Would recommend to anyone willing to pay for good, honest service. They have kept my jeep compass running smoothly and saved me when a tiny part went and shut the whole car down!!

I recently had the control arms changed on my vehicle at Westside Car Care, and I must say, the quality of their work is exceptional. Not only did they ensure the job was done right, but the level of customer service I received was commendable. They demonstrated immense patience and understanding towards my concerns, making the entire process smoother for me. I'm truly grateful for their professionalism and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of car care services.

Haven’t acutely got the truck to see how the service was. Was called twenty minutes to 5pm telling me the truck was done. I called an Uber and made it to the shop ten minutes after 5 and they were closed. So I wasted $50 on Uber’s. and will be without a truck for the weekend as they are closed. The gal who called me should have warned me that they would be closing in twenty minutes.

TL;DR - They did not fix my issue but acted honorably in the end. Background: The harmonic balancer on my 5.9L Dakota disintegrated. The Dodge 5.9 has a different balancer to the otherwise-similar 5.2 engine, and also different to the pre-1993 version, which was called a 360. Also, original factory 5.9 balancers were bolted together with the crank pulley, but the current aftermarket ones are a 1-piece assembly. 5.2 balancers are still the old style. Now the story.Westside gave me by far the soonest time estimate of any shop I called, so I chose them. They finished the truck WELL before their time estimate. When I started the truck, I immediately noticed a severe engine shake, just like had started when the old balancer came apart. I suspected they put a 5.2 balancer on, and upon asking, they said they had indeed. They said that they ordered the 5.9 part and that it looked different to my stock part and did not physically fit my engine, but the 5.2 part fit easily. I'm not going to go into the mechanical story they came up with to explain this, but suffice to say it was ridiculous to the point of comedy. I asked to have them try the 5.9 part again, but after seeing one from the Dodge dealer, which looked similar to the one that hadn't fit, they declined to waste more time on it. My speculation is that they were originally given the old-style 360 part, and that the part from Dodge would have worked. That would explain the diameter mismatch they described, but I can't confirm this.I asked Westside to give me a partial discount since I was having to undo and repeat their work, but they stood by their decision with the 5.2 balancer. However, they did say we could talk if I managed to get the 5.9 part installed and the engine smooth. Not trusting any shops at this point, I waited ~6 weeks for my friend to return from his duty as an Army diesel mechanic. I understand concepts, but my hands don't understand tools.Last weekend, my friend finally arrived and very easily installed the 5.9 balancer, which I bought over the counter at O'Reilly's. It fit perfectly. Today, I presented Westside with their 5.2 part and smooth-running truck, and they printed me a check for a FULL refund. Parts, labor, everything. For all the drama and hardship that happened, I have to say I was extremely impressed with that follow-up at the end. I never expected a full refund, but it really dies make my life easier. Without that, this would have been a 1-star experience. That said, I still can't give 5 stars, because of the absolutely outrageous theory of the mischievous crank swapping bandit used to explain the part misfit. No one, but NO ONE has ever de-stroked a 5.9 Mopar while keeping every other part factory-stock. Maybe, MAYBE if it was a hot-rodded vintage Duster and some goober wanted to do a poor boy's 340 imitation build, but not a stock truck motor in its stock application.

Really Brad?? There was no oil in my Jeep after u guys supposedly changed it!! I lost a lifter over this!! It was not four months give me a break I'm not stupid!! I work for the school district and am around the best mechanics. I heard the ticking and the checked it and there was 3 quarts low. My jeep does not burn or use oil whatsoever. It's been very well taken care of. I would appreciate you not making it sound like it's my fault!! I hadn't even drove it 1000 miles when this started. I want my thousand dollars back and I would never bring any of my vehicles to you again.

As others have mentioned this shop is incompetent and will take on jobs they know they are not skilled enough to complete. On top of that they use parts that are below base, so think unbranded unknown parts which can further cause damage to your vehicle. When they had my car twice it came out with more damage then it went in with. Furthermore they refuse to accept responsibility and will blame you the customer just so they avoid liability. On top of all this they will post some bs responce to this acting like they care to save face on the internet. If you dont want thousands of dollars of damage done to your vehicle avoid these scam artists like the plague. So to keep this long story short, vehicle was brought in for a problem. This shop replaced two parts, vehicle starts having critical overheating a new problem. Brought car back, replaced parts again, same problem again. Causing me thousands in towing bills out of the mountains and critical engine repairs. Tried to work with them on a solution, they blamed me saying I told them not to check anything else. Brought to two different shops for second opinions who then told me theyve never seen such cheap parts used and that they were falling apart or not put in right causing the new problem of overheating. This shop will never own up to this unless you get a lawyer. The secretary Maria knows nothing about vehicles but refuses to consult the mechanics when questioned abour repairs and will later blame you the customer for damages they caused. The manager when you can reach him, is a joke and he will say its your fault somehow. Second qualified shop I went to fixed the problem and told me these mechanics did not know what they were doing. Their positive reviews are also fake if you read some of them they sound auto generated. You have been warned, cue their heart felt responce about how they tried to work with me.Reaponce: Brad is a liar I asked their shop multiple times to check everything possible because I had a big trip in the car coming up. I asked his secretary Maria if there was any way it could be gaskets and to check and she said it was not possible and the car was done. Stop blaming the customer for your shops neglegience Brad. There is absolutely no reason I would have declined to have everything possible checked. The car only started overheating after it left your shop, due to your employees incompetence. You never said anybody would tow the vehicle, your shop installed an inferior part wrong causing overheating, the second shop said the thermostat was falling apart when they checked it they also had nothing to gain from lying. Not going to go back an forth with you, you had a chance to make it right. I was extremely nice on the phone with you all asking for you help, and how it can be solved. Never directly asked for the towin to be payed and you all argued with me that nothing was your fault.

Horrible experience. Will never take my car back to this place. Was charged $700 for a cylinder misfire. The next day my engine wouldn't start. Took it back and was requoted as a timing belt being ripped. As it turns out it was the serpentine belt. I took a car with a misfire and now will need to change out the engine. These guys just ripped me off about $1700 my just creating themselves work and breaking my car! What's worse they claim no accountability for their craftsmanship And just took my money! I hope this place goes bankrupt!

The service I recently used for my Jeep Patriot's catalytic converter replacement was outstanding. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. They explained the process to me in detail and answered all of my questions, which made me feel comfortable and confident in their abilities. The service was completed in a timely manner and I was informed of the progress throughout the entire process. When the work was completed, the staff took the time to review the work that was done and made sure that I was satisfied with the results. In addition to the great service, the price for the catalytic converter replacement was fair and competitive with other local auto care services. I appreciated that they didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary services or products.Overall, I would highly recommend this Westside Car Care for anyone in need of any type of auto repair. They exceeded my expectations and provided excellent service from start to finish.

We were in Yakima for an appointment when our rig broke down...called Westside! They got us in and out quickly without costing an arm and a leg! Made it out of Yakima and back home safely!
