We came to Gilbert to attend a family funeral so we needed a place last minute. Randy and Cindy had the cabin clean and warmed up before we arrived. The beds and pillows are so comfortable. The view of the Guyandotte River is nice and the area is peaceful and quiet. The cabin was decorated beautifully. You won't find a better value for what you get in return.

Wild wood cabins, is a great place to stay to ride the rock house trails on the Hatfield McCoy trail system. trail 15 & 17 only few hundred yards down the road. Trails are easy to get around on well maintained. Marked well. Call Randy at willdwood cabins Gilbert WV. Book your next adventure. If you don't have a atv. There's local rental places not far from cabinsRooms: Small bed room but comfortable bed good. Loft has two mattresses up there. Plenty of room in kitchen and living room for the 3 of us. Nice porch fire pit and picnic table in yard. Just a great place to stay and ride the trails. No phone service at cabin 1. Just FYI. Randy does have WiFi we got hooked up to we could use by picnic table. We had Verizon phones. River view it rained and my boy and I put kayaks in up at community center and floated to the cabin. river had water after rain was great. About 2bhr float.Nearby activities: Hatfield and McCoy trails rock house section. Community center. Hatfield McCoy bourbon & moonshine distillery.

Great location, close to the trailhead and beautiful view of the river. The cabin number one was nice and big with a loft of two beds, they pull out couch, and a queen bed in the back bedroom. Nice bathroom and a great porch with swing to view the river. Price slightly higher than surrounding cabins, but I could tell the owners cared very much about the property and their guests

Perfect location for RockHouse Trail access. You are pretty much right across the street from Trail 17. Very clean, quiet, and friendly. These cabins were built with love. Highly recommend them!!!

Just stayed at Wildwood Cabins for the 3rd time! We had a bigger group this time and the accommodations were perfect! Clean & beautiful cabins, plenty of parking space and the most gracious hosts ever. Randy & Cindy and their property never disappoint..

We stayed in cabin 3. Just two of us. Didn't need anything larger. The cabins are clean and all have all the amenities you need to cook small meals and make coffee in the morning before hitting the trails. There is a picnic table, fire pit and grill for when outside. Randy is the most accommodating and nicest person. This was our first time on the Hatfield McCoy trails and will definitely be coming back here to stay.

We had the best weekend staying with Randy in his cabins!! It was EXACTLY what we were looking for we had two couples and we stayed in 2 cabins right next to each other small but very cozy and had everything we needed! Randy was the best host we have ever stayed with and we all travel a ton. Anything we needed he answered and helped with, he even pointed us exactly where to find the wild horses, which we did!! We can’t wait to stay here again soon!! This was our 3rd trip to ride Hatfield McCoy trails and by far the best. His spot is seriously 1/4 of a mile from trail 17 trailhead. He gave us fantastic and spot on directions for some short cuts and “local” spots. The trip would have been good, but thanks to Randy’s help it was absolutely incredible!! Thanks again!!!

My wife and I booked a 3-night stay for a little getaway to Gilbert to ride some trails. We booked three weeks ahead of time so obviously couldn't predict the weather, which ended up being continuous snowfall for the few days we were there. However, it made for a great stay at Wildwood Cabins. The cabins themselves are small but adequate, with all of the necessities you'd expect such as a refrigerator, two stove eyes/ griddles, microwave, etc. WiFi was included but don't expect to be doing a lot of streaming as the signal was intermittent and wasn't extremely fast. But the cabins themselves were extremely clean, with great water pressure and temperature. Also had a loft with two mattresses for the kiddies (we didn't bring our daughter but will next time). The cabins are approximately 2.5 miles from the main part of town, where the grocery store and restaurants are located. Quick drive for your necessities and extremely close to the trail head for the RockHouse entry point for fourwheeling. The owners communicated back and forth with us several times to ensure that our stay was comfortable and to see if we needed anything else. Loved the view of the river.Great place to stay. We'd definitely rent from here again if we come back again this summer. Highly recommend!

This was our first time staying and will definitely go back (already planning for next year.) We stayed in cabin 1 and our friends stayed in cabin 2. Randy and his family was so welcoming and told us where to go and answered all our questions. They were very accommodating to anything we may needed. The cabins are cleaned and our bed was comfy to sleep in after being beat up on the trails..
