Highly recommend this auto shop. They took on a project that nobody else would attempt. They went above and beyond. We were given an estimate and was told it would take around 2 days. It ended up being same day pickup, they stayed later after work and got it done. So thankful for you guys. Thank you again!

They are friendly and knowledgeable. When I call they try to get me in as soon as possible. They also work with my schedule. Their fees aren't as crazy as some others.

Addendum to Dirk N.'s previous review: Having taken the 1988 Chevy camper van to a competent and honest shop upon return to interior Alaska, the valve cover gaskets Bonnie and Clyde's billed 2 times to replace are still leaking. Poor work? Or work billed for and not performed? The transmission mount, while bolted down, could be raised nearly 2 inches with a pry bar as it was damaged - likely due to the poorly-installed U-joints - leading to the vibration. The driveline Was checked for true - an was not. This vibration resulting from the driveline and poorly installed u-joints likely caused the failure of the transmission mount and excess wear on the cone bushing and cone seal. All three were replaced in Fairbanks. The thermostat and housing appeared to have been replaced without a gasket, using silicone sealant only. And apparently the coolant was refilled without giving sufficient time to cure; thus, it was leaking as well. The vehicle's ignition battery had to be replaced in Whitehorse due to its insufficient cranking power. This was a result of age and condition - which was in their notes - it was producing only 10.4 volts during ignition. They should have replaced it. After only 1,000 miles, the rear right tire was re-balanced, requiring a 3/4 ounce wheel weight. At best, the service was sloppy. The heater/defroster fan motor should have been replaced in Yakima, but was replaced in Fairbanks. The majority of the work performed ranged from insufficient to poor to sloppy. Due to these conditions and those referenced in Dirk N's previous two reviews, we will be sending a letter the to the state of Washington Attorney General's office for consumer fraud, as well as the Better Business Bureau. At this time, I wouldn't take my lawn mower to this shop. If they were a reputable business, they would have made some sort of gesture of concern , and perhaps offered some kind of and compensation for what became necessary transport rather than an option and what should've been unnecessary repairs.

I brought in a 1992 Miata 1.6L head that had warped after overheating due to a coolant leak. One of their technicians helped me at the counter. I asked to have the head cleaned, and resurfaced, and at his recommendation, I also agreed to have it pressure tested. The job was done a day in advance of their estimate, for less money, and the finish on the machining was impeccable. I also accidentally left a dowel in the head, and he was nice enough to save it and leave it taped to the head after the work was done. I'm impressed with the quality of their work, and their service. The car is running great, and I won't hesitate to use them again.

Addendum to 1st review. 3 u-joints charged to my m-i-l in the repairs. The driveline takes 2 u-joints; . Fraud or error? Earlier bill shows B&C installed valve cover gasket ~2 months before they did the same job again, with scant new mileage. The need was identified by White Pass Garage, and B & C's charged a second time for the repair, assuming it was done either time.. not sure. Still a pool of oil to the inside of the driver's side valve cover. Either not cleaned up or still leaking. First r&r of valve cover cost my m-i-l over $200 for labor, and the second time, 2 months or so later, with few additional miles on the van, they charged another $300+ for labor. Same with fixing the leaking AC o-rings from the earlier visit. They charged her again to fix their first poor install, and noted it didn't include a recharge. Thus the heat from AC on the way north was poor. Heat on defrost was barely sufficient at +6 degrees f. exterior temperature while rolling on the highway with defrost on hot. Thermostat will be pulled and inspected. If not a 195 f. t-stat as stated it was (which I'm skeptical of now), that'll be another area of formal address. Shop failed to assess the function of a freeze-plug heater, though they IDed it. "We didn't trace the cord, and we don't know if it works." Why? Pre-trip inspection to the sub-arctic, ~3,000 miles, and they didn't think it was helpful? (*Upon pick-up of the van, the younger 'mechanic' found the -checked- cord for the freeze-plug heater coiled on top of ac-related box on firewall in plain view. So how much time was actually spent under this thing?. Defroster/heat fan blower motor making worn bearing sounds @ start-up at +55 f. in Yakima. Headed north with a heater fan motor about to die? Worse now, too. They had to have heard this. The vacuum lines were to be checked, with hardened or questionable lines replaced. They spliced into existing hardened lines, and replaced the lines they could easily reach. Left hardened lines, etc, in. Upper heater hose from radiator to firewall is aged, scale on the outside/OLD and not solid/safe. Not replaced. 12" of standard heater hose and 2 new clamps would've been a cheap job to make it safe; maybe 15" ? Not sure lower radiator hose was changed, though it was supposed to be. Looks swollen. Will inspect upon removal when we check the t-stat.. Upper hose is new. Heat riser tube from exhaust manifold to the bottom of air intake housing is crumpled at the lower end and not hooked up. That way upon receipt of the van. Rear u-join installed using half-moon clamps at the pinion yoke, but no inner c-clips used, caused increasing vibration, led to firm decision to take the ferry as the (then still undiscovered) result of the cap on one leg of the u-joint walking out of the clamp, leaving a pin bearing broken, a seal blown out on the u-joint, and a generally unsafe condition. (*Cost hundreds of dollars in Whitehorse to remedy this, along with a new-to-me driveline, as the forward u-joint had outer c-clips forced into the exterior, rather than the proper innner c-clips and thus the ears of that yoke were bent. I have the c-clips from where they were forced into exterior positions; the c-clips were ground on a grinder, complete with blue-ish burnishing marks of unequal depth, 1 end thicker than the other = unequal pressure on bearing caps. Temper of metal c-clips after heating/grinding? House battery was dead upon pick-up, and we later found a blown fuse under the dash, leading to the solenoid that connects the charging system for the van to the system for the rv. Discovered & repaired bare wiring on a 12v hoop fitting at a relay on the firewall that was a hazzard. We fixed it in Canada. Erratic high-speed wobbling of the driveline due to improper install of the u-joint = increased play in the output bushing at the transmission cone, and posisbly the seal there, as well as the output bearing at the plate ahead of the cone. Wear traceable to poor install on the u-joints. T

My mother-in-law's taken her ***** camper van to B&C's numerous times, and I'd been concerned when another shop noted that the o-rings on an ac compressor were leaking that ******* had installed 6-8 weeks earlier. But when I spoke with B&C via telephone re. the **** they seemed to have proper and knowledgeable answers, and further research initially lessened my concerns.******* had the van for ~2 weeks, and were aware we were buying the **** *** was driving it up to ****** at what's the beginning of our winter. The shop installed a new oil pan the night before I was to depart for the ****** ferry or drive the **************************.When I arrived at B&C's, I received incorrect advice re. synthetic oils. The young man who had installed the oil pan stated synthetics were on par with the Slick 50 that ruined engines. (Big difference between the 2). I passed it off as just a young mechanic still learning.Still in the parking lot, while my m-i-l finished up, I looked in the engine compartment, and noted the coolant reservoir had about 1 ounce of fluid in it; below where the reservoir tube could pick it up to return into the radiator upon cooling. I'd asked the anti-freeze be mixed to 60:40 for our colder Interior ****** climate.,Same guy produced a gallon of anti-freeze concentrate. I asked him what the coolant had been mixed to. He said, \

By far the best sign 'slogan-ers' in Yakima. "Is your wife hot? We recharge A/C!" This sign got me in the door, their great service is what will have me coming back!

Dependable auto repair at a fair price. They just replaced the clutch in our truck. We will definitely be back next time we need work done.
