We don't ski but stopped in here for directions since cell phone service and GPS is very sketchy in the area. Clerk was friendly and went out of her way to help us reach our destination. Just looking around the store appeared well stocked and was clean.

Good selection of outerwear and good prices. Lots of local shirts to choose from. Decent snowboard boot selection. We always stop in and grab something every time we're in town. Solid little shop right in between Timberline and Canaan Valley

Different location, same great customer service. Last year I rented skis/boots from my family from the Ski Barn in Snowshoe and had a great experience. So when we decided to ski Timberline/CV, I immediately decided to rent skis/boots again from the Ski Barn in CV. Once again I was blown away from their amazing customer service. Their online reservation system worked great and pickup was very easy and quick, despite it being one of their busiest times of the ski season (Christmas/New Years) We absolutely love that we can pick up rental equipment the night before we need it and return it in the morning (before 9 AM) the day after we use it and not be charged extra. They were also very accomodating in extending my daughter's reservation 2 more days after she decided she wanted to keep skiing beyond the first day. And they also allowed us to come back in after the 2nd day and exchange her boots that were too big on her feet. The equipment we got was in really good shape and I loved my demo boots/skis. My daughter even got a new pair of Oakley goggles which she absolutely loved. Everything about our experience in the store was great!My only recommendation (not going to call it criticism) is to call the store and verify their hours because they seem to vary from what is listed on their Google Map listing. Google said they closed at 6 PM, and their website said 8 PM but they were actually open till 10PM (although their phone lines went straight to voicemail after 8 PM). Note: We were there on the week between Christmas and New Years Day, week so they may have been open longer than usual.Although this is the first time we have rented skis from the Ski Barn in CV, I have been a summertime shopper at this location for many many years and have always loved their selection of clothing/accessories and their friendly staff. I highly recommend visiting the Ski Barn anytime you are in Canaan Valley, regardless of the time of year.

Been to this place multiple times. They have the most affordable rentals around and the best staff! They fixed my bindings for me and helped me an my sister get the bindings set to our stance for no charge! they also gave us all the info we needed to get started snowboarding. Cant recommended this place enough! I’ll always be going there for all my snowboarding needs!

I love the ski barn. The staff is super friendly, they have a great selection of rentals, gear, and outerwear. I'm a huge dead fan, and thus Place has tons of Grateful Dead themed apparel. Visit every time we are in the Valley.

Ive been going here for well over a decade. The staff has always been great. I also love that they rent decent skis for decent prices when I invite friends to towm for the wekend. But my favorite is that they actually sell mountian hardware gear!

This place is awesome! We had bought a used Burton board from a different store out of state whose bindings kept coming loose, and finally one strap snapped. Came here resigned to buying new bindings and discovered they sell replacement straps! So picked one up, but the employee (didn't catch his name, was working evening 1/6/23) asked what kind of board and if we needed help installing it. We brought the board in and he said it needs the Burton specific strap, noticed the loose bindings and realized it was because they had the wrong screws ?♀️, fixed everything for us and didn't even charge for labor or the new screws. A+ service, thank you so much!
