Did not like how the second I walked in I was being watched like a hawk and flowed me around when I was looking around at things .it was super uncomfortable to be in there I had to put my things back away bc of how they made me feel. I do not recommend it at all what so ever

If you enter the store, you know what you are getting into. Full of funny, funnier, and the funniest items. If you don’t have an open mind and a sense of humor, this is not the store for you. Staff is friendly, the store is full of surprises.

Stood staring at the jewelry case for over 10 minutes. 4 employees in the store. All of them ignored me. One was busy at the register, 2 were in the back building a display (I get it, but weird call on a Saturday). And the other one I have no clue what they were doing. Finally the employee at the register asked people who came in after me if they needed help with the jewelry, they said yes. I assumed they would help me too since I had been next to same case for a long time. I was wrong, the employee helped that person then it was back to acting like I didn’t exist. I took that as my sign to leave or that I was unwelcome.Luckily Hot Topic, Euphoria, and the kiosk downstairs all jumped at the opportunity to help me find body jewelry.Im sure it’s fine if you want to grab yourself a shirt and walk up the counter, but if you need to have locked up merchandise, you need to be proactive to helping people access it to buy it.

EDIT-DAN and HEATHER in the Vancouver location were great. I give them FIVE STARS. I went in to return the shirts that finally showed up. Neither the packing slip nor the confirmation email I’d received had the itemized prices so they had to sleuth and math and generally gear up for battle to get the return handled. Dan even went so far as to add items to his cart to test the prices. I appreciate their efforts and pleasant attitudes. The 1 Star is for Spencer’s online and as a company.I ordered two shirts on September 28, with an expected delivery date of October 10. By October 11 I hadn’t received any information or items, so I emailed them using the confirmation email I’d received at the time of ordering to make sure the order number was correct. It’s now October 17, I’ve emailed twice more, with no response yet, and called customer service twice; both times I was hung up on. Absolutely horrendous experience. I will be initiating a chargeback.EDIT- a customer service rep responded (politely) to my email thread and had the audacity to tell me that there’s no record of my outreach. They did this IN the thread with all of the emails attached. So I provided the screenshots of the call logs as well. I’m interested to see how they respond to that evidence. So far, definitely not making it better.EDIT THE SECONDOH MY WORD YOU GUYS. It takes them DAYS to respond and it’s a different rep every time and they don’t even answer my questions. I made it in store to return the items.

I hesitantly write this review because it will embarrass me (again).I've been a customer at various Spencer's for years. I always enjoy a casual browse whenever I pass one of their stores. Sometimes I find cute things (like the Care Bears beanie I am wearing in my current profile pic).Today was a different story.Initially I went in search of a gift, but after not finding anything I wandered into the 'adult' section. I picked up a small flogger, lightly testing it on my (lower) fully covered leg. I can assure you, there was no inappropriate intent, just curiosity about the product's quality. I did not loudly smack myself or get frisky.Suddenly, I was scolded by an employee. Instead of a polite correction, I was met with a loud public reprimand. I understand retail can be challenging, & I truly sympathize with that. What disappointed me was the lack of tact & understanding displayed in this situation. While I comprehend the need for store rules, I felt unnecessarily humiliated. A simple, private conversation would have sufficed, instead she stood in a doorway several yards away from me (far enough she had to yell) with her arms folded. If I wasn't noticed before, the whole back of the store was now alerted (in all caps, but I'll spare you)."Please do not try merchandise out on yourself!"The other employees, on the other hand, were kind & helpful, reminding me of the service I used to associate with Spencer's.I share this experience not to bash the store but in hopes that it prompts a reconsideration of how customers are approached, especially in delicate situations like these. I'm assuming this person was a key holder or management of some type, so thought it was okay to yell. It was not okay to yell at me.

Went in just before close to get a septum ring. A person with short orange hair helped me grab it. They turn around and ask how I clean my piercing and jewelry. I tell them I use antibacterial soap and water. They then get upset and start talking to me like I’m stupid and tell me I’m doing everything wrong. How I MUST ONLY use saline. Nothing else is good enough. I tell them I’ve had my piercing for a decade and have never had any issues with my septum. They then doubled down and continued to tell me I’m wrong, and I need to do things their way. After going back and forth they had the nerve to try and sell me saline for $5. (You can literally make saline at home for pennies but okay.) I don’t know why they thought I’d buy anything else from them after they talked to me the way they did. I almost walked out without the purchase. They went as far as to tell me to look them in the eyes and listen to why I’m wrong. That’s a hell nah from me, dawg. They told me I have no idea about wound care. I’m an EMT. That’s literally my job. My friend who was with me is a CNA. And open wound? It’s healed. I’ve had it since 2012. By the time I got to Spencer’s I had my ring out for 6 hours. Didn’t close. New jewelry went in with absolutely no issues.I cut them off mid sentence and told them, “No, I’m in the medical field, again, I’ve had this piercing for over a decade, I know my body better than anyone else, I’m FINE.” They then got very pissy, tossed my jewelry on the counter and shouted for someone else to check me out. Super unprofessional and rude. I don’t know why it had to go that far. Accept my answer and move on.Jewelry is great though. Good quality, looks very cute in my sniffer. Btw, I cleaned it with soap and water.Edit: If you have cameras in the store, our first interaction with them was at 7:41pm. The back and forth was soon after.

I love Spencer’s, I usually leave very happy. However, this last experience I was just irritated. I wore these heel boots and walking around it usually makes noise. I walked towards the back where the toys are and me and my friend were laughing because we had an idea of getting my cousin something before he leaves for the military. One of the employees came up to me said “I know it’s funny but your boots are too loud so I’d like it if you quiet down thankyou”. But we weren’t even loud.. I have a feeling they asked us to quiet down because they found it immature laughing at the toys or..I’m not the one to complain at all, but this employee was the loudest in store yelling from the from to the back and it was the first thing I recognized when I walked in so I was kind of shocked that I got a comment on walking in my boots. I left kinda irritated and just so killed my mood. No hate to Spencers I will be coming back for sure hopefully just not on their shift..

They get a 1 simply due to customer service - it was the worst - was in line waiting to pay for over 20 mins only for them to open another register and help on the other side - no one on my side knew so it was pretty upsetting when people were being helped and they never waited would’ve been nice if they would’ve let me know hey we are opening on other side - but that was just the last straw: prior to that the girl working there was acting like she they didn’t carry snoop dogg shirts - me asking for about 6 of them seem to upset her - luckily another said they did infact carry some

Arrived 40 minutes before closing, knowing exactly what I wanted. An employee was standing in the doorway telling people they were closing and not allowing anyone in.
