I transferred from another Safeway due to closure. I choose this location because of the PHENOMENAL Pharmacists, Mychal & Lisa are & I've had the pleasure of getting to know & receiving quite gentle immunizations from. This staff matches the extremely kind, capable, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, friendly & patient (one of them is named Liz) service I've Always received from Mychal & Lisa. ALL of the staff @ 6701 E.Mill Plain Vancouver, WA Pharmacy match the kind of PHENOMENAL customer service that Mychal & Lisa have Always given me in the almost 13 yrs. that I have known them.
Sincerely,
Renita S-Chambers

The pharmacy has the best and most helpful technicians and pharmacists that I have ever been to! I’ve been coming here for years and have had all sorts of issues caused by me or the doctor and everyone at this pharmacy has always been willing to help me solve things. Be kind to others if you want to be treated with kindness!

Staff is always polite, kind, fast and helpful when I need it. I have been using this pharmacy for 6 years and have only had one issue in all that time. And it wasn't even a bad issue, my medication was out of stock. So they asked if I wanted to wait another couple days or go to one of the other local stores. They also helped me when my insurance lapsed and I have to take it every day or get very sick. They got me a generic type with a discount card that saved me almost $800. So, thank you to all the staff that work here!

Took awhile upon pickup, but between the two staff members, they got it figured out. I’ll be back.

It is 9:14 and this pharmacy is not open. The pharmacist didn’t show up until 9:11. Very unprofessional. They are supposed to open at 9:00

So they are just sooo nice! I love coming to Safeway pharmacy because they just have a different attitude where they are kind and nice and are always trying to help out. I needed Covid tests and everywhere I called the pharmacies did not want to check my insurance, were too busy, told me my insurance will not cover it, did not even disclose that insurance can cover it and really did not want to help me at all! They wanted me to pay out of pocket if they had the tests. Both Safeway pharmacies on Mill Plain advised me that insurance could cover it, were knowledgeable about insurance, treated me with kindness and respect and this location because they had the Covid tests in stalk; had no problem checking to see if it was covered. I am so stressed dealing with illness with my children and the fact that Safeway was so helpful and kind made such a huge difference. My experience is that the other pharmacies have just been rude to me and it’s never a good experience. The lines are long sometimes but I would rather wait and get really good service from people who are kind and care. And the lines are not always long. If you go during busy times you will find long lines but that’s everywhere. So far I rate the two Safeway pharmacies on Mill Plain best in nation! As a mother I so appreciate them. When you call all the local pharmacies and find the two nicest pharmacies to be from the same company, it says something about the company, the workers, and leadership. Lorena is amazing and super helpful! Thank you Lorena!

Yesterday I came in to pick up a prescription for a migraine I was having, I unfortunately had no one to pick it up for me so I stood in the line with my head throbbing and nauseous. I was happy to see there was only one person ahead of me. It became apparent that this customer was having a personal conversation about a trip she took, not sure how well she knew the staff but she seemed to be sharing a whole lot with them, I was getting a bit inpatient worried about throwing up, I was looking at the pharmacist thinking she would say something or move a little quicker but it was clear the lady was slowing the pharmacist down with her talking. I feel like the pharmacist should have spoken up and said let me help this next person, something! The pharmacist are very polite but they are too polite, when their being inconsiderate to the next customer, like they don't matter. I wanted to say something but I wasn't sure how the other customer might react and I needed to protect myself from any stress, so I waited. To top it off when I made it to the counter they couldn't find my meditations, so I had to wait some more. Mistakes happen but the fact that I had to wait again, was even more aggravating.

Not very user friendly. Waiting in the line is rather long and for me, very painful as I am disabled. They do have seating (as of the last time I saw it) but you have to go into a dark room with chairs and nothing but four walls and I have no idea how they would know I'm waiting for a pickup since there only one person and they are helping someone... Unless something has changed I am disappointed. However, the service itself has been good...so far (since last July)

Wow, just wow. They didn’t understand how to bill triple covered people. I tried twice to explain myself that I’m triple covered and that all three plans are active (I’m disabled and have triple coverage so I don’t have to pay ridiculous amounts for my medications), but finally I had to get MY MOTHER involved in a three way call because the billing person just was not listening. Tina (the billing person), was rude, belligerent, and argumentative on every single call. She would not shut up long enough for either my mother or me to get a sentence out. Finally at the end of the call we found out that NONE of the insurance cards on her end were even correct, which we could have found out in under 15 minutes if she had chosen to ask questions instead of argue with me and my mom for 30+ minutes. At the end of the call, after figuring out that she did not have the right insurances, I was trying to give her the correct information, telling her that I was trying to make sure this didn’t happen again for EVERYONE’S sake, and she kept saying on and on that I was already getting a refund and she didn’t know what else I wanted her to do…even though I was telling her EXACTLY what I wanted her to do.She needs to be fired. Badly. At least moved to not working with customers. She has the worst customer service I’ve seen at a pharmacy, she argued the entire time, and I doubt she even looked to see if she was billing the correct insurance policy, because she kept saying the name of the current one, but we found out that she was looking at an outdated one from last year….THAT I TRIED TO UPDATE WHEN I MOVED TO THIS LOCATION, so THIS wouldn’t happen. You guys are the closest pharmacy to me. I can’t freaking walk, not long distances, and I don’t drive. I NEEDED you guys to be better than this. Now I’m supremely disappointed, and there will be formal complaints filed, and I have one more thing I’m forced to rely on my family and friends for. Shame on you. Especially you Tina.

The service here is horrible and they do not have anyone’s health or best interests in mind. I was traveling to Vancouver and fell ill. My doctor back home prescribed me an antibiotic to this pharmacy since they were open on a Sunday. They only partially filled the prescription but charged the full amount, saying it would be ready the next day. It was not ready the next day when I went in person. The clerk told me to call all the local CVS and Walmart pharmacies to see if they had it and then call this Safeway pharmacy back to have them transfer the prescription. I did that and then they refused to transfer the prescription since they had already billed insurance for the full amount. I called my doctor, who had the prescription transferred to my home pharmacy since I was due to travel back by this point. Now that I’m home, this Safeway still filled the prescription despite me being across the country. They were rude to my home pharmacist and refused to do anything to help me. Now I have to pay the cash price to get the rest of my prescription. So basically, this Safeway pharmacy stole half the cost of my prescription from me through their ineptitude and unwillingness to help their customer. And on top of that I’m paying extra now to finish my course of antibiotics. Shame on you, Safeway pharmacy!

Got my Covid shot here today. There were about 6 people behind the pharmacy counter, no one wearing a mask. No one wearing a mask when giving shots despite having me go into a room with a sign saying "masks required!" I guess that must be an old sign. It's shocking and sad that no one in the pharmacy seems to care. I get they're not "mandated" or "required" but I guess I had hopes that people working in health would care more about public health.

Service is more poor than in WinCo or Walmart. Wait more than 20 minutes in bakery for somebody come, already called service twice, then a girl came up and reluctantly said we were closed, although the store was open. didn't apologize anything. garbage store in the area.
