This place fit my needs to a T functionally. And aesthetically, it's extremely charming and has lots of history! The food isn't bad either.
Also know that this hotel is its own thing, and NOT a Country Inn & Suites chain hotel! And one thing that's really wild about this hotel is that you have traditional room keys, not contemporary cards.

Stayed in one of the few pet friendly rooms. Laminated wood floor instead of carpet. Loved our room

We enjoyed our stay at The Country Inn. Bodie was the best server and bar tender. He made our stay so much more fun. Everything was great!

The Country Inn is very old fashioned. The rooms are comfortable but could use some updates.
There were no blackout curtains so a lot of light came in at night from lights around hotel.
The hotel is from another time, you use big brass keys for your hotel key.
The front desk staff are nice and helpful.
We were in the old part of the Inn and there’s no elevator so you will be carrying your stuff up stairs.
The section of newer rooms and the spa area elevator was out for two weeks with more time expected for repairs. So again, be aware of that if you’re going soon.
The spa is very nice but up several steep flights of stairs.
The hotel has front porch rockers, a garden area and lobby seating as well as a lounge type room with comfy seating.
It’s immediately next door to the state Park where there’s Roman Baths, a place to fill your jugs or bottles with spring water, a public pool and state run spa.
Reservations are needed anywhere you go spa wise, as well as at the hotel restaurant. Which was quite good.
The hotel is in town and everything is a short very walkable distance away, shops, cafes, restaurants, the springs museum and bath house/spa and pool etc..
Note though… shops and restaurants have weird days off, so check their websites or call ahead. Many things closed Tuesday and Wednesday others Monday and/or Tuesday some only open on weekends.

The Country Inn is a great place to stay, very clean, staff is great, best spa in town. Great prices, and the food is excellent. The only downfall, would be here at the Country Inn it is for relaxing. There is really nothing else to do.

Our family was on vacation in the area with our dog and we were looking for a place to eat where we could sit outside with her. We called the restaurant to see if they had outdoor seating. They said they did and that it would be no problem. We drove 25 minutes there, walked to the outside seating area where there were 3 tables with patrons, one also having a dog. My husband went inside to see about getting a table. After about 10 minutes he came back out to say they could “maybe” seat us within 1.5 hours IF they could find a server, (even though we watched a server help the other tables), while we were standing there one of the 3 tables left, leaving just two. I understand being understaffed, but if that was the problem then they should have stated that on the phone and we wouldn’t have wasted our time. Certainly did not feel welcome as a visitor to Berkeley Springs by this establishment.

Cozy, quaint historic inn located right at Berkeley Springs State Park. They offer spa services and have a restaurant and bar

Took my girlfriend out to eat for her birthday and her chicken was raw. She ate about half before she or I realized because it was covered in sauce. When I ask they to take it back and for a refund we were told “ok” and a few minutes later we were told that we would have to pay half. I would be able to understand this with any other food besides seafood but it doesn’t matter who you are if you eat raw chicken you get sick. Very unprofessional to one not be able to hire proper staff and two not have them at least use a thermometer before sending food out to eat. Will not come again to eat.

Given the historic nature of The Inn, I think the rooms should have ceramic coffee cups vs the cheap paper ones. Otherwise, everything else was great.

Old inn in the heart of Berkeley Springs. Staff was always friendly and responsive.
