No 24 hour gym while still increasing membership for some reason? Manager is rude and unprofessional also

Recently, I heard a comment from a YMCA member from NYC, who said this YMCA is one of the best he has ever visited and less expensive than his in NYC. While I expect this one is less expensive than NYC, I loved hearing that this is one of the best he has ever visited. I would agree that this is a wonderful YMCA.

Hi. I m your member. Your facility has good enough parking space. The cardio machine never full. Always has machines to work on. Your heavy weight area always has space too.The cardio n yoga classes are good enough from Monday to Friday too.The sauna room are good. But the steam room is too loud. Loud in the world.Few things hope u can improve:1/ wish u provide body wash/ shampoo/ conditioner .2/ some of the leather of the machine are wear out. Hope u buy the leather tap to repair it. Tks alot.

Starting off strong for most gyms in the area. They have everything yu can think of for a gym, that is everything except for a microwave. I will say they have a great pool with large swimming lanes, and a large hot tub. Good sized dressing room, changing stalls, bathroom, and showers. They have upper and lower lockers of different sizes. If you want a lock, you must bring your own, and if you want to keep your locker locked for multiple days you gotta pay a fee for it.Upstairs they have cardio machines and a walking lane that wraps around the room, they also have workout mats on the upper floor and lower level. Downstairs there are weight lifting machines of all sorts. They have tennis. They have a daycare. There's also water bottle refill fountains. They have an eating area upstairs (with no microwave), right outside of a small lounge with computers, gamming station, and a foosball table. They have many events throughout the year. This really is a great gym, the only flaws I have to point out would be, the dining area upstairs having no microwave. My friend and I would go for 3-4 hours and get hungry, so we started packing lunch so we could continue to work out after and without a microwave that really puts a limitation on things to bring, so then we consider going out to eat and by that time we don't feel like spending the gas to go back to the YMCA. With that being said, let me tell you about the pricing. Some health insurance companies will pay for the days you go this gym, so I've heard, but have yet to see. For just 1 Adult, it's $54 a month, that's wildly high!! They do have a plan for two adults and children for $77 a month, you can add as many children to the plan as possible, so long as they live in your household. But keep in mind, this is the only plan that allows two adults, and there is no plan option for more than two adults. You can refer to their website under memberships for more information on their options.Overall I do like it there, and a some type of discount would definitely make it worth the price!!

This was Hubs & my very first visit to this great facility...so I can only relate a little bit about the place for now.First, it's a huge place with lots & lots of different rooms/spaces, plenty of equipment & from what I've heard lots & lots of activities & programs. The day Hubs & I went, we practically had the place all to ourselves (maybe 25-30 other adults & 10-12 kids) in the early afternoon on a weekday. However, we've heard that when school is in session, the activity levels really amp up in the afternoons, so mornings would be best for adults wanting to use the facilities.Downstairs on the first floor, there is an area dedicated to weights & other resistance training equipment. Definitely not MY cup of tea, but Hubs says he may be interested in some of it... eventually. The basketball courts are on this first level as are several large rooms for various classes/programs such as yoga, seniors' exercise class, etc.The large swimming pool (the main attraction for me), the whirlpool/hottub(?), sauna/steam room, & the locker/dressing rooms are also on the first floor. It's a really large pool & has lap lanes roped off thanks to the fact that the pool is used most of the year for swim team practices. Apparently, there are swim board floaties & swim fins available to use, so you can really focus on your leg work in the pool. Be sure to call or check online for the pool hours in advance. The dressing room area is nice, clean & spacious, plenty of toilets, sinks, & shower stalls with dressing bench areas. There are a few curtained, "dry" dressing stalls, but they don't have a bench or stool in them to make dressing or putting shoes on a little easier. There is seating available in the private lockers area... you can bring your own lock or get a loaner at the front desk reception & sign-in area. There's also a small lounge area with a TV & some comfortable chairs.Upstairs on the 2nd floor, there are exercise bikes, treadmills, elliptical machines, etc, surrounded by a rubberized(?) walking track that's 84 yards full circle so you can keep track of laps to measure your mileage. Oh yeah, some of the bikes have programmable screens, so you can "bike around in..." certain famous cities of the world...like in Paris, San Francisco, Miami, etc. Very cool, to say the least!!I have only 2 minor complaints...Naturally, the entire building is air-conditioned & on a warm/hot day, it's very welcome. However, in the dressing room, it's very unwelcome, especially if you're walking from the pool in a wet bathing suit & with wet hair! I'd recommend they turn the thermostat up at least 5 degrees OR completely close some of the A/C vents in that area...PLEASE! One thing is certain, that 65°-68° cold air blowing out of ALL the dressing area vents sure speeds up getting changed into your street clothes... Brrrrrrr!!My other suggestion is to the Y's management specifically. All of the staff at the reception/sign-in desk are definitely well trained to be friendly & very polite. However, there seems to be a shortage of staff throughout the rest of the building. It would be nice when a new member comes there for at least the first couple of times (like we did that day), if someone on the staff would be sure to show them around & give some basic instructions on how to properly use the various equipment! At the very least, it would be helpful if there were some staff people who didn't just stand behind the desk but actually walked around & stopped to offer new members advice or help about using the equipment (you know, little "minor" details such as... "How do I turn it on?" for example!) For a Beginner, the equipment can be downright intimidating... especially if you have NEVER used any of it before. New members shouldn't have to go hunt down staff or bother other members nearby with questions. To walk in for the very first time & not have anyone

Great place to work out. A lot of different things to do. Offer summer camp for kids and daycare for parents that want to work out.

I do really like this gym and there is a lot to offer! I do wish they had a separate adult pool. The showers are nice, although there's always a couple with flies or algae. The end of the day/ week mildew that builds up in the locker rooms is noticeable. There's been stool on the floors or bathrooms stalls that can go a day or two without being cleaned, and they don't regulate smoking on the premises, even when brought forth.Overall, the equipment and facilities are pretty good considering it's a small town. 3.5 out of 4 for me

Nice facility. Bad venue to watch WVSSAC HS BOYS & GIRLS STATE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS. If you're not using Court 1, put up bleachers to accommodate the masses of fans following their teams from across the srate.
