This is my local Safeway and normally I would’ve definitely gave this store 5stars before my encounter yesterday with Jewelz and Judy T. So I use a wheelchair but can walk short distances, I get to the store WALK in NO drive baskets available, no problem I usually get a chair or wait near customer service so I can support myself on the counter. As I’m approaching the counter these two ladies are standing there discussing cigarettes and counting them so I don’t interrupt but found myself waiting for 3or 4 long minutes as they didn’t see my big self standing there directly in there faces. Thankfully Aiden who it seems had just maybe came from a break or just arrived to work came out from the back and offered to assist me with whatever I needed and proceeded to locate a basket for me. As he walks away to do so a couple walks up to the counter and of course Jewelz saw and helped them in a drop of a dime why was that, was I too big to be seen or to dark to be seen questions that never get addressed cold world. Big shouts out to Aiden and I can’t remember the guys name from the day before this incident but I was on a drive baskets noticed a spider trying to attack me and he actually took his shoe off and saved my life I don’t do spiders but I love humans. Keep your extra curricular at your house ladies you two should be very ashamed of yourselves.

Located on the corner of 112th and Burton road this store is always fairly busy. The story is clean, they have a big selection, the Lions go fairly quickly, they have a lot of handicap parking they also have handicap carts, they have a pharmacy a bakery a butcher shop and a hot food area where you can usually get Chinese food they also have a Starbucks.

I’m really upset with an older checker working late night Sunday named Teresa. I came in to grab a couple things I forgot for dinner, one of which was a single can of beer for a recipe.
I had a picture of my ID because I had left my purse at home. when I got to her line, I told her I had a photo and I just needed to pull it up, she seemed snippy and just said “yeah okay no worries- whatever” and so when I produced the picture, assuming it as no issue. She looked up and laughed in my face making me feel stupid for even thinking a photo was an option. She continued to be really condescending as she explained it’s a policy and she can’t take a picture. Company policy or not, if she would’ve told me “oh so sorry we can’t do that!” It would’ve been done deal and I would’ve understood. But when she laughed and shook her head, snatching the beer away and hiding it under her counter, I was offended and made to feel dumb. She just kept saying there’s no way Safeway can take that. another checker piped in- also laughing- saying it’s a state law. They both acted like I was stupid for even suggesting it.
I said I’ve worked for Safeway and NEVER heard this before, I was getting defensive because I was being treated as stupid and felt like they saw me as “pulling a fast one” on them. Teresa just waved me off condescendingly and rushed me through her line and out the door. It was really unprofessional. I felt like they were treated me as a lesser because they assumed I had malicious intentions on using my photo.

This store has the best produce of all. This store is well run from the looks of things and employees good CS . Now that Freddy bought em out I expect changes hopefully better overall pricing

The store is large, and the grocery items have been distributed at the periphery of the store. Aisles and aisles of paper items, firewood, sanitary supplies, baby supplies separate the actual groceries. The store is EXTREMELY unfriendly to any customer who might need to sit and rest for a minute -- there is not one single bench or seating area inside or outside the store. There aren't even chairs or tables in the Starbucks area. Customers are treated as criminals. Restrooms are locked. If you buy liquor, it is held at the customer service area, instead of being placed in your cart. Prices are considerably higher than competitors. I was surprised and didn't buy some things on my list. Using Instacart at Fred Meyer and tipping generously is still cheaper. This is my first and last visit to this store.

For the most part, I really like going to this Safeway here! All the workers are generally very friendly and helpful. However today I had a very off-putting experience. I read the site wrong (so this is my fault) and thought Safeway opened at 5am, but it opened at 6am. I parked and literally got out of my car at 5:55am (not exaggerating on this). And this older female worker was giving me the ugliest stare down as she saw me walked out of my car and told me "Ma'am. Safeway opens at 6:00am" in a very rude tone with a very mean look.
I have been in customer service before so I totally understand the annoyance of someone trying to enter in somewhere before opening time - but the approach was extremely unprofessional. So I went in my car, waited until 6:00am and grabbed a cart and walked in. No big deal. Upon walking in, she was still giving me the ugliest stare down like I was such an inconvenience to her
lol. She was wearing a neon vest.
Anyway - silly and honest mistake on my end for thinking it opened a lot earlier than it did. I wasn't expecting to come in at 5:55 even after finding out the fact and had no problem waiting in my car. But her delivery was extremely unprofessional and off putting. More so when I went in the store, she still gave me that same look.
BUT everyone else in Safeway is very easy going and helpful if I ever need anything.

So this store has the BEST floral dept I have ever seen in a grocery store! Truly amazing!! The store has recently undergone a wonderful face-lift! Much expanded in all depth and lotsa new items! Go see it!
