This is an awesome Safeway. I don't know why people would give it bad reviews. They have awesome employees and the store is always clean and well stocked. I love how there aren't employees EVERYWHERE like some of their competitors. I can come in and just take my time and breathe because the store is big and not overcrowded. It's definitely busy but it doesn't feel that way. One of my favorite stores and definitely a regular go to plus they have tons of deals on food, weekly coupons and discounts on gas. They also have tons of organic options as well as plant based options too if one is looking for that. Simply love this store. Keep up the great work. Thank you!!

This store will be my second favorite grocery store because it's close to our house. Seldom is it super crowded which is a bonus for a grocery store and it doesn't really matter what time of day or week you come. You're always well stocked whatever you need, so there's typically no problems finding anything that you might need. We're here on a mission and that is to make tuna fish sandwiches. Anyone great store come and check them out if you're in the area.

the manager thats there around 10pm specifically today Saturday the 24 is the worst she literally kicked me out the store because supposedly to her and i quote " you smashed a glass bottle outs my store we saw you on the security cameras leave now " and i asked her nicely could you recheck the cameras i have no reason ti smash a bottle on the ground i didn't had any kind of bottle with me when i parked somebody left a glass bottle in the spot which I didn't see so when i parked the bottle broke but it was mot my fault to begin with and i was only there doing some uber eats i was picking up an order and she was extremely rude and i stayed cool the whole time even tho i knew it wasn't my fault at all but well she just walked out made sure i was gone and i find it d*** that she says she checked the cameras and saw me smash the bottle on the ground like id love to see the video were i apparently smashed the bottle but of course she didn't show the video and honestly i just felt really discriminated by her and the way she treated me like are you serious? Right now like why are you lying about it when you clearly checked nothing why blame me ? which is why i feel discriminated because like was it because i am mexican and i only say this bec I've had incidents like this were i was pointed out for blamed for because of my skin color and it just really sucks that theres people like this specially when i stayed cool and calmed the whole time even tho i knew it was not my fault but ill be back tomorrow to speak with a different manager or supervisor because its really unacceptable and unprofessional the way she treated me

The deli was closed at 6pm today after I was looking for quick Chinese food after I worked a 12 hour day! No workers? Otherwise -I do like the deals and coupons-but tonight was disappointing and annoying that you can just close up when you feel like it. This isn’t the first time this has happened.

I am normally a huge Safeway supporter! Love the gas rewards and the weekly specials in your store. I spend a good chunk of change there on a monthly basis. I may have to change stores though. Today, I went to get plain Kaiser rolls in the bakery area. There was one bag and the rolls were as hard as rocks. I took them to the counter and ask them if they had any fresher ones. The person who helped me was very nice and said that she was baking some and that they had four more minutes plus cooling time. She suggested I come back in about 15 minutes. I actually went back about 30 minutes later. A different lady was there and told me that Kaiser rolls were on the Shelf. I explained that I had been here earlier and that the lady who helped me said I should come back and that she would bag up some fresh ones for me. She said no problem and said that if I could wait a couple of minutes she would be glad to do that for me. A few minutes later she went and got the roles and now she was putting them in the bag and printing the tag another lady came out and said what are you doing? She said I am bagging up these rolls for this lady. She wanted fresh ones. The other lady said oh she thinks she's special huh? I was standing right there when she said it. I couldn't believe it. I was so upset I took my rolls and went to customer service.I told the young man at customer service who just looked at me with a blank stare. I can't believe it. To make matters worse the bag of hockey puck rolls were back on the shelf. I am skeptical of ever shopping at this store again if that's how regular customers are treated!

This place has the WORST customer service. Thevdeli definitely sucks. If you tell the manager Art,.he's more interested in holding up the counter; he does ABSOLUTELY nothing there. This is the only name brand I have problems with; Fred Meyer and Winco are great. I guess Safeway is rich enough to pick and choose who they serve in the community

Recently moved and this is my new, closest Safeway. My last neighborhood Safeway was my #1 for over 15 years! This one, though... UGH. SO DISAPPOINTED. Went in, lots of people without masks not giving AF. Asked at the counter and they referred me to "director" Shauntay Toombs (sp?) I explained to Shauntay that we got a few of our items and were leaving because we were uncomfortable with the unusually large number of people unapologetically maskless. (I estimate maybe 1 in 10?) She said, of their mask policy, "there's a sign on the door." In fact, she answered every question I asked about their policy with, "there's a sign on the door." Yep! Included questions like, "What about enforcing the state mandate?" "What about your vulnerable and elderly customers?" "What about the safety of your employees?" Same answer, each and every time... that is, until she said, "is there anything else I can help you with?" before wishing me the most sarcastic and sardonic, "Merry Christmas" I ever heard. She even childishly yelled it again as we were walking out as if to say, "please, never come here again. On behalf of Safeway, F you and your desire to feel safe in a pandemic." (Was a petty clear translation to me... maybe you had to be there.) Anyway, no problem, "director" Shauntay Toombs. No problem. You just lost your company a *minimum* 5K+ annual customer. Oh, wait.. adding all the gift cards I buy there, safe to say 10k at least. And I am going to advocate for your employees and your vulnerable and elderly customers by more than just putting up a sign.

This review is only in reference to using their app to do your shopping on-line for pick-up. Because I'm disabled, I do nearly all my shopping on-line. I love the Safeway app. It is easy to use, even if you're not savvy with on-line shopping. You can do a search for a specific item, shop by aisle or shop by department. Once you select an item, you can read nutritional information. It will also show you similar options so you can compare prices. There's a section where you can look for promo codes, buy one get one free, and you can still use your Safeway Club card for further discounts. It also remembers your previous orders and makes suggestions based on past purchases.

I will NEVER shop at Safeway again!! It is NOT senior or handicap friendly anymore. When I went to check out I was told I could not use the vynl bags with handles I've used in the past because of the virus. I had $250 worth of groceries which tells you I had a lot of items. I told the checker I had used sanitizing wipes on them and even showed them the zip lock bag of wipes I was carrying and had used on the cart to wipe it down before I started shopping. This makes no se

They have a great selection, one of the few places near me that carries Oat Milk, and many brands as well! I love their produce section and the customer service has always been good for me. The prices are a tad higher than neighboring grocers but I think it is worth it because the store is kept clean and staff is friendly.

Ok, so Fred meyer, Winco and Walmart all do chicken. But none of them have it at 8 am. I work graveyard, so this is dinnertime for me. So I find Safeway has rotisserie chicken ready then Also. Due to the lockdown, I had been considering hitting Panda and I remembered that Safeway had a similar offer. OMG for $13 I got 2X the amount panda would have sold me. Their deli is great, even though choices are limited. I have dealt with a lot of "Care-less" cashiers and support staff. Not at Safeway. Always told "thanks for coming" I always thank the deli as I know what hell they go through. The prices don't bother me when service is good. At the store, I LIKE spending it there!

If I could give less than one star, I would. The deli manager is the rudest woman I have EVER met. In the midst of a global pandemic, when everybody is already scared and stressed, she yelled at my hard of hearing mother when my mom didn't hear her the first time. I have asked her a question about a type of meat and if they carried it, and she snapped at me and told me they NEVER would and to get it out of my head. I am utterly disgusted by this woman, and the fact that she is not only allowed to get away with this type of stuff, but also is the MANAGER shows that Safeway clearly does not care about its customers. I will never come back as long as that vile woman gets to yell and be rude to customers. In case she isn't aware, WE are the reason she gets paid. If we don't come in, YOU don't make money. Maybe you should learn how to act if you work a customer service job. If you want to treat people like garbage, find a place that doesn't allow you to work with people. Safeway- we are supposed to be taking care of each other during these times. Maybe you should retrain your deli manager and teach her to keep her bad attitude to herself. I will not be back, and I urge others to remind Safeway that CUSTOMERS are the main part of CUSTOMER SERVICE. I work a service job as well, and I would've been fired immediately, but I suppose my job actually cares about the people we serve. I would LOVE to be contacted about this. I would love to hear your reasoning for letting this go on, because there is no excuse for letting your employees treat people so poorly. None at all.
