I went here for the first time the other day and it was so charming! The baristas were so friendly and welcoming and I loved the atmosphere. I saw another review describe it as a "hippie mercantile" which I think is the perfect description! I loved the stained glass, the Rosa Parks portrait, and the apothecary-type jars. :)

A sweet little grocery store with a surprisingly wide variety of products including coffee, books, records, and gifts. I was pleasantly surprised to discover a rack of quality cashmere scarves from Germany . There are friendly and professional staff in a rustic, relaxed atmosphere. This is an easy recommendation to visit for tourists and locals alike.

Minglement is one of my favorite spots on Vashon. Attached to the Vashon Roasterie, it's what I would call an old fashioned "hippie mercantile." The charm of the creaky wood floors and shelves full of bulk medicinal and food grade herbs, organic foods and other products is right up my alley. This is the one place outside of an Indian grocery I know I can find asafetida for cooking. Service is laid back but helpful, definitely a place to feel the island vibe!

Minglement is a can't miss if you're on Vashon Island. Good sound good, pastries aplenty and the friendliest most knowledgeable staff will serve you your choice of coffees and teas. If owner, Eva Deloach is around, well, you might meet the real hostess with the mostess. Have fun! ☕

I just stopped in for an almond croissant and coffee. Coffee is always good and the atmosphere is fine, but when they said $8.50 for the croissant, I said no way. The woman in front of me also refused her $5 doughnut. What a joke.

The experience today at Minglemint was disappointing. I'm new to drinking tea and was hoping for some recommendations. The guy working the register was very dismissive and said there were "hundreds to chose from" and that I just need to go "read the ingredients" and "pick them out myself." I realize that there were hundreds to chose from which is why I was asking for help and recommendations. It was during a busy time so I get why he came across as a bit flustered. My suggestion is for the owners to hire more help for the busy times. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything.

wonderful tea collection; roasted nuts are amazing; some things are a bit pricey, but worth the trade off.

The ambiance is lovely, the staff friendly, the hot beverages delicious. The gathering of locals chatting over coffee is one of the many things that make me long to live on Vashon!

Had a FRESH pour over, making up for the $$$ brown water the ferry galley served me!

Sweet place, both a gift shop and upscale mini grocery...has all the great organic foods. Even though it's small, they managed to have all the ingredients I needed to make a veggie saute!

Gotta love minglements.. this place embodies all of what's to love about Vashon. The best coffee!! An amazing selection of teas. Healthy snacks. An amazing shop with local veggies, raw milk, a cute book store and other oddities. A must stop if you come to Vashon

How wonderful to walk in here. It reminds me of walking through a menagerie, but full of hand-curated foods, some locally grown, many organic, and specialty items such as vegan and gluten-free. You'll find some local handycrafts, as well. Herbs stacked to the ceiling are simply a joy for pursuing. Talk to the knowledgeable and helpful staff, for they can help you discover great items that are tucked away in one of the many nooks and crannies. Grab a snack, piece of fruit, kombucha, and/ or sandwich and start off your day!
