If you need fuel for your car or fuel for your body, this is a great stop while you’re in Fayetteville. Conveniently attached to a subway restaurant the Exxon general store has everything you need. Always clean and well stocked. The cashiers always have a smile on their face. Large beer cooler with a little something for everybody. Conveniently located right off of US 19 near downtown Fayetteville.

Nice clean fueling station with a good selection of snacks, drinks and other items one would expect at any convenience store. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because of the traffic light at the intersection. Whether going north or south you are probably going to have a long wait (well long for me, so ordinarily I don't get fuel here unless I'm on empty). But, there is a Subway and Dunkin Donuts in the same building, so it is worth a stop for food. If you're heading north you CAN turn right on red to get off US 19 to get to the Exxon, BUT, getting back on 19 you can NOT turn right on red, so I suggest hanging a left out of the Exxon and go up to Keller Ave (about 500 feet or so at the stone wall), then left again. It dumps you back out on 19 just before the New River Gorge Bridge. Going south, however, you will likely be stopped at the light twice.
