I needed VP Flooring installed. I went to Lowe's, I got a quote. Lowe's insisted on 100% upfront. I broke the 1st rule, when dealing with a contractor, because it was Lowe's. I thought, they wouldn't send Larry, Moe, & Curly to my home. I was wrong!!!!! I left for MS, for Christmas, & I left a set of keys, so they could come in the Thurs-Sat, before Christmas. I came back Christmas night, & found that the door from the garage was open. I figured they forgot to close it. Nope, it would no longer close. Not only that, but they changed the thermostat from 68 to 74, so I was heating the garage for several days at a much higher temp. So, I immediately started looking around. My 3 week old paint job, was now covered in smears, smudges, in every room and even a utility knife slice, north south, about 3.5 feet from the floor. They pulled the toilets & put them back covered in grime. There was missing baseboards, huge gaps, dings & dents in my walls. The next day, I called Lowe's to complain. I requested a manager come out & take a look, so they could see what happened. My $18K did not buy an hour of a managers time. The company came out the next week, & took a look. They agreed to come out the following week to solve the problem. And on their way out the door, one of them said, that this is usually 1 of his "best guys". Due to last minute renovations some planks had to be removed, so we could put in planks, where walls used to be. His "best guy" skipped on the moisture barrier, even though my flooring called for it. The next day, was the day they were scheduled to come out to resolve the problem, not knowing about the moisture barrier. I came home, from medical exam, & found Maria, a very pleasant person, scrubbing my walls. Their response to the smudges & smears, was to replace them with flat spots. I left came back, the manager was now there, I didn't say anything, because I want Lowe's to start getting involved, after all, they gave the bid, & took payment. When the, flooring co manager was leaving, he said they could get all the smudges, & asked me to do some touch up paint, since I was going to have to do a little bit of painting paint due to the last minute renovations. When Lowe's called me the next, I told them no, it's not resolved, & why. They said they'd reach out to the company. The install company was suppose to call the next day, Friday 1-13-24. They haven't reached out to date. At this point, I'm going to file a grievance with the contractors licensing board, & looking at filing small claim suit. Which will never cover the $18K for the flooring job to be done correctly, or to have the walls, doors & trim repainted. The flooring company is Service Pros Ins out of Huntington, WV. One of the managers #'s is (304) 702-9967. This is a customers worst nightmare. Never, under any circumstances no matter how reputable you think they are, give up 100% before the work is done professionally & all issues resolved. The only reason they got 1 star, is because it made me give them something. I wish it would allow negative stars

If I could give a negative star I would. Recently purchased a stackable washer dryer and a dishwasher. When the washer dryer were delivered the clamps to stack them were not delivered. Went to the store and was told we didn't purchase them and they were a separate ($70 additional dollars). Fast forward to today and the dishwasher was delivered. When it was purchased we asked for it to be installed and thought we had paid for that with the purchase. The dishwasher is in the box, sitting in my kitchen floor. Delivery drivers state they just deliver. Called the store and was told that we did not pay for installation. Next available install date is 2 weeks out. This has been a nightmare. Will never purchase from Lowes again!!

I wanted to exchange an item, because it had missing parts. I had to get a refund and repurchase the item. That would not have been a problem for me, but the counter person was rude and short about explaining they don't do exchanges. Prices are a little high, as much as $20 to $30 for a special breaker. I was able to order on line for $38 their price Lowes was $68.

Purchased a washer and dryer last week to be delivered on Saturday a week later. So on Saturday I call to see when the delivery time would be they told me that the washer was delivered on Wednesday And she couldn't tell me where mine was at. So when I asked to be transferred to a supervisor she transferred me to delivery. At that point I've given up and when a supervisor did get on the phone and told me that I wouldn't get a delivery until the following week and all he would do is take off 10%. And he said Well, that's what employees get. I told him if he couldn't do better that 10% like free delivery also or something He could cancel the order. Needless to say Lowes lost my business

September 2022 by George M.
I purchased a storm door in December 2021. The door was installed in February 2022. In March 2022, the door malfunctioned and we got locked in the house and couldn't get out. I called Lowes and was told it would be 2-3 days before the installers could come out. Three days later, the installers showed up and was able to get the door open. The installer said that the mechanism was bad which caused us to get locked in and it needed to be replaced. He stated that he would let the store know what parts needed to be ordered and that someone will be in contact with me once the parts were in. Months pass and I never heard anything from Lowe's or the installers. I contact Lowe's and was told that the original installer were no longer contracted with Lowe's and the new installer would be in contact with me. About a week later, I received a call from the installer wanting to come fix the door. He asked if I had the part at my home and I told him no, that the part should be at the store. I was told that they would contact the store and someone would be getting back in touch with me. As of today, September 15, 2022, no one has contacted me so I called to the store to get an update. After waiting 20 mins, no one from Millwork answered the phone. I hung up and called back to speak to a manager. I was transferred to Paul (manager). I explained to him what was going on and he asked me why was I calling the store, I need to be calling the installing department for this to be corrected. Paul was not helpful at all, he was putting the blame on the installers and the installation department instead of trying to correct or fix the problem. I'm still waiting to find out when my door will be fixed!!!! This is the worst experience I've had with Lowe's.

When I went to checkout nothing was open but self checkouts, the lady running the self checkouts was a grumpasourousrex. Prolly better to have her in the back stacking heavy boxes than out front being a poopy pants to all your customers. I wish I had got her name so I could call her out, but she's easy to spot, she's the one with the bad attitude who seems to be struggling to manage a part of the store that the customers do by themselves. Maybe lowes did everyone else a favor by hiring her, because I sure wouldn't want her to work where I do. She was just a pleasure to be around, a summer peach that one sure was.

I ordered new carpet from Lowe's in October. This review addresses customer service, not the carpet (which is excellent) nor the installation (a nightmare, which I reviewed elsewhere). I told the measurer that everywhere there was white Berber - the basement, hallway, stairs and landing - was to be replaced. 435 square feet was ordered; I measured it about 70 square feet less. When the installers came, they said the landing wasn't part of the floor plan (I've never seen this; they don't provide a copy upon purchase, only the square footage). When I called about this, I was referred to installation. They claimed the landing wasn't included, and I had to pay for both carpet and installation. Why would I replace all the old carpet, and not the landing, I countered. Here's the kicker. I was told that I had been "advised " that my carpet choice wasn't suitable for landings, and I had opted for "something else." I was dumbfounded! This never happened. Plus, I'm not familiar with "landing " carpet. The carpet I chose is rated for stairways, so why would landings be some how different? So apparently I'm trying to cheat Lowe's out of 30 square feet of carpeting, not withstanding there should have been sufficient available carpet regardless. I even offered to pay $100 for installation if they provided the carpet, just to be done with it. I ultimately was put on hold for 15 minutes, and told that Lowe's would supply the carpet, and a representative would call the following day. I even called later that day, talked with someone else, and they confirmed that the call was to be made the next day. That was almost a month ago, and I've received no call. The Sunday after this mess, I did get a call from a measurer from Lowe's. I called him back, no answer. He called again on Tuesday, saying he'd be in the area Thursday. I called him back, left a message about what time to expect him. He never showed. I ended up doing the landing myself. I didn't have enough to do it right, so I went to Lowe's to see if I could order a 6 x 3 piece. No, I have to order an entire roll. $400. I passed. I really have no recourse. If I complain to Lowe's, the BBB, or the Attorney General, they've already indicated their willingness to lie to me. Why wouldn't they do the same to those agencies? This is gross incompetence, furthered by malice. Do not trust these people under any circumstances!

We're remodeling our new home. The lady outside letting so many people in at a time was super nice & made sure we got a clean cart (we had our 2 year old daughter). Then once inside Ben the employee helped us get the vanity we wanted & was super helpful & patient with us as I'm indecisive lol he needs a raise. Super nice! & another employee took the door to the front for us while we continued to shop. Plus they had everything we needed as the Barboursville one did not have anything except the lock which we had to exchange at this location because the one we had gotten in Barboursville didn't have keys.

30 Day satisfaction guarantee exchange is not what you think. They want to inconvenience you as much as possible. If you have a defective unit within 30 days of purchase they will NOT simply exchange it for you. They want to take it back to submit it for warranty and then use your refund money to purchase a new one. We were told it would be three weeks before we'd have the new one. Side note their installer broke our water shut off valve when installing it the first time and I had to fix it.

Lowes has 99.99% of everything you need. However sometimes it's hard to find assistance when needed. But today Terry H. in the electrical department gave 110% service. He found the right size pipe I needed for a super special project I was doing and cut it to lengths needed. I'm very please with his service.

1 star is the most I'm able to give this store. If you have a construction schedule to keep, do NOT count on this store's to make schedule! I purchase trim material on a Wednesday. Sales rep stated delivery Thursday afternoon. Got a call Thursday afternoon stating delivery is being moved to following week once all material is in stock. My reply was HELL NO! Bring what you got in stock. Which turned out not enough to bring the trim crew in on the Friday they were scheduled and paint the very next day. That following Monday, I called to find out status of remaining to be delivered...Got passed around, then a hang up with out getting my answers. This store is a FAIL if the General Contractor is needing to make schedule. And if the material was not in stock at the point of sale, why was I not informed so I can go elsewhere to find a supplier who can deliver on time.

I had to visit Lowe's a few times while Tony was working on a small bathroom project. The store is well organized but my only problem...I can never find a worker when I need one. I hate having to look for one of those red vested workers. The prices can tend to be high but if you need it, I guess they realize that you are going to pay it. I will be back, I just wish it was a little bit easier
