We didn't stay at the Inn but stopped for lunch on our way to Hawk's Nest. Very large dining room with a wall of windows that overlook Kanawha Falls. Our lunch was such a pleasant surprise. Many items on the menu are made in-house and are very good! Meatballs, hot dog sauce, onion rings, bread and rolls, and much more all homemade. Give this place a try....you won't be disappointed . Can't wait to stop in for dinner sometime.

I had a wonderful one-night stay and dinner here after a long day of driving and hiking. Everyone I met from the front desk to the restaurant to housekeeping was super friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfectly centralized for sight-seeing in the area. I had a restful night and was energized for my next day of travel thanks to the stunning hospitality I received. I'll definitely be back with my husband next time!

Last minute stop in our way in for Bridge Day. We got a cute room here as it over looked the falls. Yes, some TLC is a little needed but the “charm” is amazing. We ate breakfast before we left (which was great) and our waitress worked hard and she was very diligent. Location is amazing and underrated.

My husband and I drove up there from Charleston yesterday for dinner because in the past we have loved eating there. Last time we will go there. We were seated rather quickly after arriving. There were probably people at maybe 5 other tables so it was not busy or crowded. After being seated we sat for almost 30 minutes snd nobody even took a drink order or came back to see if we were ready to order. After sitting there about 25 minutes a man came in and was seated at table next to ours. Within 5 minutes one of the servers came and took his order. At that point since we had been there about 30 minutes with no service we got up to leave. Taking our menus to give to the girl up front. As we got there another couple had come in snd the girl saw the table we had just walked away from snd was telling them she could seat them there. I told them good luck in getting served because we had been at that table with nobody serving us so we were going somewhere else. The girl working there got real snippy with us and said they only had three servers working. That was no excuse. The place was not that busy. We left and drove to Beckley eating at Cheddars. They were busy but we got seated immediately snd had our food within about 15 minutes from getting there. I used to recommend Glen Ferris Inn for Sunday dinners to my friends but not anymore. I wanted to ask for owner or manager but by then my husband was done said we will never give them our business again or tell anyone else that it’s a good place to eat. Servers need better training in manners snd how to wait tables. They stood around up front talking when they should have been serving customers.Food & drinks: Poor service

I've been to the restaurant there before but many years ago. I'm not sure what the problem was but the baked had zero taste and the food was served on the cooler side of lukewarm. Very disappointing. The waiter was very nice and a pleasure to talk with. Maybe just order something else?
