Rustic elegance. Excellent dining. Incredible vistas from the hot tub. Pool was closed for the season, which was ok as trails are open for hiking, bicycle riding and horseback rides.

What we loved about our stay at SML. Views, peace and quiet, outdoor hot tub, hiking the property, watching the horses, the lodge is beautiful, cocktails were great, enjoyed a fabulous dinner and service, rooms were very comfortable with a view of snow capped mountains, staff was attentive and personable, Wintrup was quaint with interesting history, the drive from the west side was gorgeous. What we didn’t like. Having to leave!

We had a great stay here. The rooms are well kept, staff is polite. The spa let’s you customize your service. The food is great in the dining room but a tad pricier. There are good restaurant options available if you drive 15min to downtown the mountain to the Main Street Winthrop or Twisp!

Incredible place to stay!!! We stayed in Robinson’s room and the mountains view was amazing from our balcony, room and even jacuzzi! 15min from downtown Winthrop. Great welcoming staff, good food! We are definitely coming back!Food & drinks: We tried their brunch menu. Lamb shakshuka and stakes were delicious!

Room and service was amazing... the view was spectacularThe gift shop was a robbery (a belt was $80)Now the food on the other handNow that's a different story...There's literally 5 items on the list for food. Our bill for food was $97 for mediocre food....The burger was very bland.I got a "ginger lemon drop" it was great if you liked drinking gasoline with a hint of ginger....NOW LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT DESSERTwe got a chocolate slice cake for $15... guys we've had better cake at Walmart for $5... this cake was dry. And bland.... and should be used as dog food...Overall we would stay again because the rooms were great....But i recommend not eating at this place or eating at McDonald's before hand...

It was okay.Location was excellent, main building was beautiful. Cute shops inside, nice amenities like hot tub, pool and games. Had EV charging which we used overnight. Room itself was okay, bed was comfy, view was great, we had a private fireplace. But the front door knob broke, no TV in the rooms, seating in room was very uncomfortable, and fan in bathroom was very weak, the lights were loud. Restaurant on site was also beautiful, incredible view, but food was a miss. Came out on the colder side, was way over priced, and not very good.

Sun Mountain Lodge is resting on its laurels. It's clear the new ownership hasn't invested anything in upkeep. The pathways between the rooms and the main lodge are a safety hazard in the winter and were covered in ice. The lights along the path are dilapidated. There seems to be an in-room music system that was installed in the 70s that no longer works. The sconces next to the beds exude a loud whining noise and a constant flicker while in use. You'd think for $450 a night everything would be tip top. That said, the views are excellent and the restaurant was pretty good for dinner.

Sarah in the bar is amazing! All the help has been kind and welcoming! Bret in the ski shop was so helpful and positive...knowledgeable. Great grooming of the trails. We are here to play and snowshoe. Met great people and had a great time! Having dinner in the lodge tonight before we leave tomorrow.

Do not recommend this hotel to anyone, because of their horrible and completely unfriendly customer service, plus inflexible policies.

Customer service of this place is atrocious and this hotel tries to scam you out of your money,if you decide to cancel your reservation. Stay away from them!

Sun Mountain Lodge is a beautiful facility in a spectacular location. My daughter and I spent a long weekend there to go cross country skiing. The trails were well groomed. We had a terrific time. The people at the lodge were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed delicious meals and even better massages as well as the outdoor hot tub. We hope to go back again!

The service this hotel provides is completely inadequate for the prices they are charging. When you call you get someone who barely speaks any english, so it is extremely hard to explain what you need or ask for any information. Then, they are unwilling to help with any change of dates, any cancellation, they are being just plain rude in their writing responses. It is amazing how a service can sustain itself with this type of unfriendly customer service and inflexible policies. Do not recommend to deal with them.

Really friendly from the moment you walk in the door. The lobby is definitely mountain lodge welcoming. They had a small art gallery to explore, a game room for the kids and big kids like me. The views from the bar and grill area were very picturesque. Food was good. I recommend this lodge up on the mountain top. So much more to explore here not mentioned.
