Update 11/06/2024 once the money changed hands On a Car wasn’t interested in holding up their end of the deal. It took 5 trips and 2 weeks to get a promised (in writing) rear cover for the spare tire compartment. Still waiting on them to call me back about that or the key fob. They don’t answer their phone and don’t call you back. If you buy a vehicle from them be sure everything promised is taken care of before you take possession of the vehicle. Update 11/13/2024 talked to Sam at the south first street location. He took care of my concerns and I would recommend them. They are very friendly and did make the deal we agreed to.

Homer was a really good salesman. He sold me one of my cars and I still have that car till this day. Went with him again and I had a plan of what I wanted and he made it happen! After having multiple issues with this business due to the representatives. I am thankful to say the problems have been resolved after speaking directly with Hamza (manager/boss of the Fair Ave location). He was very nice and sincere regarding the back and forth issues with staff. He reassured things would be handled on his end and our next experience with Own A Car would be much better. After today’s dilemma we were given a free oil change and detailing service. We remain hopeful that something like this does not happen again and staff changes their manner with customers. If possible I recommend going through Hamza if you are in the market for a vehicle. He has excellent communication and exceptional interpersonal skills. I would definitely go back to make another deal with Hamza as he did not disappoint.
Horrible service. We have continued to have issues with Own A Car after purchasing two vehicles from them. Recently purchased a GMC Sierra from them that had a broken seatbelt. Before papers were signed we put in the contract about the broken seatbelt and have yet to receive any information back from them now over 2 weeks from purchase. I have called numerous times and spoke with numerous people but have been ignored and left with unanswered questions. It has become a safety issue with the vehicle as recently we went on a trip that our passenger was unable to buckle and had to remain unbuckled for 7 hours. Own A Car only cares about making a quick buck and after signing papers they don’t care about you, your car, or anything you have to say. Save the headache and hassle and go to a LEGIT dealership.
