Just try to get a hold of a human on the phone that knows anything about banking. I dare you. You are lucky enough to get past their call waiting system that is permanently experiencing unusual call volume and talk to someone at all. But I guarantee you they know less about how to solve your issue than you do. Their app doesn't work. And branches keep closing.

The lady the wouldn't let me cash IRA Check there as a member but had no problem cashing it elsewhere all they needed to do is call the phone number on the paper attached to check to confirm she was so Shure she was right that they couldn't she was not correct . It was a simple process elsewhere ?

As a member of Navy Federal Credit Union I rely on in network ATMs for my cash transactions. I pulled $200 from their ATM then asked the teller to exchange the 20’s for 50’s. She wouldn’t do it. Columbia Credit union had no problem making change for me.

Today I’ve had THE RUDEST customer service I’ve ever had. I didn’t catch her name. She has long black hair and darker complexion and busted makeup. And can’t forget to mention the hateful look on her face. It was pure evil. I went up to a window to withdraw money because the atm was only doing deposits. I understand the legalities of having a persons card when your not on their account, even if you got the permission from the owner of the account… As I asked questions..The way that she was responding was so unexpectedly hostile and rude. I was stunned by the way she came towards me as if she was trying to make herself seem superior as she laughed in my face about the situation. God bless my son sleeping in the back of the car.. I’m a different person since I became a mother. I want to tell Twin Star that you have made a mistake hiring this girl. Who knows how many other customers or even woman this troll of a banker has pushed them away and ruined their day by being a bully. Her home life must be miserable, she must not be getting the love that she desperately needs. And I hope that she gets help after getting the consequences she deserves. I hope this review lets many other people in the community beware of twin star and the people that work for this bank because this treatment can be given to unfortunately anyone. Twin Star I hope you make the right decision.

Solutions department is not truthful to customers! They only care about the business side, which isnt surprising. Switching to another credit union which I'm sure Twinstar doesn't care about.

Well, After 2 months with a loan from this bank, they said I didn't have sufficient proof of insurance, even though I provided proof and bought the correct insurance when I purchased the vehicle from the dealership. In fact, the dealer even went over it with me and explained that I needed proof of the correct coverages before I would be allowed to drive the vehicle away. So, I got on my phone right then and there and bought it from USAA (reputable company) with the coverages required for the loan. 2 months later I got a letter from twin star saying I had failed to provide proof of proper coverage and they were purchasing additional coverage at my expense. My payment then jumped from $308 per month to $535 per month on a 6 year loan. Doing the math, that means they stood to receive an additional $11,000 over the life of the loan for something I had actually already done correctly. I called the insurance service center who told me it looked correct in their system and did not know why twin star was adding coverage so I would needed to contact them and follow up. I called twin star customer service and after sitting on hold for 24 minutes, a gal named Jinny (sp?) Said she could help. But when I explained the situation, she said "okay, hold on one moment" and then kicked me back out to the main line where I waited on hold for another 27 minutes until I got a different lady who was friendly and nice, she told me she doesn't see the additional payment added to my loan. But would have someone call me back next week probably Tuesday. (4 days away). Now, let me be clear, customer service reps are not at fault here, I know their job is hard and they deal with a ton of mean and rude people on the phone. So I was polite and kind with them since they don't know my situation until I explain it to them, but the general help overall was not so very helpful. That said, they were trying to help, but didn't have the answers. This review is more about the policy of adding insurance to a loan without any real input from the customer and to the tune of $11,000 for insurance coverage that only cost me $240 total to have. The vehicle was a motorcycle which requires an annual payment to insurance, so not like an automobile where it is a 6 month premium. The bike itself was not worth $11,000. So this review is more about the unethical business practice they have going on with an insurance company to purchase additional insurance for customers when proof was already provided and how poor that practice is. If not fixed, I will submit this review to the BBB and the consumer credit buraues as well. I do not yet know if I will get this sorted out, I have to wait for a call back next week. To be continued I guess, but I definitely will be switching my loan to a different creditor ASAP and will likely NEVER do business with Twin Star again. Customers want transparency not slimy tactics to scrape money from them. If this gets fixed right, I may change my review to a 2 or 3 star, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hands down the best bank for your financial needs. Their support, professional demeanor, outstanding customer service skills, goes so far. Twin star makes banking a true family experience. The staff at mill plain location, learn your name and make every accommodation to help you leave with a smile. Thank you Twin star for learning your customers. Thank you Jason for caring. We are more then just account numbers, Twin star cultivates family union and truly cares !!!!
