My sister was scheduled to rent a car from the airport. She didn't find out that they were closed until the day before. Very disappointed

Budget thinks it’s appropriate to add a 75% “deposit” to the cost of renting with no notification. I first heard of the extra cost when my credit card was in the reader and the price came up $400 instead of $250. The incredibly rude agent refused to get me a supervisor or any sort of written information about the extra cost. Absolutely unbelievable.

I'm so very disappointed and angry! We got to Billings and pulled off I-90 to stop for a couple of supplies and when we did something dropped. We immediately stopped and I called Budget. Unfortunately a police officer came and asked us to move as we were on a main road and blocking traffic. We very slowly moved it to the closest parking lot. The whole time I was waiting on hold. Just as we were getting it parked someone finally picked up. It took an hour for someone to come look, another hour for someone to tow us, another hour to be told it would be worked on sometime during the next day. No offer of a new truck as it was already well past 8pm. Now we get told after calling several times this morning that the damage was even worse and no part is available until Monday. A wonderful agent Misty, tried to get a new truck, but they continue to run into issues and in fact are refuses to pay to have a truck brought from 3 hours away.. This is insane. The damage is so bad that if we'd been on the highway we'd have most likely been severely injured or died. I can not in good conscience EVER recommend a company that does such a completely incompetent job of performing maintenance on their vehicles and end up in us incurring additional costs due to this incompetence. Whatever you do, run as fast as you can ANYWHERE ELSE! UPDATE: TheY've basically refused to help. They want us to submit receipts for everything once the truck is returned and have turned to remove all responsibility from themselves onto their service contractor. One star is beyond generous!

The most atrocious customer service. The staff documented incorrectly, yet didn't own up to their mistake (I had supportive evidence), so we were forced to literally pay the consequences. I called the customer service line and they made the situation worse by belittling me as a person. Then when asked to speak with a supervisor, was told one wasn't available and they'd respond within 48 hours. It's been four days without a return call. Don't trust them! Not worth the hassle!!!!

Jared is the best at customer service! He always takes care of me no matter the time of the day. Thanks Jared.

You can fill the gas tank completely, drive it two minutes back to their location, and they'll charge you for it. Don't expect any type of customer service. The manager is rude, won't offer help, and will tell you your word means nothing and they can do whatever they want. So even though Budget may seem less expensive than Uhaul, I'll go to Uhaul every time because at least they're honest and don't lie and steal from their customers.

If I could give Budget Car Rental 0 Stars and still leave a review I would.!!! Unfortunately, they will be getting one star today, despite the fact they did not earn it, so that I may tell the whole world about the Budget Car Rental nightmare I am presently living. My car rental was scheduled to be picked up at 11 a.m. and I had in hand my email and the confirmation number because I paid for it online. As most Travelers know, by no fault of your own you often get behind schedule. And as you know usually the scheduling is out of your control. I was running about an hour late. I was dropped off by a third party around 12:15 p.m. to nobody and a sign that read "on lunch be back at 2 p.m. ". The first thing I thought is I don't have that long to wait. I'm already late. And then I thought why didn't anybody call me to see if I was even coming for my car? Especially if they were going to be leaving the office for that long. And my next question is how long are there lunch hours for God's sake? Makes me want to apply for a job with Budget Car Rental. I then called the reservation line twice. This was necessary because the first time the lady hung up on me. I only wish I had gotten her name so that I could have included her in my complaint. After speaking to two reservationist they transferred me to customer service where I was informed that I would still have to pay full price for my rental and that I would have to wait for them to come back to pick up my rental. I was then informed that the only thing I could do about it was to file an official Complaint which I did graciously. It's now 1:45 p.m. and still there is nobody here but there are two more customers to rent cars waiting for them. It's now 1:58 and they have finally showed up to the office, after the longest lunch break in history, only to be rude and unaccommodating. I'm told that they need a major credit card to swipe and put $250 deposit on. Which is 150$ more than the customer service rep told me on the phone. I am told that my Comdata MasterCard which is the pay card that my employer puts all of my paychecks on cannot be used, however, that is the card that I used online. I tried to explain that I had my confirmation number and my e-mail that said nothing about a major credit card or $250 deposit. It clearly states that I needed $67.52 at the counter to rent my car. But as I mentioned before he was not helpful. Or nice. So now I'm stuck at an airport where it's freezing cold outside and I cannot rent a car with my Mastercard pay card that is a credit card with a master card logo. I DO NOT RECOMMENDED BUDGET CAR RENTAL TO ANYONE!!! Not even my worst enemy. Definitely go with Enterprise or U-Haul LOL

I am a frequent renter and have rented from all of the major companies numerous times. None has been a problem consistently except Budget regardless of the location. Yakima Airport was no exception. The customer service is terrible. The agent acted as if attending to customers was a burden. We had to wait 10 minutes at an empty counter before anyone even showed up. It was unclear if the location was even staffed. When he did arrive the agent barely acknowledged us wth an inaudible greeting. To which we replied that we had a reservation. He then mumbled "Avis or Budget?" My daughter reflexively handed him her ID and credit card as she stated that we had a reservation with Budget. He never asked any additional questions or made any further statements. He simply entered her information, reached under his coutner and retrieved keys, and began printing the contract. I had my ID out to give him and we told him that I needed to be on the contract as an additional driver. His response was to ask if we were with a company. We said that "No, we booked with Costco Travel and the reservation states that Costco members can add an additional driver who is on the Costco account at no charge. The agent said that they do not allow additional drivers unless it is a company. We showed him the reservation where it stated the additional driver policy. He said it does not matter what it says, they do not add family members as additional drivers. I called Costco and was transferred to Budget for assistance. They tried calling the location for clarification and could not get anyone to answer the phone for over 10 minutes before giving up. Budget's office told me to call back during their normal business hours the next day to resolve the matter since they were unable to reach anyone at the local office to resolve the problem. The additional driver is a necessity on this rental, so we had to cancel the reservation and were unable to find another as all other rental agencies were closed for the night or out of vehicles. We ended up stuck without a vehicle for the weekend and had to depend on Uber, when it was available (it is limited in our area).
