Nice store. Unique products. Pretty pricey, but I believe the products are fair trade, so the prices make sense.

Giraffe has an amazing selection of ethically sourced decorations and gift. Besides having an awesome selection of crafts, the service here was top tier! We ended up getting some decorative baskets, and the team was able to tell us where each of them was made. So many positive things happening here!

Any fashion aficionado would fall in love with Giraffe because it is such an outstanding store. The owner of the store has a deep affection for clothes, and it is evident in the way she presents her merchandise. The store has a cozy ambiance that makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.I received that personalized shopping experience. The owner has a keen eye for fashion and can instantly tell what size will fit you best just by looking at you. This level of attention to detail is hard to come by in most stores these days. The designs are bold, colorful, and exude a certain vibrancy that will make you stand out from the crowd. I was thrilled with the no-frills approach to shopping at Giraffe. I will definitely be back for more clothes and can't wait to see what new styles the owner will bring in.

What a gem store I found when in Vashon! All the good and cute stuffs are here. Definitely a true meaning of a happy store. They featured lots of interesting things from Guatemalan worry dolls, kitchen essentials, antiques, warm clothes & etc. The owner who's a former seamstress ended up the Giraffe store where you will surely appreciate the fabric contour on each clothes displayed. Most of them are from Pakistan made and the quality of fabric was personally handpicked by the owner as she journeyed throughout. She's the smartest and the friendliest! This store offered a variety of displayed products which will capture your personality. Clean store and upon entering they still provide hand sanitizer for everyone to use. If you're in the island make sure to check this out! You'll be happy I guarantee you. Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow Yeeps.

Gorgeous stuff, and very nostalgic to me on a lot of levels. One of the places on my list of places to bring people when they come to visit.

Fantastic store! I was visiting Vashon for the week and needed a baby gift. Found that and a whole lot amore when I walked into Giraffe Home. So many beautiful things, so wonderfully chosen by the lovely owner. Ended up purchasing baby gifts, plus awesome jewelry, skin care products, cards, housewares, and more. The owner shared lots of great information about the products and their origin, and even offered to gift wrap the baby items. Such a fabulous store -- will definitely visit again and highly recommend!

I am giving this review two stars instead of one due to the beautiful items offered in this lovely store. However, all of the three times in which I’ve entered this store, I have felt so unwelcome by the same employee (perhaps owner). I had bought a gift for a friend here: cocktail cherries and bitters. During that transaction, I mentioned that I was pregnant and was complimenting her on the beautiful kid’s section. She suggested I add their items to my registry, to which I said that I had no idea that I could add small businesses to my link. I stated this out of awe and excitement. She responded harshly and said that of course I could include them. I was newly pregnant and didn’t even know how to do a registry yet. I felt shamed for innocently stating my fascination and appreciation of the store and it’s products. I left on a sour note. After 24 hours of deliberating, I decided the items I’d purchased were not the correct gift. I went back the next day with my receipt and unopened items, and told the employee that I was interested in returning the items. Her response felt almost vicious. She spoke to me in what felt like a very cold tone, saying she wouldn’t accept them, as they were food items, throwing her hands up at the same time. I said that was no problem, but asked for future reference about their return policy, saying that I had figured an unopened food item could be returned. She responded that she had no way to prove the items were unopened, until I showed her the wrapping still on the bitters, and the un-popped top on the cherries jar. Meanwhile, I repeated that it was no problem and that I did not know. It almost felt as though she just didn’t want to lose money, which would have been acceptable if she had spoken logically and open heartedly. I thanked her for letting me know of the policy, stated that I simply did not know, and made to leave. She then processed a return for one of the item. I told her I was not accustomed to buying or returning food products at non food establishments, and that it was helpful to learn more. She then snapped that it was a food establishment. I clarified that I meant a grocery store. It seemed as though this woman wanted to jump on my every word, and I wanted to leave as quickly as possible so as to withdraw myself from her horrible attitude. She finally wrapped up by saying she didn’t mean to be nit picky. This was her closest attempt to an apology, but was insufficient. I will not return to this establishment. I appreciate what they sell here, but am very unimpressed by the employee I’ve met. I do not want to be shamed when I openly express curiosity about policies and products. I would not be surprised if many other customers have had similar experiences.Vashon is a small island town, and it deserves more thoughtful interactions among community members.

I walked in here to get a gift not truly knowing what I was walking into. Really the name of the establishment drew me in.I was presently greeted and even helped. Since I didn't realize what I was buying had a diffrent variety of tops. Infact I closed them down and did not even realize it. They truly went above and beyond to make my experience great. Even gift wrapped the items for me. I will definetly be back.Thank you Pracilla and Janice. You definetly made my day and showed true kindness!I appreciate you both!
