and very my questions answered.
For as long as we own pets, we will be coming here.

In previous years, we had wonderful experiences with Orchards Vet Clinic with our other beloved pets, but our most recent experience will have us never returning to them.
Friday Oct. 11th, we took our beloved Blackberry, a lab-border collie mix to Orchards Vet Clinic because she had suddenly lost a tremendous amount of weight, and her appetite had completely vanished. In addition to this, she was very lethargic and drinking excessive amounts of water to the point of vomiting it up. Naturally, we were incredibly worried about her. The people at the clinic were made aware of all of these things during her visit. We were suspicious that she had diabetes, as looking at the American Veterinary Medical Association's page dedicated to diabetes in pets, Blackberry was suffering from several symptoms directly associated with diabetes. The clinic ran tests, but unfortunately they wouldn't be done until the following Monday at the earliest. So, they sent us home to wait. Note, they did not do any diabetes testing in the clinic, to which we were not certain if this was doable.
On Monday Oct. 11th, Blackberry's condition deteriorated from sleeping excessively throughout the day on Friday but still walking, to not even standing for more than a few seconds at a time and being incredibly listless compared to before, where she would respond to any form of stimulation, be it a squeaky toy or her name. We got a call from the vet telling us that her blood tests showed that Blackberry had abnormal results, suggesting that she had diabetes. We took her in immediately, where ran more tests. These tests came back showing extremely bad numbers, and that Blackberry had, without a doubt, Type 1 Diabetes. They gave her insulin injections, and sent us home.
The major points of concern are as follows. Firstly, they could have run diabetes tests inside the clinic on the same day, as they did on Monday when she was in worse condition. Instead, they sent the tests off to a laboratory which took several days to process since it was closed on the weekend. This was despite there being ample reason to suspect Blackberry had diabetes based on her symptoms of which the clinic was made aware of. We were not aware that the clinic had the ability to perform tests in the clinic on the same day. Second, we were very clear that Blackberry had not eaten the past few days. Therefore, she was given insulin on an empty stomach when she was taken in, and again in the evening at the time we were instructed to give her insulin as she had not eaten. We were NOT TOLD THIS WOULD BE A PROBLEM. Our instructions for insulin injections included where to give the injection, and when to give the injection, and ideally near the time she eats. Again, we had told the vet that she HAD NOT EATEN. We trusted that we would be given proper information and instructions, including if we were to see her condition worsen over night. Instead, we were told that she would get better by Wednesday. But instead, Blackberry suffered what I later suspected was a seizure, but did not notice as it looked like it was little more than her dreaming. We were not informed about how serious that could be, or what ANY possible signs of a worsening condition were. Everything I know is from outside research, to which I AM NOT AN EXPERT, AND SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO TREAT OR MANAGE A CONDITION AS SUCH. My family's greatest mistake was trusting the vets to act like experts.
Blackberry passed away early Tuesday morning, and was buried next to her dear friend who had also been a longtime patient of Orchards Vet Clinic.
We do not trust them anymore, and will never trust them again.

What a sad ending to 5 years of been going there, had a usual appointment for my cat at 8:30 I been bringing my cats here for years, I wanted to make sure my cat isnt given further vaccines in this visit then it already, the blond gal turned the visit investigative and telling me booster vaccines are required and can’t see my cat unless I do that. It’s an indoor cat it’s been going to this clinic since it was born. But yeah turned away. Something is wrong with this lady fr that’s not the way to upsell. I am there for a usual check up and minor things and my cats been going there for years, upsell me something else other than vaccines. boosters aren’t required, it’s an in home cat. I have never had an issue in years till now. It’s the only place my cats went just cynical. Everytime I been there they been nothing but friendly not the problem with this one always been good vibes upbeat younger animal loving folks. I really hope this is fixed to future clients and not shove booster vaccines in peoples face as a “requirement”.
Update: I read their response simply untrue I wasn’t offered a doctor, I simply walked out when I was told “we can’t take you in today” by most people that’s the cue to go. I asked about what notes you have to make sure vaccine isn’t on THIS visit and we on the same page for the visit. Beans and jelly been going to your clinic since they were little over five years approximately they had their initial stuff I didn’t want more at the moment. I asked if there is anything about vaccines on this visit it’s a yes or no. Not a counter question of “when they were vaccinated?” And suggestive selling. It’s outside the scope of the visit it’s a follow up visit with concerns I gave over the phone. Making sure the notes are accurate. Your words “then we can’t take you in,” they have never been a problem in the years they been going there. Just disappointed, the point of my review isn’t to prove right and wrong but to hopefully improve the approach to customers and not be invasive beyond the scope of the customer concerns. You vaccinated jelly like a month ago the doctor was amazing. The records don’t lie. I took time off work to make this appointment. It’s just disheartening when it’s taken out of context. I am not upset at staff nor anyone. Customers do things at their own pace I just hope there is understanding to the next folks. That’s what reviews are for to improve. Just disheartened no hate to anyone :(

We have used Orchards veterinary clinic for years. They’ve fixed many of our cats. This is the first time that our dog has visited. I really like the front desk people and the vet that we visited with. However, to do the examination they took my dog out of the room. When they came back, they complained that my dog wasn’t very well-behaved. He was resistant. I said, of course he was. He does not know you and he was away from me. If they had come and gotten me, I could gave helped keep him calm. I just wish that they had examined him with me instead of causing my very old dog anxiety by taking him away from me.
