An RV resort that’s close to all the Winthrop area attractions, but still a bit off the beaten path - in a good way.
We’ve been to Winthrop a few times before, and this year decided to try Silverline. It’s about a 5–7 minute drive from downtown, and feels very different - quieter, more peaceful, and a nice break from the fun but noisy scene in town.
The park sits right on the lake, with lake access, a fishing pier, playground, mini-golf, and boat/jet ski rentals. Everything was clean and well maintained, and there are family-friendly activities that make it easy to spend a whole day without leaving.
RV sites are tight, understandably so - they’re trying to fit as many rigs as possible. It’s generally fine, but if you plan to leave very early and need to stay connected to your trailer overnight, it might be a little tricky for other people to maneuver around you.
We had a great conversation with the staff - everyone was friendly and helpful. There’s definitely a missed opportunity here though: this place is so close to the Winthrop Rhythm & Blues Festival, it would make perfect sense to offer a shuttle to and from downtown. Something like a small trolley could be great for both the park and local businesses (think Gatlinburg-style).
It gets packed in the summer, especially with folks coming in from Seattle, but it never felt overwhelming. We’ll likely stay here again next time we’re in the area.

Being on the lake is the best part of this RV camp. They don’t keep up the grounds, you have to pay for every little thing That’s if the office is open, and you have to pay for showers that don’t work half of the time! Bathrooms are dirty, clogged toilet, and two sinks facet don’t work. For the price of hookups, I would so not recommend this place! I’m on my fifth day and I’ve had it!

First year staying here, but will definitely be back!! Great camp hosts, great services, the little store has all you need if you forget anything. The rentals are cheap, and good quality. And the turkeys just made our day! 🦃🦃

This is definitely a wonderful campground for families, the location on the water is ideal place for all day fun, it was a joy to hear the children’s laughter. The tenting area and lower RV sites were awesome and well maintained but we felt the upper level RV sites were neglected. They were small, not well kept up and not as much greenery as shown on the website or map. The camp hosts were welcoming and friendly and the store was well stocked but the WiFi was almost non existent unless you walked around the park seeking the connection or sat on a chair near the store, we couldn’t even make a call or receive one on our cell phones so in that regards I only gave them 3 stars.

I have say it was a beautiful and clean place. However we only stayed 1 night out of our 4.The camp spot #11 had no room .The sites are way to crammed in.Was very disappointed, went up the road to the state park and lucky to get an open site.If you stay here don't stay in #11 or that row.

Third year in a row and definitely our favorite camp site. Love enjoying the lake and being able to escape the heat to a shaded campsite. Very friendly staff and clean property.

We came to Silverline with a rented RV, the first time RV camping- and really camping in general. We are a family of six, two adults, three kids and one toddler.
The staff is so friendly and helpful, and the amenities are excellent. We brought our jet ski, which was really fun, and we spent our days jet skiing, playing at the super cute playground, jumping into the lake, and playing on the little beach.
We spent our evenings by the campfire, walking down to the lake and seen the full moon, I’m running around. Lots of kids on bikes, lots of fun, family activities.
They even have all you can eat pancake breakfast on the weekends, although we did not participate because we had brought a ton of food.
All of the other campers were really friendly, and there were tons of families. The staff went out of our way to help us quite a few times, which we really appreciated. Bob and Sheila were so awesome.
We will definitely come back here, and in fact, we came across many families who have been coming here year after year.

Never will go to this park ever again! There was a lightening strike that started a fire halfway across the lake up on the hill. Which was very close to the campground, about ½ mile away and it was 600 acres on fire. Two helicopters six jets, 13 firefighters marching up the hill. They worked on the fire for six hours that we could see, but more was behind the scene. Never once did staff or owner let us, or campers know what danger we were in. Instead the owner and a worker were pruning the weeping willow by the boat launch because of low branches.By the way had any state inspecter stopped by they would have been Fined for having a ladder in the bucket of a tractor standing on it with a chainsaw triming.
Finally people were finding out through another guest that was able to get any information that the road was closed to any campers coming in only leaving allowed on the road to Pearrygin. No cell service. We found out later that Pearrygin State Park evacuated all their campers and the park is still closed. However Silverline is still open. Wow!! We have heard these new owners do not care about their guest. This proves it. Don't stay at this park if possible.
Update from my post. They're response back was a lie.
