L & W Safe Storage is a relaxed storage facility in the middle of Yelm with good prices. The staff are described as kind. Some tenants have rented units for many years, over fifteen in one case, and report having had no problems with theft or management, noting only occasional, promptly addressed issues. Price increases have been minimal. However, there are a number of issues noted by tenants. Access to storage units is subject to when the office is open, representing a reduction in access times, and the facility lacks a gated entry with a code, which some feel contradicts the claim of being "secure." Payment methods are limited, as they only accept cash, check, and money orders, with cards accepted only temporarily during the COVID lockdown. The buildings themselves need improvement, and the slides for the locks need updating. Despite these issues, units are in demand and tend to go fast.

Been absolutely great. Been with them for about a year, friendly, easy to work with, best rates I found near yelm.

I am the second longest storage renter at this facility. Over 15 yrs have had no problems with theft , management, 2 increases in unit price. Other then a occasional mouse which they have delt with on my request promptly and a reduction in the times are units can be accessed everything has been great.
