Competitive prices. Great inventory with items you can't find in some chain pet stores. It's my first choice when I need something for the doggo.

Had our dogs groomed. They did a good job but four days later we are paying our vet 600.00 dollars because our dogs have kennel cough. It is very contagious.

Always great service. At times the bugs didn't come in or they are not as big as I would like however, I will go there before anywhere else.

We had a horrible experience with the groomer there. On my yorkie poo's first visit, I told them to groom him. I couldn't get the receptionist to understand that so she said they did a feet, face and Fanny. They left the rest of him long and it looked ridiculous. The second time he came home with mats on his belly he hadn't had before. The third time was last Friday. They had a power outage earlier and instead of rescheduling customers they were trying to squeeze everyone in so they wanted to rush. They called about a half hour in and said his leg was matted to the skin and asked if they could shave the mat. I agreed. They called 10 minutes later saying he was matted all over and needed to shave him. That was a lie. I told them they were not shaving him. They said they do his feet face and Fanny again. I was furious. I went to pick him up and the owner treated me like I was stupid. Kept berating me for cussing her staff which I did not do. I told her it was bullshit that he was matted all over because it was. The receptionist asked what brush I used on him and I said a slicker. She didn't know what that was. Working at a groomer and not having heard of a slicker brush is beyond comprehension. They had shaved my poor dogs eyebrows and left his moustache untrimmed making him look silly. I immediately took him to another groomer to be evaluated. She said he had a couple mats on his legs. Not to the skin and she could comb them out. I brought my boy home and he was so traumatized he vomited twice. They also kept berating me for not knowing about a doodle coat. Basically inferring I shouldn't have a doodle breed. We didn't seek out a doodle breed. We rescued him from a humane society who found him wandering a busy street in Parkersburg. When I left eastern, the groomer said "good luck finding another groomer". I found one. Don't ever take your dog to eastern.

I was searching for 2 Oscars for my fish tank and they said they had a lot of red tiger Oscar’s and other variety, we drove about 45 minutes to pick them up and they only had 1…and it was dead, the guy said they haven’t had any. I will never set foot in this store again, there is no need to lie about what fish you have.

The staff at Eastern Pet Supply are excellent! Carried my large dog crate and loaded it into my truck…while it was raining. Reasonably priced!.:-)

Normally I've had great experiences here until today. Called and placed a hold on an adult bearded dragon, told my kids we were getting another one! They were so excited! Walked in and the bearded dragon was being sold by the lady who took my hold! We have spent thousands of dollars here on snakes, tanks, rabbits and feeders here. Never again.

I hate to say it but when I come here I usually regret it. I ve gotten a few fish here and they've either died or were sold to me as the wrong type of fish. The plants if they have any look horrible and way over priced. They don't sell fish the same day a shipment comes in which is usually Tuesday and won't sell plants either... The treats that my cats love are triple the price here. Ive never seen a decent deal here. Staff don't seem overly concerned much. The dog daycare/grooming can be overwhelmingly loud as there is no actual wall dividing the areas and the echo is intense. The plus is they have adoption events for cats.

I have always had great experience here until today. My husband came home from getting food for our snakes. Said there was an adult bearded dragon for sale. I said to go ahead and place it on hold and we would go get it. He called placed on hold. As we arrive to see and purchase our new baby, it is being bought right in front of us by the exact same worker that took the call to place on hold. Worker stated she "forgot" to place the bearded dragon on hold. My kids and I are heart broken. We have bought numerous animals and feeders here. We will now go elsewhere from now on.

Wow. Yesterday I called to see if they had a bark collar for large breeds so that I could “shop small” as the sign says. It was ten minutes to eight when I called and I told the woman I was on my way to buy it. Traffic at the Emily drive light was particularly bad and I arrived at 8:05. The woman saw my at the door and waived me on. As a small business owner I find this astonishing and appalling. I guess that small business is doing well enough that they don’t need my money. I guess I will give it to chewy then. I will absolutely never shop here again.

I purchased a dog harness for my small puppy. It was obviously too large when I brought it home. I was told I could return it within 24 hours for a refund. I went in to return it and they took 10% for a restocking fee. I asked if I could place it back, they said it’s “just the policy”. I come into town a couple times a year and spend ~ $50 on over priced dog treats and bully sticks. I’m fine with that. Support your local business right? I do not understand the mindset behind charging your local customer base a restocking fee on new unopened item. There are other pet stores and big box retailers in town to compete with, competition is not only pricing. It’s the customer relationship and transparency. I’m fine spending a little more on things to help the local community economy. I would not have noticed this restocking fee if the harness wasn’t so expensive. I feel this is a shady practice and insulting to local customers. Unfortunately there will be no more supporting this business but instead trying another pet store or sadly, lining the pockets of the executives at large online or big box stores. I hope the owners see and read this review and change their practices. This is new to me. I don’t know of any of their competitors who do this.
