The rooms were updated and well appointed and appeared clean. Maid service is not automatic on a daily basis - that was not explained up front. The breakfast offering was a little weak. Nothing spectacular, but then again - it's included.
Hotel location was convenient to the freeway and my work location and a 15 minute drive to downtown Charleston for some interesting dining. Nothing great as far as non-fast food nearby the hotel....I will take a pass on Golden Corral which was right down the hill walking distance from the hotel. The whole hotel experience was "just ok". Nothing great/nothing terrible.

Not cleaned....residual stuff on the floor and bathroom walls from last tenant.
Looks like they had fun though.

Super friendly staff. Recent site renovation. New carpet, super clean room. Quiet location with several dining options in the vicinity. Casino just up the street. Just 10 min from Charleston.

HOTEL ROBBERY!!!!
The hotel was anverage and breakfast was average and location convenient to the Shawnee Sports Complex was 10min. My good review stops there. A member of the hotel staff stole my son’s AirPods when they came in to clean our room. Both my son and I had our AirPods in the bedside table drawer and once the cleaning was done, my son’s AirPods were missing. The AirPods had an air tag on them and as dumb people don’t realize, you can track them with that. I confirmed with the hotel staff to see if they had them and they said they didn’t without even checking with anyone. So I took it upon myself to track them for about 40min and in that time, the tracker said that the AirPods were “moving” meaning someone had them walking inside the hotel. I went to each floor tracking the worker. The worker placed the AirPods in the 1st floor public bathroom behind a bottle of soap so no one saw them. I, along with the hotel maintenance guy, listened for the alert sound coming from the bathroom and found them there. He was witness to this ridiculous search. The hotel staff, ignorant manager and the corporate staff claimed that they didn’t take them and would not compensate me or do anything for me. We could not leave due to other hotel availability in the area and felt prisoners in our room. The Holiday Inn and their staff could care less about their loyal IHG customers so be forewarned! If you stay here, LOCK YOUR DOORS AND DON’T LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR ROOM! THE MANAGER AND HOTEL THIEF SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY! Good luck staying here!

He told me that they recently went through a remodel, but the remodel was so so. If you stay on the first floor the rooms are not quiet or secluded. If you have somebody talking in a room you can hear what they're talking about all the way down the hallway. That shouldn't be like that. Parking is very limited when it is full, the place could be better. But I probably won't stay there again if I have the choice.

Water pressure is horrible and for 200 a night, which is ridiculous, no bacon on a Sunday morning!!!! What’s breakfast without bacon while on the road!!!

We were driving and tired and decided to stop for the night. I called the front desk and said we were 20 minutes out, the lady said she would hold the room till we arrived and to drive safe. Once here, she checked us in and found a discount for us that was more than my AAA discount. The room was fantastic, nice, clean, new. This morning, breakfast was great! Staff is friendly. Location is nice. We bookmarked the place and will stay here again when we are traveling through! Thanks for the great night!

Would recommend this hotel very gladly. Staff excellent and good breakfast. Was very quiet even with construction going on.

Overall it’s a good stay for the money. I wish the AC in my room would stay on and get the temperature down to the settings on the thermostat, other than that it was fine. I couldn’t get my room below 72.

We somehow stayed in every hotel that side of Charleston before finding this gem. It's clean, good service, modern rooms. We get the king suite with a nice size living room with 2 televisions. Don't waist your time anywhere else in the area. You're welcome.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice pool for the kids and breakfast was pretty good. The rooms are clean and the hotel is in a nice safe area.

They put me on the ground floor. The room was beautiful and clean however I discovered the window unlocked and the screen popped. That was very disturbing. Overall the facility was very nice.

Stopped in for an overnight trip with family on the way to our destination. Location of the hotel was a bit random, in an industrial area. Hotel is under renovation, but our room was great and updated, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was located in a meeting/conference room since the lobby was under construction. Staff did a great job staging the buffet and food. Everything was delicious.
