“I stayed at the Bicentennial Inn in Buckhannon, West Virginia for three nights and had a very comfortable experience.
This is not a Hilton resort, but it was just as good as any solid chain hotel. The room was clean, well maintained, and exactly what you want after a long day. Everything worked, the space was comfortable, and I slept well each night.
One thing to be aware of is that the doors are not highly sound resistant. Loud conversations in the hallway can wake you up if people are not being considerate. That said, I still got a good night’s sleep, and my Garmin watch agrees.
One of the best parts of staying here is the location. The inn is within easy walking distance of downtown restaurants and West Virginia Wesleyan University, which is a real plus in a small town like Buckhannon.
There is no pool, but there is an evening bar and video slots, making it easy to unwind without leaving the property.
I would absolutely stay here again. And for context, I am a former Hilton Diamond member, so my expectations are not low. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay in Buckhannon, the Bicentennial Inn is a solid choice.”
