If we had Michelin ratings in Seattle, this place would have stars. The care taken in preparing the food -- from sourcing the ingredients (sometimes from their own farm) to crafting the menu to pairing the wine and accompaniments -- is only matched by the service and care of the staff. Worth every penny.

The best service and such a fun experience! The food can be a bit on the "eccentric" side because they make items from what is growing locally during the season you are dining, but in my opinion that's what makes the experience so exciting and special! It's pricey but worth the splurge! I'll definitely be back!

The most amazing culinary experience of my life, bar none. The curated menu, wine/beer/drink pairings, service, and general experience more than justify the price. An experience at the Herbfarm should be a required pilgrimage for culinary enthusiasts.

My bad review is rooted in the initial experience and not reflective of the food. At the beginning of the meal you are given a tour of the gardens and animals they house. We were a group of 20 or so following the owner of the herb farm around and listening to her interests. A hearing impaired person with an evident hearing aid asked a question(someone who also paid $500 for their seat) and the woman leading the tour was really condescending and rude to this person. It was clear that customers are not valued by belittling the hearing impaired. It was the kind of moment where I kick myself for not speaking up and it's all I remember of my experience at this miserable establishment. $1000 for regret. I can afford this restaurant, but I promise you I will not give it another dime for it's ableist attitudes.

This is a High end Restaurant, definitely an experience. It’s very interesting before the meal to talk to the Wine steward who explains the pairing of the wines with each course. Than the Chef explains everything they will be using to cook each course of the meal. They only serve dinner on the weekends & the chefs have a different menu every few weeks depending what is in season because they use local farming & they have their own farm on premise. The Food is delicious & the service is great, everyone is very kind, knowledgeable & courteous. They go out of their way to make you feel extra special & have memorable experience.

The communal table was a wonderful experience. Lots of great conversations. Staff and kitchen were very accommodating, given multiple allergy restrictions. I couldn't have asked for more.

The WORST food I have EVER tried! I don't know where these good reviews are coming from...I went in the spring time and this is by far the worst 9 course restaurant in the entire state. The caviar was old and had a coppery taste. I have had fresh caviar from Indian reservations, so I know exactly what it is supposed to taste like, and this just was not it. None of the dishes were even good except for the veloute. The desserts were creative, but weird and not good. The tea was beyond undrinkable. You guys need to re-evaluate your chefs and menu. This is hands down the worst restaurant I have been to in my life.

Had a great time here. It’s not cheap but there is also nothing really like it. Upon arriving they asked for our last name and without a computer or notes, multiple members of the staff knew it was our anniversary, so they clearly study up and prepare greatly for each dinner. We were seated at a European style table, which is just a large communal table, and it was very enjoyable getting to chat with the other diners. The food was amazing and very well done. There were many ingredients that I am sure I had for the first time, especially in the combinations they served… it was the last day of the late summer menu and I am glad we got to enjoy it. For a special anniversary or just to at least try it once, I highly recommend this restaurant!

My brother came up to visit his grandnieces and we went up to Seattle to join the family reunion. He heard about this place and invited the grown-ups to dinner. He is the wine connesuer (how do you spell that?) of the family as well as the gourmet and this was a free meal, so the wife and I were in with both feet. The restaurant is an unobtrusive place that shares the parking lot with a hotel. There are about 20 tables in the place and there is only one seating. The vibe is definitely French Laundry if you have visited this place in Yountville, CA. Come to think of it, we were there with my brother, too. Back to the Herbfarm. Before the food, the whole team came to be introduced by the boss. He then described the various courses of the meal. Each course was very good but, whenever I go to such high-falutin' places, I always wonder how am I going to get full on such small portions. Once again, I learned how that is done. Each course is served at the right time with enough waitstaff to serve the whole table at once. Although small, each course built upon the previous ones to end up leaving me full. While all the courses were good, the standout in my opinion was the sweet corn soup. There was some sort of pureed crab in the bottom of the cup but it was barely discernable (says a guy who dislikes any seafood if it isn't clam chowder - either variety). I could have stopped the meal there and cleaned the pot. However there were more courses to come. All in all, we all enjoyed the meal, the service and the whole package. I do not think you should bring the kids-the wine pairings might not be to their liking-but the adults will be fine.I cannot comment on the price, the brother picked up the tab. But it wasn't cheap. Save it for that big promotion or the kid's 21st.Enjoy!

We loved our experience here so much!! Definitely on the pricey side, so it is best saved for a special occasion.Food...amazingDrink pairings...interesting (in a good way)Atmosphere and staff are incredible.I recommend having some fun and sitting at a communal table. The conversation flows smoothly, even for this introvert, once the meal begins and drinks start flowing.Dietary restrictions: They were extremely attentive to dietary restrictions and modified dishes with allergens well

People with Celiac Disease BEWARE! We recently dined at The Herb Farm for the 100 Mile Menu. I am a Celiac with severe allergies to gluten. The restaurant claims that they can accommodate this dietary restriction without issue. However, halfway through our dinner, I had clearly been contaminated and got sick. Unfortunately, I was unable to do more than taste the rest of the remaining courses. I would expect better from a restaurant of this caliber.Additionally, nobody in our party was very impressed by the food. We have dined at The Herb Farm several years ago, and the food was much more impressive. I feel like the food may be hit and miss based on the menu.As always, the service was exceptional! They almost anticipate what you need. Someone even brought me a fan when they saw that I was hot after being contaminated. Very considerate.I will probably not be returning due to the gluten contamination.Dietary restrictions: Please be careful of cross contamination with allergies.

To answer the main question I had visiting for the first time: yes, it is totally worth it. Every course and drink pairing was stellar; I could probably pick a few favorites, but everything was great. Our servers were not just warm and accommodating but also funny. My wife and I would highly recommend a communal table, We had unquestionably interesting conversation.
