Nice beautiful church. Visited once. Preaching was on obedience and was biblical. Wish alter was done differently.. more like flooding of the alter with everyone praying for eachother and seeking God themselves instead of man centered. Need more freedom in the Spirit. More pouring out of ourselves before God. It's hard to do when there is too much structure. Allow God to take over!

I e had nothing but awesome service with this church. I've attended 2 Sunday services and they were both uplifting and emotional and very spiritual. They've also helped me paying on one of my utility bills. Great people here.

This is where I went to sign up to be a volunteer for the Day of Hope event in Beckley, and got a volunteer T-shirt. Very friendly people there who are members of that church. I was treated very well, and was invited to visit with them. Perhaps, one day, I'll play hookie with my church and do just that. The praise team that performs there, are very good at what they do, and the pastor is warm and friendly. The Spirit is definitely there. ... Well, I did visit them on the 75th Anniversary of the Assemblies of God, and I didn't have to play hookie. My church has two Sunday Services, so I went to the early service and then on to Calvary. It 8s as before; a great place to worship with friendly people that show you love, and take interest in you personally and spiritually. They are very focused on the community, and making disciples. When the church is all about Jesus, and treat you well no matter what, you know you've found a good church.

A place where you feel at home. A place where the Word of God is preached and not watered down or sugar coated. A place where worship is in spirit and in truth. A place where the outcast can find a family. Calvary Assembly truly provides ways to encounter God, connect with others, and serve the community.

My school held a ceremony in it's auditorium so I didn't get to experience any of the preaching or church itself but I did get a look at the place. It is a beautiful place with a huge auditorium and parking lot. Really pretty.
