We took our dogs here for ten years and used to love Snowood. Dr. Panjetti in particular was just incredible - wonderfully knowledgeable and kind, even when our dog had to be put down. The front office staff was always accommodating and helpful. In the last year and a half though, all of the people we were used to seeing have moved on, and we've been super unimpressed by the new team. It takes forever to get an appointment which I think is par for the course in the industry as there are a lot of staff shortages. More concerning, though, is that the advice we've gotten from the care team is questionable at best. We had three separate experiences where we felt the advice was "off" so we sought a second opinion. In all three cases, it didn't feel like a difference of opinion but more out-of-date or bad info from Snowood. Based on the new medical staff, we just don't have confidence in the care our dog is receiving and have gone elsewhere. It's a real bummer after a decade of great service here.

(EDITED on 8.14.23 due to my review not getting posted for the public to see. The only reason I can see is that I had mentioned the name of a different animal hospital. I have taken the name of that animal hospital out so this should be seen by the public now?)I rarely feel the desire to write a negative review but I thought it important to give others fair warning. I had taken my dog to this place in the past a few times and had fairly good experiences as the staff was always really kind. This changed last week when I needed my dog to be checked out for a wound on the top of his front left paw. I was told they didn't have an official appointment available but that I could bring him in at 9am and he could be seen at some point that day. When I got there I was given an extremely high estimated cost. Low range was just over 1k and the upper range was around $2300. I was told they would charge $350 just to shave and clean the area around the wound (absurd considering it would have taken them less than 10 minutes to do) and $79 per hour to leave him in a kennel until he would be seen around 2pm. I kindly asked if they could at least wave the $79 an hour fee to keep him in the kennel until 2pm and was told they couldn't. I abruptly left feeling extremely disappointed. Fast forward a few days, I brought him to a different animal hospital in Shoreline where I was charged a total of $350 for them to give him an exam, shave and clean the wound, extract the foxtail that was lodged in his foot, and receive antibiotics. Unfortunately VCA has lost any future business from me and I would not recommend anyone take their pet there unless they have money to waste.

BEWAR- they do not listen and do whatever they want with your pet. My dog gets very sick on car rides I came in with dog throw up all over me, told them mulitple times NO to treats. They took him back and he comes back chewing something, get in the car and not only did 1 or two half eaten treats get thrown up but over 10!!!! this place is the worst and if you want a vet that will listen to you then go elsewhere. This was their second chance, their ego is more important that pet care. I will never take my dog here again.

I live in Tacoma and found myself in a frustrating search for a vet who could see two foster kittens in my care. As the kittens are from a feral colony they came in with multiple infectious problems that needed prompt attention, plus I was eager to begin their vaccines. I made dozens of calls and nobody could help us until late December to January (it’s November now). Finally I struck gold at VCA Sno-Wood, an appointment available within a couple days. It was a long drive from Tacoma to Woodinville but honestly, if it wasn’t for that, I would switch my resident animals all over to this hospital. The cheerful, detail oriented, clearly explained service plus relatively affordable exams and services for this region, set them apart from many other experiences I’ve had in my decade or so of pet ownership. I feel like they take these kittens’ health and comfort as seriously as I do, which is how you want to feel walking out of your vet’s office.

I went with my dog Prince to a vet appointment (wellness and VX update) and the appointment was extremely fantastic. Dr. Skylar (might be spelled wrong) was respectful and patient with Prince. Honestly I never felt so welcomed until I came to this place. All my questions were answered. Prince is an aggressive and protective dog so when it comes to appointments like these he gets anxious. The doctor and vet assistants said that Prince was not as aggressive as previous records from Redwood VCA said Prince was. I would definitely come back to see these people. My trust and knowledge rely on them when it comes to Prince. Thank you so much!

My old dog had an appointment for grooming and when we showed up. The new groomer told me that his vaccine is not up to date. He needs his rabies shot. So who ever made the appointment didn’t check, that was three weeks ago prior to his appointment. It was absolutely the worst experience I ever had. Usually, I leave my dog and pick him up later after my work. My old dog had to stay in the car while I had to work. I had to constantly check on him and so on.I hope the office manger educate their staff. I don’t want anyone to go through what I had to that day.

I started coming to this VCA location about 5 or 6 years ago with my rabbit and my dog and loved loved loved them!! When I moved about 3 years ago I switched to a vet that was closer. I didn't love that vet so tried another, and another and so on until I had seen every vet (that would take new patients) in between myself and VCA sno-wood. None matched the level of care, knowledge, professionalism, or sheer awesomeness of VCA! Today I was having an issue getting my dogs prescription refilled at his current vet and called VCA just to ask them a question which my current vet couldn't answer, not only did they know the answer they were able to help me out faster and with less hassle on my end. I immediately knew I would now be driving an hour each way for all vet appointments because VCA sno-wood is truly the best!!!!!!

Unfortunately, while the vet was good with our dog in person the office seems unorganized and incompetent. On multiple occasions, they gave us incorrect information, they neglected to follow-up after appointments, they closed randomly on Friday's leaving us without medication for a weekend, and they are booking appointments over three weeks out.... It seemed that I often had to be the only advocate for our dog instead of working together to provide the best care. (Apparently they didn't use to be like this. I think that they continue to take on new patients while being maxed out and are completely overwhelmed.) Our worst experience yet was when trying to fill a prescription:1.) They neglected to list the total count on the prescription, so Walgreens said that they needed to call them back to obtain this information. Fair enough, mistakes happen.2.) Over 24 hours later, we had to follow-up with our vet and asked if they had called Walgreens back. (Walgreens left me a voicemail saying that he was still waiting on their call).3.) They "lost the piece of paper" with Waglreens phone number on it. They had to call us back requesting which Walgreens pharmacy we were using.4.) They advised the pharmacy that they needed 15-30ml's of Selegiline. Walgreens only carries 5ml's. VCA Sno-Wood told Walgreens that we would not be using them to fill the prescription.5.) VCA Sno-Wood did not call us back to tell us we needed to look for another pharmacy that carries a larger dosage.6.) 15 & 30ml's DOES NOT EXIST. Only after calling Bartell's, did I find out that I was requesting a dosage that does not exist.7.) The VCA Sno-Wood receptionist/front desk seemed surprised when I informed them of this information and tried to say that maybe there was a dosage shortage to cover up their major error. They couldn't admit fault and I wasted multiple hours of my time trying to fill our aging dogs prescription. We were relying on them to be the experts as our veterinarian. We will be using a new veterinarian office for our next rescue dog later this month.

Unbelievably poor experience with this team ordering medication for our pet. We ended up leaving the clinic as a result. The office staff would not return calls or follow up on any request. I reached out several weeks prior to needing the medication and our pet was still delayed over three weeks past when they needed it. We left the clinic over a month ago and they just placed an unauthorized order for the same medication after we stated we were leaving their clinic.

The operations is poorly beyond imagination. The earliest appointment for a sick animal is not available for three weeks manager told me. She said it is best they can do with their schedules. My other animal is for months on the wait list for getting fixed. By this time, she is fully grown up cat, which makes operation much risked. If they are over-capacity, they should not be taking any new clients. They do not care about animals. I truly felt that way. They only care about money. Very disappointed.

This was my vet for 7 years for my mini dachshund, during the pandemic my doxie had teeth issues so I had to go elsewhere. Unfortunately during this time he was tested for liver disease and Cushing's, meanwhile I bought everything I could to heal my baby boy, but nothing was working. Last week he got so sick and weak I began a search for a vet to euthanize my little best of 14 years, and nobody could help me, too busy they all week too busy, this was a Tuesday I began my request. Then I called another in Woodinville. Same thing Too Busy this week. I finally found the the next day Critter paws in Totem Lk Kirkland who squeezed me immediately when called in the morning I was so distraught and blessed by this new vet. Don't use SnoWood if you want compassion!!!
