Pure Barre Vancouver has become my oasis. It is the best place for me to get in a workout and build my flexibility, strength, and self confidence. I am so thankful for the community it has given to me.

Echoing the review below about the receptionist at this place. I really hope that she is not the owner of this place because people like her should not have a privilege of running a business. I feel extremely sorry for anyone that works with her. I was one minute late and it was not my first time in the studio so I definitely did not need any special paperwork or briefings. I had everything I needed for the class, knew where to go and what to do but being one minute late was enough for this lady to cut me off. I can't even explain the awful energy coming from this woman, I have never met anyone so disrespectful and disgusting. Can't even explain how I felt leaving this studio. No one should ever feel that way for being late one minute. Even if it's their policy, the way this woman treated me and delivered the message made it so much worse. People like her should not be in client facing position period. Extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. There were other people at the front desk that didn't even look into my face and from what I could sense they were very ashamed of this lady and how she was handling the conversation. I will never come back to this studio so I don't have to see the face of this woman ever again.

Pure Barre is the most effective workout to get your whole body toned in less than an hour. The instructors work hard to provide unique and challenging classes each time they teach, and the barretenders, aka receptionists, do a phenomenal job maintaining customer relationships.*It very clearly states in the company’s policy that you can not be late and that class starts on the dot. This is not to be mean, it’s for your safety and out of respect for other members. No one should be threatened with losing their job over carrying out their required duties. Even if that means turning a new client away to ensure the rest of the class who showed up on time are able to get the most bang for their buck.**Also you if it’s your first class you can’t show up at the same time it starts because it could be dangerous for you to take the class without understanding certain terms and how to have proper form, that’s how people get injured. To the Karen who couldn’t be bothered to read the emailed and texted instructions before showing up but found the energy and timeto leave a one star review, don’t come back.

I walked in at the time the class started that I had signed up for and was turned away for being late. Totally absurd way to treat your customers. Sounds like another customer had the same experience with the same woman at reception (whoever was working at 10:30 on 11/3/2022). She should be fired or at least spoken to about how to create a welcoming environment. This is an exercise class, there is no need to be so uptight about start times. Its my workout and I can live with missing a few minutes, so why would you need to be so militant? Very short sided and I will absolutely never go back.

I've been doing Pure Barre for a number of years now and love the ever changing work outs! The instructors are punctual and can always be counted on to start class on time. Which is key for someone like me, who squeezes in workouts early in the AM before kiddo drop off or at lunch between work meetings!

I’m not really sure where to begin regarding my experience with this location and the front desk receptionist. I am extremely active and have been working out regularly my entire life. I currently belong to orange theory and in the last I have done CrossFit, yoga, kickboxing, HIIT, TRX classes and more. I used to belong to barre3 in Salmon Creek as well. I’m not new to fitness world and am very familiarized with how it works. I have a 6 month old baby at home and am able to run out the door for a workout class a few times a week when my husband gets home. Today, I was looking forward to trying Pure Barre as the location is close to our house and I anticipated enjoying it enough to exclusively sign up with them. I walked in at 5:25pm, immediately the energy coming from the front desk receptionist (didn’t catch her name but she was an Asian woman) was super snarky and pretentious. She was very unprofessional, unwelcoming and rude. She immediately started pressing in to me that I was late. Even though class didn’t start for another 5 minutes. Excuse me? What? Apparently if I am not 10 minutes EARLY then I am …. Late. In all of my 32 years on this planet, never have I heard of being late if you aren’t 10 minutes EARLY. I’m still scratching my head on that one. She starts going on about a late fee and telling me she knows nothing about me and my history or if I have injuries. Again, what?! I don’t have injuries that are current or could be considered problematic and If I did, I would have informed you far in advance before deciding to show up to class. She then told me that I could not join class if I don’t have special “sticky” socks. So I am new to Pure Barre but have taken two other types of Barre classes in the past and have never been required to purchase a special kind of sock. Even still, that’s fine. All good and fine, that’s the issue. The issue was her tone, her attitude, her delivery. I have never felt so unwanted at a place in my entire life. I’m still just sitting her in shock about the way I was treated . I run two very successful business’ and not in a million years would I make a client feel the way that this woman has made me feel. I would never speak to someone in such a disrespectful manner and I certainly wouldn’t start threatening someone with late fees when they are 5 minutes early versus 10. I was in such utter disbelief that I could hardly explain to this woman that all of this felt very cold and unwelcoming. I had no problem buying the sticky socks but she could have kindly expressed that this type of barre requires them. To whoever owns this franchise, I would HIGHLY encourage you to look in to the staff running your office. You just lost a potential long term member because of your receptionist and her lack of professionalism. Anyone looking to find a new studio or regimen, do yourself a a favor and go anywhere but here! I can vouch personally for orange theory fitness, the TRX Results gym across the street, Barre3, Burntown Fitness on 192nd is fabulous. Seriously, anywhere but here.

Please beware of the staff at the Camas location. Woman at the front desk is unwelcoming, rude, unprofessional & overly pretentious. Clearly hates her job. So much potential to be an awesome studio.

Something about this location always motivates me to push myself harder in my workouts every day. I'm betting it's the atmosphere- right when I walk in there's always this positive energy, so motivating and encouraging! I can't tell you how many times I walked in just feeling so tired but I leave feeling more refreshed and energized and ready to conquer the day. As a single mom I have struggled to find places to exercise where I feel like the people around me are genuine and kind...but then I found this location and I'm so grateful I did. The instructors really care about you as a person, and that means more to me than burning off some calories. It's that sense of belonging and kindness that keeps me coming back. I am so thankful to have found this place and can't thank them enough for everything they have done, not only for my physical well-being but for my emotional-well being. They are so understanding of my circumstances even if my energy level is low after a hectic morning with the kids. I'm so thankful for them!
