“An RV resort that’s close to all the Winthrop area attractions, but still a bit off the beaten path - in a good way.

We’ve been to Winthrop a few times before, and this year decided to try Silverline. It’s about a 5–7 minute drive from downtown, and feels very different - quieter, more peaceful, and a nice break from the fun but noisy scene in town.

The park sits right on the lake, with lake access, a fishing pier, playground, mini-golf, and boat/jet ski rentals. Everything was clean and well maintained, and there are family-friendly activities that make it easy to spend a whole day without leaving.

RV sites are tight, understandably so - they’re trying to fit as many rigs as possible. It’s generally fine, but if you plan to leave very early and need to stay connected to your trailer overnight, it might be a little tricky for other people to maneuver around you.

We had a great conversation with the staff - everyone was friendly and helpful. There’s definitely a missed opportunity here though: this place is so close to the Winthrop Rhythm & Blues Festival, it would make perfect sense to offer a shuttle to and from downtown. Something like a small trolley could be great for both the park and local businesses (think Gatlinburg-style).

It gets packed in the summer, especially with folks coming in from Seattle, but it never felt overwhelming. We’ll likely stay here again next time we’re in the area.”

“Had an amazing time at the ranch..the tour guide was really sweet and the horses were really well trained..we took the one hour tour and enjoyed every bit..highly recommend.”
