Not super happy with the Umpqua Bank buyout of Columbia Bank. No one I recognize is at the new bank after my many years with the former bank. Even through its changes, the personnel stayed the same. Oh well. I'm pretty sure Umpqua Bank will do fine going forward, right?

They were ok at first but to get my money they insist on charging a fee. For the cents of interest I get for several years of banking. In the end - if I pay their fee I’ve LOST money banking here.

Worst bank I have ever been associated with. They stole $65.75 from my account. They offered to help but never did so they get away with it. I went back on my account over 9 months and still was missing the sum. I have to move to another bank. But I want to give them a zero. Now the last two months they have taken out $5 maintenance fees. Fees for what maintenance? I quit using the account!!!!

This bank is so relentlessly disappointing I have had to close out and go to Banner Bank. All this talk of "World's Greatest Bank" rings completely hollow when compared to CapitalOne or even Chase. They have few resources, never open, 16 minute wait times for phone help, and over EIGHT WEEKS to get a replacement debit card for my business. That's a deal breaker. It's a total mess if you're a small business customer. Look elsewhere.

I absolutely adore this bank! They really are the world greatest bank. They have helped me so much with my small business. They have great policies. Compared to other banks, that have so many regulations and policies that make banking almost impossible. Umpqua has a great staff, I have really loved the atmosphere that they give off In both locations CP and Walla Walla. I really do miss them being open on Saturdays that was a real convenience for me, but none the less the staff has always been able to help me. At both locations I am able to do my banking "quick and easy" and always I'm greeted with a friendly face. Any one looking for "painless banking" would appreciate and love this bank.

I have nothing to share that hasn't already been mentioned by hundreds of dissatisfied customers before me. To be fair, I am not reviewing this particular branch or any individual employee. It is Umpqua Bank, in general, with questionable business practices. Verifying funds before cashing a 3rd party's check should cover me in case the check bounces, right? Not at Umpqua Bank. They ding their own customers - hard - for someone else's carelessness. Brilliant. Oh, it gets worse, but I am not going to waste any more of my day reviewing an archaic, impersonal, inept financial institution, especially when hundreds of other customers (likely FORMER CUSTOMERS by now) have already done it for me. Just know that you will always come out on the short end of the deal if you bank with Umpqua. They find ways to get theirs first and you have ABSOLUTELY ZERO SAY IN THE MATTER.

I used to go to the branch in College Place, but that became less convenient for me when this one opened. Also, most of the staff from CP have moved to this office and their replacements have not been as friendly or helpful. Have had all around great experiences with all of my banking needs at this branch.
