I’ve been going to this pharmacy for many years, for medication and all my vaccinations. They are the best!

Had an insulin prescription that allowed for either pen or vial. Pharmacy chose pen without any coordination (mostly expensive option). Will never use this pharmacy again.

Sara in the pharmacy is amazing! She has the best personality, she is always happy and makes you feel very welcomed. She is very professional and efficient! I highly recommend having her help you with your pharmacy needs.

Jessica helped me to refill a prescription where another company's pharmacy had lost my mom's last prescription by sending to a completely different state. Hard to fill prescription so the pharmacist checked and verified with another location which was able fill the order immediately. The other pharmacy kept delaying fulfillment leaving my mother without medicine 5+ days, thus risking her health and life. Thank you Jessica (store on 20th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98686) for going that extra mile. Safeway is now my pharmacy of choice.

The Safeway pharmacy on 162nd Ave is fantastic! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They almost always do what they can to accommodate requests, like asking to have a medication filled that day. Obviously, they aren't always able to do this when they are super busy, but they work their butts off to try to make it happen! I highly recommend getting your medications filled at this pharmacy!

Don’t go here if you don’t have to. Multiple employees have been very rude. Whether it’s the butcher that can’t be bother to provide meat, the self check out Cesar who talks to you like a child, or the Drive Up pick employee who that gets frustrated when their janky app isn’t working as though it’s your fault. Do your self a favor and go to Freddie’s.

Generally I have a 4-star experience at this pharmacy, with one star taken off for wait times. But, in the last month I have called ahead FOUR times to ensure my script was ready, only for my caregiver to be told each time (after waiting in line 20 or 30 minutes) that the script was never filled! She then had to wait another 30 to 45 minutes. This extra waiting, after I had called ahead, cost me $40/hr. Customers' time is important, too.
Don't tell the customer it will be ready after a certain day/time and then fail to do it!

My opinion is the pharmacy staff works very hard at this location. However, it is also my opinion that they are, and have been under staffed since I started having my prescriptions sent here roughly a year ago due to insurance changes.
The wait is usually on par with other pharmacies if you call ahead, and have the order started (this call is in addition to the call/prescription order your provider sends).
I will say there are always at least 2 people ahead of me everytime I go which can result in standing there for a minimum of 10 minutes (max 30 if your rx is ready). I think this is due to only having one pharmacy technician/one register open at a time. This is a busy location.
The pharmacy manger has helped me out a couple times with sorting out my state insurance, so I could get my medicine on time which was very impressive to me (that he took the additional time & effort to help).
The only other thing I'll add is they have been out of my medication several times, but it always comes in before what they gave me runs out, so I'm grateful.

Using this pharmacy on a regular basis is like being in an emotionally abusive relationship. There are some good aspects, like the pharmacists being decent. But some of the other staff have the empathy and communication skills of a damp sock. And their online system is an absolute nightmare lacking the most basic features necessary. If there's any sort of delay they won't actually tell you anything is wrong. When you call in to ask why your Rx hasn't processed yet, the act like it's your fault no matter the reason and offer zero alternatives. Once they needed something from my insurance before my medication could be processed, and the person on the phone flat out refused to follow up with my insurance. I had to track down the right people to talk to, myself. It turned out the pharmacy hadn't even sent the request to the insurance in the first place. And in their online system it will just say the order couldn't be processed, giving zero indication of whether it's insurance, their stock, something from the doctor, or some other reason. There's a dozen other pharmacies in the area. Go literally anywhere else unless you want to be scolded over the phone with an old woman basically saying "What do you expect me to do about it?"

Every time we collect medication we queue for at least 30 mins. It is never already prepared even when I called a head so there is a further wait. They need either to be better organised or they are short staffed. They are not even apologetic- I’d be embarrassed about the poor service but they don’t seem to care.Very rude and unhelpful when answering phone, old lady on phone and in person makes you feel like a naughty school child for having accent.on my last visit the pharmacist rolled her eyes, tutted, and made me to repeat my daughter’s birthday 3 times even when I was showing her the number with my fingers she still looked at me disgusted I never felt so shame.all I wanted to get my 4 months old sick baby medication. Absolutely disgusting service, we all have bad days but wow. Will not be using this place ever again and certainly will not be recommending it to anybody.

The actual pharmacist thinks it’s ok to scream at my wife. My wife who was simply asking for an estimate on the wait time for a medication. A medication for our toddler. The reasoning was because they are short staffed on a three day weekend. My wife was first told 30 min. Then 1 hr after waiting those 30 min. Then 2 hrs after the screaming from the pharmacist. We can only deduce that the time estimates that were given were arbitrary or retaliatory. It is apparent that the pharmacist does not work well under pressure. A terrible quality for someone who has the power to provide medication. A medical professional should treat others better.

Repercussions from Covid has made all business short staffed but they have been handling it very well and continue to provide excellent service. Overall they are much better than other pharmacies that I’ve been to.

I picked up a prescription for my mom and when the woman handed me the bag I said "Thank you". She completely ignored me and as I walked away she said to the woman behind me, "Thank you for your patience". 0/10 for customer service.

Definitely show and act as though they are very busy and perhaps under staffed.
