What a bizarre toy store. It should be renamed a toy museum. I’m a grown adult and I was continually hassled by the owner of the store while I shopped. Even just reading packaging, both my kids and I were stalked relentlessly by the staff. The sad part is it’s a local business that I’d love to support however, the way they speak to their customers is beyond the pale. Take your money to a store that appreciates it’s customer base.

What a great addition to our unique downtown. I love shopping here and always find something fun and how can you beat free gift wrapping. Great inviting place full of whimsy.

The staff and owner were very rude and hated the kids. They told one of my kids to leave for playing with a toy. We then decided to go to Walmart for my kids to pick out a toy. Highly do not recommend.

We were treated so horribly at the inland octopus business. In addition, Mrs.Sheryl the cashier didn’t let me enter the store in peace. once we entered I felt a smelly presence behind me and my friends. Furthermore, once we started chatting about the horrible products, Ms.Sheryl came up to me and my friends and told us to leave the smelly store. ???

I love this little local toyshoppe. I come here every time I'm in town. Lots of cool little toys and learning toys for kids of all ages. I have no problem spending my money here. Even if I can order it on Amazon, I enjoy buying it here. Keeping it local and benefitting local owned business. Keep it up inland octopus ?

I dont want to be silent anymore about a particular incident I had at this store last Winter. I want to share my story and experience. This has been weighing heavily on me lately and Im saddened that Im still affected by this to this day. It was the middle of Winter and very snowy out but my kids and I were getting the winter blues. We didnt have many friends and no family around at the time, and not a whole lot to do outdoors so we decided to make our way to Inland Octopus. We dont buy out the store every time we go but I do let the kids pick out a toy and play with the toys at the table they have set up to PLAY with (which we had done a few times in the past with no problems). My kids are very sweet and gentle they werent being rowdy or messing up anything. There were maybe one or two other families there wandering about the store beside us. The owner came over and said, You have been in here for over an hour (we werent even there for an hour) and arent buying anything so Im going to ask you to leave. I showed him the toys in my hand that we were going to by in which he proceeded to take them from my hands and said, Ill put those back for you. I feel like it was uncalled for and humiliating. My daughter was sad that we werent leaving with the toy we picked picked out. Maybe he was just having a bad day but either way he lost a good customer that day

I’m in shock of how we were treated today. Our daughter is medically exempt from wearing a mask and is only 4. The lady behind the counter kept saying it doesn’t matter, after explaining our daughters needs she kept saying it doesn’t matter. So if you support a business who have zero respect for special needs children this would be a place for you to shop. Do your research as a business and understand the exceptions in place. Look through reviews because our daughter with medical needs wasn’t the first to be mistreated here.

Just went into Inland Octopus and the person behind the counter demanded everyone is masked. My wife and I were masked and she offered a mask for our 6 year old which we offered to take. Our 4 year old has a hearing aid that gets pulled out by masks and we said she was medically exempt. The lady stated that "doesn't matter in her store". We're in a toy store and you're going to say a special need child doesn't matter? Even after trying to get the point accross she was defiant and steadfast. These people obviously don't need money don't bother giving it to them. Terrible selection and pricing anyways.

This store is INCREDIBLE. We did a scavenger hunt for adults and had to hunt for clues in the store so we got real acquainted with everything they sold. Fun for all ages, tons of gift ideas from puzzles to magic tricks to apparel and so much more! A must see.
