Always great people there, my favorite has always been their delicious London broil. A bit pricey, but usually worth every penny except for the last two times I've purchased it, it says it was packaged today but for the second time I've paid over 20 dollars for a package only to bring it home and throw it straight in the trash. It tastes like it's honestly rotten. A flavor so putrid I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. And it's completely sealed so you really don't know what you're getting until you're all the way home and it's too late. The gas money id waste isn't worth the drive back. Please get this under control because I'm probably not buying it any longer. I've already wasted the better part of fifty bucks on the trash can. Hate to be the one to say it, but at that price, you guys should at least taste test this stuff or something.

I came in tonight for some coffee filters and some candy after a long and emotionally difficult week. I went through self checkout, as I usually do, and had a short conversation with Wendy B. Then, as I started to leave, she offered to walk me to the door. I have to say, how I was treated made a hard week a little less difficult. Thank you, Wendy.

Got a salad from their deli, and when I go to eat it it has no dressing.
I called them twice and talked to three different members of the management team, the deli person in charge was rude and condescending, and lied to me multiple times about how they make these and who's in charge of it. Both her and the other two managers, none of them made me feel like I was important to them whatsoever or that they really cared or were going to do anything about it.
I was not even nearby when I got a chance to eat it, so I wasn't even coming back to make a complaint. I just wanted to inform them so that they might want to check the rest of their stock and not have more customers have the same experience. I have less than 0% confidence based off talking with these people that any of them checked anything.
I get this exact same item while I travel around from other Safeway locations, it's never previously been a problem so it's just a problem with the way the deli at this location assembles their salads, and the way that their management addresses when they have customers with a problem.
They need extreme retraining on handling customer complaints, rather than escalating them. Having me post this could have been completely avoided, a 60-second conversation and genuine concern expressed.

It's my local Safeway! They have 2 EV chargers that are free. Plenty of parking and decent size parking spaces. Produce is very good. Bakery is very good. They deli food can be not so good sometimes so check it before you order. I like to go to Safeway when I need something specific or hard to get. Down side is that their prices are a lot higher so watch for deals.

I moved to Yelm 2 years ago and always shopped at Safeway and Wal Mart where I used to live. The produce is great and so is the deli, although they act like they don't even see you while they do their busy work. Very poor customer service at this store, including the manager. I had an issue and I was explaining the problem to him and he was just looking around and was obviously not listening to me. Not great managerial skills. Acted like I did not matter. Take some classes or something and do better or maybe look for a different type of job. Thank you. O and by the way, Safeway where I used to live was great. No complaints and very helpful employees. Are they like this in Yelm because there are only a couple grocery stores and they don't think they need to be nice and helpful? Who knows..

Does the yelm safeway bakery even have people, let know what the hell they're doing? I put in an order for a cake for my daughter's 18th birthday and what we got back looks like a 10 year old did it. The writing was not even legible, there was almost no center filling between the two layers of cake and the icing on the outside was sloughing off like it'd been sitting out in the sun for days. If I could post pictures, I would. I will never get a cake from this bakery ever again.
