Kroger is a store that has really upgraded and is nice, clean, and has a helpful staff. The store is well stocked and very clean with plenty of room to move around. Employees are often friendly and helpful, and the pharmacy is full of caring and compassionate people who are quick to help and answer questions. They always abide by HIPPA laws. The store has a good meat department and very good sales, though a Kroger card is required. Prices are reasonable, though some are high. However, there are some consistent issues. It can be almost impossible to get cigarettes in the evening because there is nobody at the customer service desk. The phone rings without being answered. At self-checkout, the machines can interrupt scanning, forcing customers to bag items multiple times, which takes extra time. Pin pads sometimes do not work. One older employee at the self-checkout is frequently described as rude. Some customers refuse to buy anything from the grocery side due to other opinions. Overall, many have a very good experience and plan to shop there in the future, despite the inconveniences.
