My experience with these guys is great. Never had any problems with the cars they’ve sold us. All my family Members have bought cars here. And no complaints from anyone. So for the new buyers, check them out. Don’t listen to the negativity.

Great car buying experience, family owned business friendly staff, no going back and forth. Fair pricing from the get go. 3 months later car still running smooth no issues. Definitely recommend this dealership to friends and family.

Some guy from here in a White Lexus with an Auto Mart dealer plate backed right against me on a narrow street, scurried away, and flipped me off when I turned a different way. Is that the integrity you want in a salesman?

I just bought a 2012 Volkswagen EOS from here as a first time buyer. I was told the tires were brand new and after looking at the briefly, they seemed to line up with what they said. Wrong… on my way to work that was an hour and a half away at 4am in the pouring rain, my tire blew out. They told me the TPMS light just needed to be reset and that they’d do it for me, but I had to immediately leave town the day after buying it for my brothers funeral, and then one of my best friends funerals 2 days after. I just now got back into town and I have had this car for ONE WEEK TODAY, and have spent a little over 1.3k on repairs ALREADY. They told me everything was good on the car. I checked myself. The valve cover gasket was blown and they had just wiped off the oil on top so I wouldn’t notice. I know that because there’s obvious smear marks where the engine was wiped clean. Not to mention the alignment was horrible and I had to replace all 4 tires which none of them could be saved. There was also a razor blade stuck in the crevice where the back part and bottom part of my drivers seat connects! As well as one on the floor between the seat and center console!! And the stickers in the door were removed and there’s no vin stickers.

In May 2024, my husband and I drove down to Yakima to purchase a vehicle. We ended up at The Auto Mart and found a beautiful Acura TL. There were some cosmetic issues, but we were ok with it so long as the car was MECHANICALLY SOUND! Junior assured us that this was a great car, and we fell for that sweet, caring, “just want to make the business better” crap. We test drove the car, but the check engine light came on while we were driving it. We got back to the shop and told Junior we didn’t want it. He offered to put it in the shop, figure out the issue and then call us with an update. Later that night, they called and said it was a purge valve and they were going to replace it. We went back the next day; the light was off, and we were told they replaced the bad part. Hindsight is 20/20, but he kept telling us to take it on the freeway and feel how smooth it was while driving. He was correct, it drove like a dream. The times it DOES NOT drive like a dream is at lower speeds, specifically 40-45 mph. Looking back, it APPEARS like he wanted to keep us off the streets in town because that would have been noticed. I can’t say for sure, but optics are everything. We end up spending all day at the shop, getting the bill of sale ready and loan paperwork filled out. We put half the cost down as a down payment and then financed the rest. We started to drive home, and the engine light came back on a couple hours later, so we called Junior. He said the part they replaced would have to run through its “cycle” and not to be worried about the engine light being back on. The next week, we took it to our mechanic and guess what needed to be replaced? THE PURGE VALVE! Also, the car WOULD NOT HAVE PASSED EMMISSIONS, so you are welcome to anyone living in Washington that might have purchased this car; you would not have been able to register it.
We found out that the Catalytic Converter needed to be replaced as well! This was the “check emissions” light that came on when we got home with the car. We called The Auto Mart and Junior offered to send us $200 for the catalytic converter. This part is over $900! The thing that REALLY UPSET me was being told, by Junior, that they only made $500 off this sale! ABSOLUTELY NOT! DO NOT LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS! THIS IS WHY YOU HAVE SUCH BAD REVIEWS! Junior begged us for a good review, and my husband gave them an outstanding review after we left, but this car has been the BIGGEST LEMON we’ve ever purchased, so he took his review down.
It is now the beginning of September, so we’ve had the car for 3 months. We have spent more money on this car mechanically than the down payment! We’ve had this car for 3 months and it has been in the shop, or undriveable, more than it’s been on the road. The AC needs fixed; thanks for charging the AC right before we got there so we would think it worked great. We are replacing the purge valve for the THIRD TIME tomorrow. There’s more, but why even bother listing everything. THREE MONTHS! I’VE HAD THIS CAR FOR THREE MONTHS!
Long story short, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! If they had even attempted to make it right, rather than giving me some BS story about only making 500 bucks off this car, I wouldn’t have written this review. I would have chalked it up to bad luck and left it alone, but here we are. They are super nice people to talk to, but DO NOT be fooled! They could STILL make it right, and I would rewrite this entire review, but based on the final conversation, I do not foresee any phone calls in our future.

I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews. I’m writing this a year later, I bought my BMW 3 series from Auto Mart in Yakima. The only issue ive had was preventative maintenance but its typical for a car. Other than that, the car has given me 0 issues, still running strong! They sold me the car way below market value and even covered fee’s and sold me the car as listed price. The saleman who helped as well as the office employee’s there were great! They even had met up with me on a Sunday as I really wanted the bmw, i can proudly say I will be coming back soon for another car! This place is better than the other car lots in Eastern WA. Thank you:)!

Please AVOID to Save your time and money. I recently bought a vehicle 6 months ago. It now has a cracked head gasket. With coolant leaking into the engine oil. They know what they’re selling isn’t good quality since they make you sign so many “sold as is” paperwork. Worst mistake of the year.

My bad experience is that I bought a car here and after 15 days the engine was no longer useful. If you are going to buy a car here, think about it.
