I have a horrible upper respiratory infection. My Dr. sent prescriptions to Walgreens in Berkeley Springs WV. I could not go to the store and get my medicine, so I was trying to get delivery. Kim in the pharmacy should be recognized for AMAZING service!!!! She answered numerous phone calls and continued to help me with such kindness and care. I did get my medications THANKS TO KIM!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

I was visiting my Aunt in Berkeley Springs and she needed to get medicine so we went to this walgreens.we couldn't find what we needed no knowing it was behind the counter so we asked the person at the pharmacy counter where we could find it and he/she I don't know I couldn't tell so I didn't know whether to say ma'am or sir well anyway I got treated very rudely and was stared at like I was wrong for asking for help or whether or not it was he/ she mad because I wasn't sure how to address this person I'm just saying if you want to be different and want others to except you the way you dress as a man with lipstick earrings and nail polish then don't be rude to us like we owe you something.Alls I know is next time my Aunt needs medicine I'll drive the hour to go to a pharmacy that treats me the way they want to be treated And that is with kindness and respect. It's ashame this Walgreens hires people that do not have any costumer service experience rather hire them so no one gets discriminated.what ever happen to getting a job based on skills not confusion with ones self. My Aunt said it's ashame that Walgreens bought the Rite aide that use to be here

Walgreens in Berkeley Springs WV has always shown me much respect, quick service, and willing to work through insurance issues.

My mother went here to send a money transfer and though she input everything correctly, there was an error during the transaction on the part of WU that led to her having to cancel the transaction. She asked for assistance from the cashier, who was polite but didn’t know how to process the transaction so she called her manager, Steve Havermale. Steve was rude and abrasive and raised his voice, telling her “we don’t do that here and if we do you won’t get your fee back” my mom wasn’t asking about any fee and even if she was, there’s a way to politely say that. It’s not ridiculous to expect a manager to act politely towards paying customers.

Now I understand why this pharmacy has a horrible reputation for being the worst in the tri state area. I received a call from this pharmacy so I called back to see what they needed. I have only used this pharmacy twice because it was an emergency, so I wasn't sure why they called me. I waited 15 minutes for a guy that I could barely understand to answer. I informed him I received a call and was unsure why as I don't have any prescriptions active there and he said "Yeah we are short staffed. I know no one called you from here we are too busy". I replied and said "maybe a prescription accidentally got sent to you instead of CVS in Virginia, why don't you check?!".I never figured out why they called, but that completely justifies me driving 35 minutes to CVS in Virginia for all of my prescription needs. They have employees that are prompt, polite and they actually get the job done. They don't mess up prescriptions, either! Walgreens is a disaster and that store will never be fixed.

The staff here are very short. They work very hard but can't keep up. I realize it's a staffing issue. Perhaps Walgreens corporate should do everything they can to compensate the staff better, they work hard but are overwhelmed.

It has become a game. who can get the high score. I am winning. Today it took 42 minutes for someone to answer the phone. It has gotten to the point where it's almost guaranteed to be over 30 minutes.

Walgreens store itself is okay. The pharmacy is another story. I would give negative stars for pharmacy if possible. No weekend hours, drive thru is closed most of the time, long waiting line for prescription, yada yada... I have finally had enough and am changing my pharmacy. Walgreens shows it's controlled by China Joe.

This complaint is in reference to Walgreens at Gayle Drive in Berkeley Springs, WV 25411.Ever since the Rite Aid store was bought out by Walgreens, the pharmacy has been a nightmare to say the least. On two occasions my prescription was incorrect....wrong drug. or dosage. On three occasions my doctor issued a renewal via the Epic system.I received no call or text from Walgreens pharmacy after one week .I contacted pharmacy and was informed there was no insurance coverage for the medication.I am fully aware that my insurance does not cover the medication and have always paid cash.Nonetheless, I was not contacted informing me there was an issue. I had to call the pharmacist. The clerk informed me that your software does not make allowances for uninsured script coverage or any box to check therefore I was not contacted.I had to miss several days of medication because I was not informed of the problem.THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, with todays' technology. You are dealing with a department that impacts peoples lives and should not be taken lightly.I never had this problem with Rite Aid.Your processes/system is flawed and completely inadequate.I will be entering a poor review for your pharmacy, switching to another company and will warn others in the future.NOTE: I have also discovered many of my friends have had exactly the same experiences.Regards,Outraged customerG.A.

I’m from New York State the Walgreens down here is much nicer the people are more friendlier at the pharmacy they seem to be extremely busy were short of people to work in New York State and I see that West Virginia has the same problems people are lazy and don’t wanna work it was a pleasure being in the store

Worst of the worst. Would give them -100 stars, if possible. They refuse to answer their phones without an excessively long wait and long automated process. Had a question about medication and it took forever. I gave up actually going into the store to shop, due to the rude customer service. Management needs to improve this store.

I absolutely hate this place. They have the worst customer service and it takes them forever to fill scripts. If there is an issue with filling your script, don’t expect them to let you know. They won’t and then you’re stuck without your medicine. Hope you don’t need it to live because they sure as heck don’t care if you do!!

Hours need to be updated so customers aren't coming in to get their medicine and not able to!

I slept wrong or my arm got sore from the stress of the late night drive, but it has been *killing* me all day today. I need some ibuprofen and I need it now. (What I didn't realize at the time was that I had some in my suitcase and in my glovebox.) This Walgreens is neat and tidy and could have just as easily been in Boston or Boise as it was here in Berkeley Springs. Very formula and laid out the same as others. Advil (generic) dry swallowed and a half hour later, I'm back to 100%. Thanks, Walgreens! [Review 15567 overall - 50 in West Virginia - 1071 of 2021.]
