Ginkgo Gem Shop is a cool spot for unique souvenirs and a fun, unexpected distraction. It is a fairly epic rock shop with a large collection of everything from dinosaurs and dragons to fossils, geodes, petrified wood, and all kinds of awesome rocks and minerals. The shop also features toys, gifts, wood and soapstone sculptures, and insect displays. Outside are large sculptures of dinosaurs flanked by huge petrified wood. There is a friendly shop cat that enjoys stretching and being scratched. It offers a good range of pricing, with some items less than $10 and larger displays over $1,000, though some prices are noted as high. It is a cute little tourist shop with lots of neat items to look at.

Fairly epic rock shop, some excellent not for sale specimens pictured, otherwise solid spot for petrfied wood and all your normal rock shop finds. Large collection of petrified wood book ends... something ironic about that...
