I just started attending Root 2 Rose after moving to the area. WOW. I’m blown away by the balance of depth and levity in the classes and the calm, grounding energy of each teacher. I’ve felt seen, empowered, and free in each class, no matter the form of yoga I’m practicing that day. Anyone looking for a studio with a blend of yoga styles including Yin (my favorite!) may want to give Root 2 Rise a try! I look forward to many days spent in practice at Root 2 Rise. :)

This studio is a great space and the teachers are welcoming and knowledgeable. The temperature is perfect, warm, but not too hot. At first, I thought I'd found the perfect studio and have been attending classes here for about 6 months. The only issue is, since I started taking classes regularly, classes keep disappearing from the schedule, though of course the cost of membership is the same. They used to have 3 classes M-F: at 9:30am, 5:00pm, and 6:30pm. Fridays had a 9:30 and 5:00 class. One by one, evening classes disappeared from the schedule, first after a teacher left, I thought it was because they were looking for a new teacher, but months later, those classes still haven't been added bask and now the 5pm classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday are gone. It's a shame because the classes they do have are great!! But with so few options, it's hard to justify the cost of the membership. If 9:30 and 6:30 are always a good time for you to take classes, it might be a good fit. I like to occasionally be home in time to have dinner with my family, and am really missing the 5pm option so I'll likely be looking for a studio that has more options if they don't brink back some of their 5pm classes.

As a beginner yoga student who has only done yoga through youtube and has finally decided to do yoga in a group setting, I am very appreciative of the other yoga teachers who work here and are incredibly gentle and kind with giving instruction to all levels of participants in the studio at any given time from advanced to intermediate and beginner, each of the poses are always given alternatives if needed and if you need further guidance from the yoga teachers, you can always quietly ask and they are incredibly attentive to each individual persons needs. Their is a wide array of people young to older, everyone is welcomed and greeted with a great deal of compassion and empathy. I also appreciate that, as a disabled combat veteran, all military members and other veterans are welcomed here. That coupled with the fact that the yoga teachers remember your names and always greet you when you enter and leave, shows that they really care about what their doing. A+++++

Great studio. Wonderful teachers. Lots of classes suitable for beginners and instructors are helpful with modifications for injuries for just getting started. The hot classes are not too hot which I really appreciate.

Love love love this yoga studio. I don't go very often (broke yogis raise your hands!) but I drive from Seattle when I attend. I prefer the non-heated classes, especially yin with Nicky. She is lovely, very welcoming and quite helpful during classes. She would also be perfect for the sleeepcasts on Headspace - not to be creepy, but I'd love to have her woo me to sleep every day. Prices are fair, studio is clean and every person I've met, both instructors and students, are kind and down-to-earth. Which in the Seattle area, is difficult to find.

Great little studio in Woodinville with a good mix of classes and teachers. There is one room and the temperature is always just hot enough so you don't wanna pass out in vinyasa and so you aren't shivering in yin. The changing rooms are fine and there's one restroom. No shower, but that was never a problem for me. The folks who attend the classes are fairly respectful in terms of sound and space and seemed to have good energy (subjective, but I'll note it anyway since some places just have a gross vibe). Teachers were all very helpful and gave good cues, I just wish they would do more corrections. The reason for the one star off - there weren't enough class times for my schedule. Nothing early in the morning and only a few later in the evening that I could get to after work. I would also recommend they find a way to block the overhead light coming through the hallway window. It can be distracting in shavasana or during yin if you're in the back row and right under it.

The warm and quiet drew me in. The physicality kept me coming back. The breathe, life - found me here. Equanimity; they say that word a lot, look it up, it is REAL! Now, these Root 2 Rise floors under my feet are my very physical reminder: rooted, safe, strong, lovely, whole - from where I launch and remember, the practice never ends.

I really enjoy yoga at this studio. Their hatha has a good combination of relaxing stretching poses and challenging ones. I do wish often that their shivasana was treated more like a meditation and we could be allowed to do at least 5 minutes of solid silence before the teacher ends the class but if you ask the teacher that you'd like to have that, they often oblige and make time for that. Shout out to Bethany for being so awesome for that! Otherwise people seem to be in a hurry to get out of the class and then start chatting right outside the door as you're trying to stay still for a few more moments. Food for thought :)

I did a free month at this studio. I found the owner to be super friendly and welcoming. I also thought the teachers were very good. Parking is easy, and the price seems spot on for the nice variety of classes offered at different time. I wanted to love it. But overall the vibe just didnt work for me. I didn't enjoy the layout of the room. It was hard to see the teacher. Also, I don't love mirrors for a yoga studio. I prefer to focus on my own space, mind body connection, rather than get distracted by the mirrors. But that is just me. I think this is a great studio for the practitioner who wants a good workout with knowledgable teachers. But if you want a more traditional yoga vibe, not the perfect fit.

Easily the best yoga classes I've taken. Yes, you will get a "workout," but the atmosphere here really encourages the mindfulness and awareness aspects of the practice, which is what I was looking for. I love that the lights are dimmed, and I feel less self-conscious and more inclined to tune in and do the mental work than I have in other classes. I feel so lucky to live close to this place.

The absolute best yoga studio. I've been going for a year and haven't found a class I didn't enjoy. Thankful for this escape every time!
