This was a wonderful stay! The drive from DC was around 3 hours. The roads were easy to navigate, but very curvy. Beware, the driveway is very steep, ensure your car can handle it. The owners were present and personable. We spoke before our stay about food and they were very accommodating for me. The room was comfortable and the Inn itself had a wealth of information about local attractions and plenty of things to do on site, too!Safety: It's an older building, but each room has a code to unlock, ensuring you never forget your keys. I felt very safe as a woman traveling alone.

Nadia and Janese were so hospitable and did an incredible job making us feel comfortable during our stay. If you’re looking for a place to get away in this area, this is the best spot for relaxing and recharging. My wife and I would love to stay again.

North Fork Mountain Inn is straight out of a story book! It is in the most idyllic and quiet location. Nadia and Janese are amazing hosts and have put so much thought into North Fork Mountain Inn. Also, the food is amazing! The best chicken pot pie I've ever had. I highly recommend staying here - you'll love it!

We stayed here over the past weekend. Hosts were amazing and very personable. They made sure we had everything we needed and that we were nice and comfy. Made us feel at home. Our room was beautiful. Had everything we needed. The inn was fun to stay at. With a pool table and board games on the first floor we had plenty of stuff to keep us busy for the time we were there. (Loved the Bob Ross game. Was really fun.) We didn't realize there was a hot tub, so we'll def be bringing swimsuits next time. We opted out of the dinner they had on site (we wanted to try a few other local places), but the breakfast we had the next morning was amazing. Nice fluffy waffle and fresh fruit with scrambled eggs and bacon is what I had. Made me wish we would have tried the dinner. The only complaint we really had was that the WiFi was a little spotty due to the weather, but we learned real quick it just wasn't this inn. We had trouble getting service and internet just about anywhere we went in the area. And again definitely not the inns fault. Just the area. More of a heads up if you absolutely have to have it, you're going to have trouble just about anywhere you go. And getting away was the point, so we weren't too bothered by it. We def can't wait to come back and we def plan on trying out one of the cabins here in the future.Nearby activities: Plenty of stuff around to do. We did the horseback riding to the top of Seneca rocks and went through smoke hole caverns. Also, made a stop at the highest point in WV at spruce knob.Noteworthy details: Amazing hosts. Thanks for a great stay.

When my girlfriend and I were looking for a weekend getaway from DC, we happened upon the North Fork Mountain Inn, and we can't stop raving about it! The hosts are extremely accommodating and knowledgeable, the view is incredible, and the amenities (pool table, hot tub, etc.) are the perfect extra touch. The whole property had a fantastic rustic-chic feel to it, and the rooms are just what you'd want for a weekend in the mountains. We got lucky and there was a guest chef staying at the inn when we were there. His cooking was fantastic, but I'm sure the regular meals are great, too!The day we arrived, we spent more than an hour just sitting on the front deck and watching dozens of hummingbirds buzz around the bird feeders as we took in the mountain view around us. Later that night we sipped wine as we sat in the hot tub and gazed at the hundreds of stars overhead. Who could ask for anything more???There are several great hiking trails in the vicinity - thankfully the owners directed us to a shorter one, as we had a pretty tight schedule for our final day. But the view from that trail was incredible, too. We only wished we could have stayed longer to take advantage of some of the other nearby activities, like fly fishing and horseback riding. Can't speak highly enough about this lodge - if you're looking for somewhere to disconnect in nature while still having a comfortable stay, this is the place for you!

I spent Labor Day weekend in this beautiful secluded inn and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and luxurious our stay was! The beds were enormous and soft, the hot tub was incredibly relaxing, and the inn owners were some of the nicest folks I've had the pleasure of meeting. They cook a delicious home-made breakfast for the residents everyday, and I would highly recommend trying out their 4-course meal on Saturday evenings! I truly cannot recommend this inn enough, not only for the experience of exploring the beautiful surrounding scenery, but also because it is a clear labor of love from the owners to make sure all of their customers are well-taken care of and can happily enjoy the wonders of West Virginia. If you are thinking about visiting this area, staying in this inn is a must!

the hospitality of this place is unparalleled. beautiful rooms, kind hosts, delicious food and spectacular scenery. Janese and Nadia are so wonderful!! The mountain driveway was originally a concert but it turned out to be no problem even for my small car. Lots of beautiful hikes around the area and the perfect place for a sweet off-grid trip.

Out of all the B&Bs I have stayed at, this has been one of my favorites. It is secluded with a beautiful view of the mountains. Sitting in a rocking chair on the porch with a nice cup of tea taking in the view was so incredibly relaxing. You may even catch a glimpse of a hummingbird on a feeder! There are also some amazing hiking trails and waterfalls to see in the area. Janese and Nadia were hospitable and made our stay one to remember. Our conversations were very enjoyable, and you can tell they are passionate about running a B&B. They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions, and I was excited that they provided choices we could pick for breakfast like two options between a main dish and then a choice of what kind of eggs and meat.

Well, what is there to say, but "go"! Nadia and Janese just took over this peaceful inn where you can find joy in local hike, tranquility and humming birds. It is very cozy, the rooms are all wooden with great views. We stayed at the Eagle's Nest room and had our own balcony. We enjoyed a home cooked dinner on two of three nights and it was delicious. We met nice people and enjoyed the the inn's own scavenger hunt with a family that also stayed there. It's perfectly located in the wilderness and worth a detour. Like I said: Go!

Spent the 4th of July weekend here in the Timber Townhouse, and it was the most lovely stay. Janese and Nadia were so attentive, and couldn't have been more gracious hosts. Each morning we enjoyed the most delicious breakfast overlooking the breathtaking mountains. The townhouse was pristine - so clean and comfortable. The spa tub was luxurious with all kinds of special jets, and a self-drying feature. We also enjoyed sitting in the hot tub outside one night watching the sunset while the fireflies started lighting up. We spent our days floating down the river at nearby Big Bend park. It was such a memorable weekend, and our family plans to come back often.

I took my wife here for her birthday weekend and we absolutely loved it! Janese and Nadia are wonderful hosts and run a lovely B&B.The breakfasts were delicious, and the portions were just the right size. We didn’t partake of dinner, but we did take their recommendations on where to eat (see my reviews for the Twisted Pig and El Jaripeo) and they were great. Our room—Eagle’s Nest—was comfortable and we enjoyed our private balcony. The silence of the surrounding mountains was heavenly. If you want someplace off the beaten track to relax, this is the place.Rooms: Room was comfortable and clean.Food & drinks: Food was freshly prepared to order and was delicious.

We came up to North Fork Mountain Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We wanted a quiet getaway for a weekend! We got what we wished for! Gorgeous views! Totally worth the 7.5 mile drive off the main road up the mountain.**Not really for families as this place is more for couples who need time to reconnect without interruptions. We selected the timber townhouse. The Inn keepers Nadia and Janese were superb hosts!!! Breakfasts are delicious. We almost opted to have dinner but we decided we wanted to continue our "no set schedule" weekend. We wanted to explore the area without feeling pressed for time to return for the dinner at the Inn.Thank you Nadia and Janese for a wonderful weekend at your place. We will be back!We can't wait to see the updates you make to the place.Note: wifi is good in the room. Verizon-ZERO ZIPPOOOO cell service. But the wifi at the INN is good for texting and a movie. We were able to stream a movie one evening without issue.Nearby activities: Places we visited while staying at North Fork Mountain Inn.Day 11.Seneca Rocks2. Spruce KnobDay 23. Green Bank Observatory4. Cass Scenic Railroad5. Snowshoe Ski Resort6. Black Water FallsFood & drinks: Places we went to eat. Nothing Fancy.. We enjoy local eateries and wanted to support all local businesses while visiting.1.Sue's country kitchen (Petersburg)- it is attached to a motorcycle shop. Kinda smelly at first but you get used to it. We were hungry and many places were closed at the time. The food was good- Comfort-country food.2. Yokums camp store across from Seneca Rocks.- It is a burger joint.3.Bambino's pizza shop in Petersburg. We thought the Pizza was good. Nothing fancy.4. Wicked Wilderness Pub in Davis outside of Blackwater Falls State park. Highly recommend the Trout Dip.

Absolutely beautiful place and Janese and Nadia were wonderful hosts! My wife and I were in the area for our grandsons baseball tournament and we were so happy we found this little slice of “almost heaven.” The solitude, peace and quiet was extraordinary! Hiking on the nearby trails is a must as well as exploring Smoke Hole canyon, the caverns and Seneca Rocks. Breakfast everyday was fantastic and the salmon dinner with wine on Sunday night was exceptional! We stayed in one of the towne homes which had everything we needed, was very clean and very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our quiet time sitting in the rocking chairs on the covered porch outside our room. Thank you Janese and Nadia for your hospitality and we will definitely be back to North Fork Mountain Inn! We wish you both great success!

My oldest daughter and I decided to stop by "The Northfork Mountain Inn" for a break from visiting colleges on the east coast. It was everything we were hoping for. Rural and rustic with incredible views. We enjoyed a moderately difficult hike, right off the property. Janese and Nadia were very kind and welcoming. The food was excellent. It was an awesome break from the rat race, and first time I've chilled out enough to pick up a novel in years. Thanks so much!
