Prices are higher than some places but if you have the app you can get some good deals. Customer service is good and quality is what your paying for.

We came to get cupcakes to celebrate my kids getting out of school. They called for unemployed to help us. Chris came and was so amazing. He talked about dinosaurs with my son and was all around just a great employee. He gave excellent customer service asked if there was anything else we needed and made it such an amazing trip.

Although I have never had issues with shopping at this location their employees have given me a less than enjoyable experience on more than one occasion. It has never been to the point where I wanted to write a review until today. My children collect Pokemon cards and I noticed today for the first time you had a vending machine. It being the kids last day of school I was hoping there would be something in the machine for them. Alas there was nothing in the machine. (which is typical) All of a sudden an employee of the store says “Good luck it’s empty I already cleared it out this morning” then proceeded to spit out 8 items she got from the machine while working. This was incredibly frustrating and I asked her “you work here and you cleaned the machine out?” She responded “Yes I did” with a smirk on her face. I told her “thats really nice of you to do so the customers don’t get any” She said “Yeah I know it is right.” Now from my point of view a worker should never be able to do something like that in their home store while they are working. This not only gives them an advantage over everyone else it’s taking joy from your CUSTOMERS which should be your #1 priority. I was very frustrated so I decided to speak to the manager who basically brushed it off as nothing. She didn’t seem to mind that her employee blatantly disrespected a paying customer, she just basically said they can do what they want.” Now I was getting passed the point of frustrated and decided to leave at this point. After talking to other friends who work at Fred Meyer and Walmart they are strictly prohibited from purchasing from the machines in their store. It is highly frowned upon in the collector community and I hope everyone who sees this post goes to a different location or stops going to Safeway entirely. Disrespecting customers and their families is where the line should be drawn.
Lady was in her late 50s, wavy hair, glasses, and a terrible example of a Safeway worker. Shame on her and your manager for the lack of accountability. Hopefully this helps other people, you don’t have to take disrespect. Cheers

The girl named 'Zoee' with red hairs working at the cashier counter was very rude with me and my friend. She was even rude with the old lady standing in front of us. Her customer service was very very rude, honestly.

Whoever was working in the floral department on July 4th really has poor customer service skills, thats one way to treat people I guess.

This days shopping trip was quiet chaotic, there were a lot of shoppers and not a lot of tellers so I gave self check out a try OMG (Will not be doing that again) right off the buzzer goes off ATTENDANT NEEDED the cash receipt was empty so then I put my own shopping bags on the tray BEEP BEEP BEEP ATTENDANT NEEDED OMG SO AFTER ANOTHER 5 MINUTE WAIT I get to start scanning my groceries. It took 30 minutes to get out of the self check line for 6 items. NEVER AGAIN... EVERY MACHINE THAT DAY IN THE SELF CHECK SECTION WAS MALFACTIONING...
Well not much has changed, the self check out is still having issues. BEEP BEEP BEEP..

Get this message to the right person and I’ll change my review to 5 stars. Shame on you for not allowing your employees to receive tips. This kid is outside, sweating his butt off, dealing with idiots yelling about their grocery pickup order. We all know you don’t pay them enough, so I try to tip and help out. This is a gross practice. I’m glad you make enough to not need tips. The rest of us do, though. Maybe he could have afforded a Gatorade today.

I have never been more embarrassed and humiliated then last nights visit to Safeway around 8:10 pm. I entered the store at the produce entrance since the deli side was closed for the evening. While making my way to the restroom I was yelled at my and employee working the self check out " hey were you going"? Heard by everyone in the store even the manager Star who was down my the entrance to the break room. My husband and I jumped around and I said going to the restroom. Employee replied ok it's down there were my manager is. I shook my head knowing we're it was. I approached the restroom and passed the manager who said I believe she was yelling at me??? What manager allows employees to yell in a crowded store at them. Rediculas. To make it better about 15 mins later I walked up to the self check outs to find Star the manager talking with the employee about me in not so nice terms. I was horrified as she stood there trying to act like me and being very antimatted to her employee while customers stood by. Star stopped when turned around and realized I was standing there the whole time listening. She tried to walk away I asked for her name and said I would be putting in a complaint. I will not be returning to this location. I've been a manager for almost 30 years. I take pride in that all my customers receive great Customer service from both my staff and I. Safeway you can do better then this.

Someone came in and was paying with a food stamp card and a Molina card and had an issue and needed to re run the food stamp
Card first. The first cashier was super friendly but didn’t know how to do it. The customer was clearly a little awkward about holding up the line. 1st cashier called someone up (who I assumed to be a supervisor but maybe not) the 2nd cashier was snarky and asked the customer a condescending question about the card and when he said sort of confused gave a reply with a very rude & loud tone “oh well we do” . The other cashier also asked the 2nd if she could take him to another line so she could continue down the line and the 2nd cashier dismissed her. She eventually did take him to another line and was clearly still making snarky comments. I get everyone has bad days but the customer was clearly already awkward and feeling bad and I can’t imagine how she continued to make him feel.

Self checkouts were closed before 10pm long lines slow single checker makes door dashing a hassle I think the change is not helping much easier for people to walk out of store without paying when the only checker is distracted bad choice Safeway
