Unbelievably unacceptable! Came in with a generator that was shutting off due to a maintenance light. Was told it would be $45 to have them diagnose the issue and was reassured that I would be notified with thier findings and given costs of parts or repairs before any work was done. Fast forward to end of day when I called to get an update and was told the mechanic had gone home already and his notes said the generator was still shutting off with a suggestion to change out the 12v battery. I asked her if she could give me the cost of the battery and was told they would contact me in the morning with a cost for the replacement. Mid day I get a call saying the new battery had fixed the issue of low voltage and the generator was functional. Again, I asked what the battery was going to cost and I couldn't get an answer. I went down to pick up the generator and was hit with a total of over $500. When asked how much the battery cost for the total to be that high I was told the battery was $192. With that answer I said I would like my total without the battery because I know I could just get one cheaper and installing a battery is literally 2 bolts. I was told she couldn't do anything because it was already installed. Somehow the cost of a diagnosis went from 45 bucks to 2.5 hours of billed labor at 105/hr and parts being installed without approval. Not the treatment I expected to recieve from one small business to another. Unless you have an unlimited bankroll for sneaky costs and unapproved repairs i would not recommend having them "diagnose/troubleshoot" your machinery. Communication is key to keeping your customers informed and able to make choices and they failed miserably on that front. leaving me left with no option but to pay the bill and inform others so they don't recieve the same treatment.

Rick and the crew here are the best. I’ve been able to call and ask countless questions and he has always had great advice! As well as hard to find mower parts that he had there in no time flat and at an extremely reasonable price. Will always come here for anything small engine!

I brought my pressure washer here to be repaired and they had it for months, in fact, a couple of years later, they still have it and we never got it back. I had to call so many times because there was zero communication. If they couldn’t fix it, they should have said they couldn’t fix it. I spoke to the owner, who at the time seemed apologetic and promised it would get done, but it seems pretty clear that he was trying to save face. They gave me excuses for months and I finally just gave up on ever getting my pressure washer fixed and it seemed clear that they didn’t care about even giving it back. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. This is THE most unprofessional business I have ever worked with. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.
