I went in to buy a bottle of wine on Thursday 6/8. I am 65 years old. I got asked for my ID. Fine. No problem. But, then John W, the manager asks to see my 50 year olds wife ID. She left her purse in the car. He refuses to sell us the wine. What if I am with my 12 year old son. You won't sell alcohol to me? I don't think that is WA state law.Who needs that kind of embarrassment and harassment from the store you frequent. I'll go somewhere else from now on. Dave P

i been around these stores all my life. I dont believe they have there customers a heart. There a solid capitolist entity. They tend to target many seniors based on there loyalty. since the inflation there prices have gone thru the roof, seemingly praying on the unfortunate. Lets call it price gouging. Compared to winco there not competive. I limit my business there . Some meat pricing can be ok . Be very cautious on many items .

Lori who works check out and self check out is the worst! Gave people such a hard time when not wearing a mask, and tried to get everyone fired, and now she's not wearing one! Put on your mask Lori, you're killing everyone. You're the worst, I'm shocked Safeway hasn't fired you yet for all the drama you like to start.

Love going here, we go weekly. The staff is friendly and the parking lot isn't overly annoying to navigate.

This station can be tough to get through. Limited on pumps with diesel. At the time of our visit they were receiving a fuel delivery. This made it even more difficult to get into the diesel pump.

Absolute nightmare of a pharmacy. My dog has had health issues and it has gotten incredibly expensive. I got a prescription from my vet for two inhalers for her. After my vet visit she emailed them to me. The prescription included her license number and everything. I went to Safeway and as soon as the pharmacist saw my prescription she said she couldn't except them because they didn't have a "wet signature" I had my vet then call in the prescriptions. I found two coupon on good RX that cut the price down around $40 but they were still going to be over $300. I called this Safeway Pharmacy to check on the prescription and they wouldn't answer so I had to leave a message. 24 hours later no returned call. I called again the next morning. Same thing no answer and no call back after leaving a message. I called the customer service about 4 hours later told them I wasn't getting an answer the woman made some excuse about there only being two people. (Still not buying they are too busy to call back after two days) she patched me through and I left another message. Next day still no answer. I then called my vet to make sure they called in the prescription and they verified they did and offered to call the pharmacy for me. Less than an hour later I started getting texts that the prescription was ready. So apparently they got the prescription and just sat on it for several days. My husband went in to get the prescription and was told the coupons from good RX didn't work. They are obligated to use these and refused to call the number provided for additional instructions. So here I sit with a sick dog having breathing problems because these horrible pharmacy techs refuse to help and can't be bothered to call back. Horrible experience. This guy in the pharmacy is not only lazy but on some kind of power trip. He should not be working in the medical field.

Pharmacy Lady needs to take the stick out of her a*** Nobody in line but me and she is cutting me off with rude tone and roles her eyes. Not professional. Someone better straighten that girl up, I've worked at woodland safeway for a couple years and my manager wouldn't put up with that, ever heard of customers first? Sorry hunny but those fried blonde ends aren't doing you any justice.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I stood at customer service for 10 minutes before I went and asked. Then waited another 5-7 minutes before someone showed up. The lady cashier I asked to call someone didn't even look up to acknowledge me, the customer she was dealing with told me she would call someone. Not my first time having a bad experience here. Just had so much time to write a Yelp. While I was waiting the Employee of the month rudely interrupted the associate that was speaking to me. Just overall bad customer service.

Lovely Lady was helping me get warm food and her co-worker was in such a rush because he can't manage his time correctly and raised his voice at the lady in front of me. I should have smacked that bi*ch across his face. I told the lady to not allow him to speak like that to her. Dude thinks he is tough but in reality he is a little pus$y and should get fired

Follow up to the prior, just too many errors in the checkout, and virtually 100% in favor of the store. Marked 20% ground beef @ $2.58 in the "Just 4 U" website, but got charged $4.49 on 8/9/21. When brought it up was told only the 93% was on sale and I was wrong. Went home, printed out the page, walked up to customer service counter and waited 10 minutes with no help, a tall blonde woman watching the self checkout totally ignored me. Last months they had pork chops on sale using the club card at $1.79/pound, but was charged about $2.99 (same woman by the way who just told me I was wrong), none of the packs were marked correctly (had to go back and get about a $12 refund from someone who actually listened). Wonder about all the people who are being overcharged and not checking their receipts. Seems like at least 2 errors a month. I never seem to have a bad ring up at Winco or Fred Meyer.

If you days ago I picked up the very largest liquid detergent, five of them, and I went to the self check out. I didn't really think anything about the fact that they were heavy and I would have to lift them up to get scanned. Probably because when I go to Fred Meyer they scan anything that I have a lot of or that's too heavy for me to lift. But at Safeway the woman said this is self check out you have to slip them up and scan them yourself. I am 70 years old and I am definitely going to try very hard not to go back to the Safeway again. I have vacillating back-and-forth between Safeway and Fred Meyer because they're around the same location. This has definitely decided that for me. I have had other issues in the past where the people that pick up groceries for home delivery pretty much take over the aisle and I items
