We have purchased organic beef and pork from many different farms around Eastern Washington. Janelle sells the best tasting, flavorful and tender pork and beef we have ever had. I am not exaggerating, this is the best. If you buy the pork we recommend the Maple Breakfast Sausage, thick bacon and smoke everything.We have been eating organic for a long time, be aware that a lot of farmers have dropped the certification because its too expensive and who wants to deal with the Feds? We look for farmers that follow organic, non GMO, non pharma best practices like Holy Cow Grass Feed.A half pig and a quarter beef will last two people almost a year if you are eating chicken and fish as well.You will not regret doing business with Janelle.

I've waited to do this review to allow time to eat some of the beef in order to provide an all around perspective.First, Janelle Moses is wonderful to work with. She's available, open and an honest communicator. She knows everything about her cows and is happy to share every detail about the life cycle along with food preparation. The order process is simple and Janelle will touch base with you all the way. You'll need to pay a deposit at time of order.Second, the butcher is wonderful too. They'll call you to get your cutting and wrapping instructions. When you pick up, your order is ready and accurate, complete with labels on all the packages to facilitate putting it away. This is where you will meet Janelle to pay your order in full at the time you pickup your order.Third, the beef is fantastic! It's extremely lean and flavorful. If you care about where your beef comes from, how it's raised and harvested, you can't go wrong with Holy Cow! Farms.

Holy Cow is the place to purchase beef if you are looking for the highest quality beef available. We have been buying from Janelle for several years and whether quarter, half, or whole, the cow has been superb. When we have guests for dinner, they always make remarks about how good the meat is. Going to a steak restaurant is a disappointment because the meat is never as good as what Janelle produces.

My family and I made our first purchase of a quarter beef two weeks ago and I have to say what a wonderful experience. Janelle and Roy made the experience special and went over and beyond to explain her process and beliefs in detail on how she takes care of her animals. Janelle made sure to take the time to invite us out to see what i was investing my money into. I was very impressed with the couple and cleanness of the farm shows how much they care about their products .She made the buying process easy and explained the humane treatment of her animals along with the fact she uses local butchers to not contaminate the meat. All this was an amazing experience but when we arrived at home and made our first meals thats when I realized how delicious the meat really was. I will be a returning customer in the future I recommend others take in this experience themselves. Thank you Holy Cow.

We just picked up our first 120 pounds of pork and an additional 20 pounds of ground grass fed beef. This follows on our purchase of a half a beef in April 2018 (we will be finishing up a roast and some steaks, and the beef held up well in the freezer). We fully understood the importance of putting a deposit down to reserve the limited beef and now, hog, for future purchase from this custom, small business, solely operated by Janelle. She always communicates openly, provides recommendations on getting the best results from the custom butcher's at CJ's meat who call you directly. She shared recipe ideas with my wife. We have prepared many meals for our friends and family with meat from Holy Cow. Thank you Janelle for your hard work, for the humane care of your animals, and for providing such tasty and healthy meat at a consistent, reasonable price.
