Chris was not thorough at all in reviewing my previous annual tax returns and the current information I submitted to him for my tax return making major mistakes repeatedly. When I would bring these mistakes to his attention he replied, “That’s why we have these discussions”. I was filing for an extension for my annual tax return and deposited $10,000 into Chris’ business account due to a property sale for this year as part of my extension which he subsequently deposited with the IRS as a direct deposit for me. Chris failed to include this $10,000 deposit as well as my last 1040-ES deposit I made for $2,800. to the IRS in my tax return when he filed it with the IRS. He also attempted to charge me 3 times more than the amount of the highest estimate he quoted me when I first contacted him when he finished my return. He reluctantly charged me his highest quote in an unpleasant manner and stated he would file my tax return. I received a letter from the IRS 7-8 months later about his mistake for not including these two deposits for a total of $12,800 in my annual tax return and resolved this matter with them by myself. When I informed the IRS with the date when Chris finished my tax return which he stated would be filed on my behalf at that time, I asked them why it took so long for them to notify me about these mistakes. They informed me they received my tax return 4 months after Chris finished my return (when he stated he would file it) which is the latest date an extension can be filed with the IRS for that calendar year. Apparently, Chris delayed filing my return for 4 months after it was finished which is the date when he said it would be filed in retaliation for me asking him that he keep his word for the highest quote for the cost of my return.

Chris Hunt did my personal and small business taxes for a few years, and did a beautiful job of them. Super nice guy and easy to talk to. He was very organized and took great care with my paperwork.

We used this guys "service" for two years and got very little out of it that was good. We were audited by the IRS and told his work flat out sucks. I am also still waiting for the print out for where the $21,000 Chris took from our bank account. All I can say is stay the hell away from this guy as you will be sorry......hey Chris, you want to send me the things you promised that will show where all that money went?? Actually I suggest you refund me a good bit of that.
