Open until 1230 and got refused service at 1130. Said they weren't taking anymore customers when there were still seats open. Sad, but maybe change the hours. I don't recommend!

This place use to be so rad! Like, so rad. Best breakfast in the state - hands down. But, I think those days are gone. Do you all do breakfast anymore? Its just tequila, tequila, blah, blah, blah. There are like 69 bottles of tequilla…what even is this? Tysons Corner? Geez. Like there are legacy bars in that area not sure why they are competing with them, but rest in power with that. A lot of my family use to stay there and I hear you can’t get rooms there anymore? Bums me out, but that is progress, maybe? Anyways, the food they have there is pretty good but that is if you can get it before it runs out and not sure if they even have a menu anymore. Last few times I was there the options were fries and wings. Cool…. I don’t even go in there anymore for food or drink, I usually just feel let down. I guess a lot of the locals don’t either. Its just sad. Def check out The Billy, Stumptown, Elenders, Hellbenders, The Eagles and Shop and Save.

I had a breakfast scramble/bowl. It was tasty and well-prepared. The menu is a little small... no omelets, but that makes sense as it is a small place. This is my go-to breakfast place in the area. I did not stay overnight here as I was camping nearby.Nearby activities: The area has a lot of year-round activities.Food & drinks: Tasty!

If you consider hot water a necessity, this is not the place for you!I knew this was a 19th century building, but I was expecting hot water. The first day, we thought the lack of hot (or even warm) water was an anomaly - maybe the water heater had gone kaput, but when there was no hot water that night or the next day, we became frustrated. The inn is above a restaurant, and the restaurant was open. A restaurant must have hot water, right? So why no hot water for the seven rooms in the inn?

We were in town for a race that my husband was running and stayed at Bright Morning Inn. The room was very nice and clean, well decorated and the bed was so amazingly comfy! They provide ear plugs for those that are light sleepers due to the building being old but even being a light sleeper, I did not need them. I did bring my sound machine which I am sure helped a little. Overall it was really quiet. More quite than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in. Easy check in and out. You do not even have to interact with anyone if you do not want to. The restaurant below the rooms was good as well. I think our room was right over the kitchen so we could smell food at times. I would recommend the inn for your stay!

Do your research so you know what to expect. This is a 19th century (1896) building on the main road through Davis. It is not new, fancy, or quiet. You are paying for convenience of location. It was nice having a coffee shop right next door.Off street parking behind the building was nice.We stayed in room #1 (family suite). The room faces the main road and is directly above Milo’s Cafe/Bar - you can hear everything. The only reason we gave it 4 stars and not 5 stars, is because the mattress/pillows. The mattress is firm with no padding. You can feel the springs. The pillows are very soft and do not pair well with the mattress. A higher quality mattress would go a long way in this room.We enjoyed our stay here and thought it was perfect for what we needed/expected for our visit to Davis. Would stay here again if we came back to the area.

Bright Morning Inn is the best dog friendly hotel in Canaan valley and beyond. Cozy, stylishly decorated rooms sit on top of a great restaurant with the inside and outside seating. The owner has created a wonderful place with the best food, perfect room decor and beautifully landscaped garden. The owner has amazing taste that shows both in food offerings at the Milo’s restaurant and the best artists he attracts to provide live music. You can’t beat the location - right in the center of Davis - next to the restaurants, microbreweries, shops, waterfalls and hikes. We stayed in many places around Davis. Bright Morning Inn is definitely our favorite. We would live there if we could. Meanwhile, we just keep coming back!

If you need a comfy place to stay, you can stay here. However, they don't have mNy amenities like iron/iron board. No microwave or refrigerator or ice machine. I am glad there was a hair dryer and shampoo supplies, etc were there. Towels were stocked, too. There was no hotel available in the close vicinity of blackwater State Park. This was the one but no available to book online. We drove there, and we were happy the room was available. The room 7 air conditioner wasn't working, so they gave us room 8. Parking was free from the backside of the restaurant.Walkability: Right on the street with very nice shops, restauratns and an ice cream shop

We booked this Inn for two nights. However, when we got there at 4:30 pm our room (room 7) had the window open and the air conditioning unit had a error on it. We noticed another room had the window open as well. When I reported the issue to the manager (Kelsey who arrived on site at 5 pm) she acted like she did not know and called a service man. How could she not know? Wouldn't housekeeping tell her when they cleaned the rooms and opened the windows? All rooms are upstairs as you would expect. She offered us something to drink while we waited for the air conditioning service man to arrive to repair the issue. I had a mojito. It was bitter, strong lime, little mint, and not sweet at all - while we waited. Once the service man was done (this all took two hours) I over heard him say the filter needed changed. I was tired and just wanted to go to our room so we went out back to our car to get our luggage. When we stepped out the back door we were hit in the face with the smell of skunk weed. As we rounded the corner there were two employees smoking a bong in an out building just outside the kitchen. That was enough for me. After letting the manager know she refunded us for the second night we had already booked. My husband took a shower before bed only to get scalded with hot water when someone flushed a toilet in another room. The next morning both my husband and myself had stiff lower backs from sleeping in their king size bed. We went down for breakfast (also paid for in advance) to be told they had staffing issues and that there was no breakfast available that morning. The stair case is narrow and very steep to climb. There was no attendant at night, no sprinker system (or fire supression system) in case of fire. . Our ceiling fan, although quiet, only had three (should have had four) blades. Narrow hallway, one way in or out. Safety was an issue for both of us I'm still waiting on a refund for the breakfast we never recieved. The food they were serving for dinner that night looked good but we didn't have any of their fare as the mojito was aweful. We didn't feel safe staying there.

Not my first choice , not even close. We had a basic breakfast of eggs, home fries, and bacon. Our eggs were Luke warm the potatoes also room temperature and off tasting, good thing we were under portion control , not your normal restaurant order amount. Our ask for crisp bacon was not that crisp but it was decent tasting. Our sourdough bread was fine , we each got one piece( portion control or chintzy). The people were friendly but for 12.00 dollars each for very basic breakfast, not returning.

Ok, here's the deal. If you're wanting a full service hotel with all the amenities, this isn't for you.But if you are wanting a nice clean place to crash in-between running around shopping, hiking or whatever...this will be perfect. We had room #7 and it was nice and cozy. Bed was comfortable and everything was neat and clean. We were on the parking lot side and can't say it was all that loud. I'm certain it would be more noisy on the street side. There is no TV and a community fridge and microwave in the common areas. Again, staying here should mean you are planning on not hanging out most of the time here. The restaurant downstairs is nice. Breakfast was really good.
