Westport Light State Park is a popular and versatile destination offering a variety of outdoor activities and scenic views. Visitors can enjoy walking along the trail system that connects different parts of the park, with opportunities to see the top of the lighthouse, memorial benches, and viewpoints overlooking the Sound. The park features wide trails and several beach paths suitable for dog walking, making it a pet-friendly spot with picnic tables, BBQ stands, and pet waste stations. The beaches are spacious, providing plenty of room for relaxation and pet play. Restrooms with cold water and electric hand dryers are available near the parking areas. A highlight of the park is the Gray's Harbor Lighthouse, which is the tallest lighthouse in Washington. The lighthouse costs $5 to visit, but it is only open on weekends, and only a limited number of visitors are allowed inside at a time. Visitors can also learn about local history through literature along the trail, especially during the summer when the library sets up interactive stories. Overall, Westport Light State Park is a favorite spot for many, offering scenic walks, beach access, and a chance to enjoy nature with family and pets. Visitors are encouraged to bring water and be mindful of the park’s rules to ensure a pleasant experience for all.

Absolutely love this place! Such a great place to relax and watch the surf and surfers. It can get windy so if you like flying kites it's great! We got some donuts and came down here with a beach blanket. The park is well maintained which is nice to see.

So cool if you're up for the climb. 188 steps to the top. The guy there knows everything interesting about lighthouses.
